I know you're there, lurkers. I can hear you breathing.
...maybe. Might just be me, though.
Just on the off chance that you ARE still alive and need something to distract you from work/school/whatever, I have compiled a list of the things that are currently getting me through my carefully scheduled 9-5 torture sessions. Some are old, some are new; all are borrowed, none are blue.
Enjoy.
------------------------------------------
MightyGodKing's summary of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (It cost him his Livejournal, so you know it's good. I recommend this for the anti-Potter crowd, for fans who have already read the book and have the blessing of a good sense of humor, and for people who don't know a Muggle from a mud pie but don't mind an excellent read.)
True Porn Clerk Stories (I must be the last person on Earth to have stumbled upon this; many have been happy to inform me of this fact. However, it's still good enough to mention here. The journal is exactly as the name implies: the brilliant, often bewildered anecdotes of one woman's time working as a video store clerk. This is safe for work...sort of. No pictures or anything. Just don't read it out loud.)
LOLcats / icanhascheezburger (Just because there might be ONE of you who hasn't seen this yet.)
Commenter Business Meeting 2 by CollegeHumor.com (A video of what business life would be like if it mimicked YouTube/Flickr/etc. commenters. This is only funny if you are familiar with LOLcats, Digg, and Internet culture in general. Probably not safe for work, as swearing abounds, and two women start making out halfway through the video -- unless your workplace is into that sort of thing, in which case you're totally fine.)
InterfaceLIFT wallpapers (Top-notch inoffensive wallpapers, perfect for work or school, where it is usually not prudent to let others know about your strange anime fetishes. Features photos of trees, sunsets, etc. and still somehow does not suck in the slightest. My last three wallpapers were from this site, and I have self-proclaimed high standards.)
XKCD (I like to think that if I were more openly geeky, I would have come up with this webcomic.)
Apostrophe Abuse (See, I'm not the only punctuation Nazi!! Now to convince my mother...)

Hands down, Darker Than Black was the best thing to happen to anime since Mai-HiME, including Claymore.
On a similar note, some jerk made a post in his blog titled "Anime Encourages Murder." He referenced, of course, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Some of you might be surprised by this, but I'm not, and I'm sure Koji is laughing and nodding.
Koji - I'm not sure that those who lean toward S&M would even find the comics funny. It sounds like the artist (L0cke? Who does that, anyway?) knows nothing about the subject, but tried to throw it in to appeal to the younger crowd. I can't wait until their parents catch sight of that.
I myself know nothing of Eau de Pr0n, thanks.
Akahoshi - Now, if they had just mixed cows AND bondage, I'd totally start reading again.
ROFL I love your narrative, though I am sorry for your loss. Did you hit him?
