HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY GASOC!!! whee
cinemas is ok, but i only go now to see what the people sitting in there say xD there's some seriously dumb stuff going on in there sometimes.
OH and an update on the art auction thing~

Happy late birthday wishes GASOC.
Sorry for the lack of postiness but I have a new job that's taking up far to many hours of my time. 12 hour shifts 4 days of week are starting to eat at me. Plus I'm looking for a different job at the same time, so personal time is sort of gone.
Well back to sleep, night shift for me.

No, these past few weeks have been killers for me. I tend to all the shows and plays at my school, so Im always running around beind the curtains in the afternoons. Outside of school is a whole 'nother mess altogether. X.x;;
So back to someting more anime-related: I need help cosplaying! I really want to dress up for Fanime this year, and I have just about a month to get somehing done. So far my ideas are...
-Natsuo from Loveless
-Nurse Joy from Pokemon (I'm not even kidding about this one.)
-Mascot suite of Anise's plush from Tales of the Abyss (Prolly not, cos of te work.)
Suggestions? Ideas? Concerns? xd

Ahh, I'm so excited. I'm going to see Avenue Q tomorrow (if I can wake up in time...)! I've wanted to see it for awhile, especially after hearing "Everyone's a little bit racist" and after finding out that that's where the whole "The Internet is for Porn" song came from. : >
And to think, I really didn't care at all about Broadway plays before I came here. It's like the football/movies craze in the rest of the U.S.
I haven't been keeping up with any of the new anime lately, but it seems like I haven't missed much. I do keep up with Death Note and D. Gray-man, but that's about it.
@AD--- Anime usually gets licensed though. I still have no idea how they're going to work around the copyright issue. But that's for them to decide.
Haha, I wish. I did okay last semester, but that was still when I was shut up indoors and had nothing better to do than homework/studying. Now it's exactly the opposite.
I cleared off this Friday and Saturday to crack down on my 10-page paper that's due this monday, but instead I went to Strawberry Fest, a teahouse, a street festival, Times Square, Central Park, and watched movies. And tomorrow I'm in a discussion from 9am-8pm + Avenue Q. The only studying/essay-writing I got done was putting my name down on Microsoft Word. gonk
I think we'll be fine as far as shootings go. Since NYC can be a scary place, we have pretty good security. What I'm worried about is the racism.

Sorry to hear that about the auction though. That's why I was always wary about joint auctions. Give the person some time to respond to the PM, and if not... boo to them.

Koji :: get dressed as natsuo and you'll be most likely get hit on by girls and a few boys. Get dressed as nurse joy, and you'll get everyone laughing at you, while a few girls and guys will hit on you.
dress up as the mascot suite, and everyone and their MOM will most likely either hit on you, or just look away.

Shiro - I rarely use any kind of terms to indicate different types of humans aside from "that one over there."
Iyou's been around... It's Lang who's gone AWOL on us. And Memai! Where IS that girl?!
Koji - o.O Wow. It's been so long since I've even seen the word "cosplay." I can happily say I recognize NONE of the names you've listed, so I can't offer an opinion, really. Not a good one.
Nyome - The Internet Is for Porn! xd I remember that. Genius.
Most of this season's anime is forgettable. I'm only following Claymore, NANA, Death Note and Toward the Terra now. Toward the Terra is basically The Giver meets RahXephon.

Shiro~ Hmm, so Natsuo looks like the easiest and most rewarding of the three. But I don't agree with the Nurse Joy comment, I think I could pull off a dress rather nicely if I got the right panties MADE MY HAIR PRETTY.

and that was in GD (which so happens to be the new CB for all intents and purposes)
Koji :: yes. besides, I only know of natsuo because you8 mentioned "Loveless" which if my memory serves me right is some shounen-ai (or was it Yaoi?) manga that one of Ryuuhou's clients told me she loved reading...
and did I ever tell you guys Ryuuhou works in an anime/gaming/manga store? well, now you know. 3nodding

Last week was officially BBBBLLLLLLAAAAAAAHHHH
Had to work both Saturday and Sunday, so basically seven straight days of teaching ... thankfully it was followed by a week long holiday, so no problems there.
The interview with Aomori went ... ok ... but I haven't heard back from them. However, I had another interview with a school in Shiojiri, Japan that is interested and I will be having a second interview with them sometime this next week.
Lately it's been Sleep, Starbucks and Anime. Holidays are rare during the Chinese school year, so I've been indulging.
Some anime related stuff:
Lucky Star - The shows a lot like Azumanga, with its moments of pure joy followed by moments of sheer blah. The last episode had a few more moments of blah and joy ... and the Lucky Channel segment wasn't so good. sad
Lovely Complex - If any of you guys are up for a romantic comedy, give this one a go. It's about a guy (who is the shortest person in his school) and a girl (who is the tallest person in the same school) who make a bet with each other on who will get a boy/girlfriend first, only to find that they are fonder of each other than anyone else. There are four episodes out right now, but I've only seen the first two.
Gurren-Lagann - Mecha anime with great fight scenes and awesome characters. Episode 4 was ... weird, because they let someone else (an animator) do whatever he wanted with it.
Think FLCL + one tiny mecha + another mecha + MASSIVE DRILLS and this is what you get.
Kind of.

AD~ That woman is by far my hero. To stand behind a counter game after game, reciting the same lines over and over without fail, and revive battered pokemon without question or hesitation... ...the nurse get up and pink hair have NO influence at all. xD
