Just got back from seeing Sweeney Todd. It was...fun...but I've never liked the sound that the slitting of throats makes. That kind of *squelch-whoosh!* has always freaked me out. For good reason, I guess.
NMC - Ho-ly crap. Hello. whee To say that the guild is "not dead" is only recently accurate. It was dead for quite some time, and may be dead again within the week (although I sincerely hope that it is not).
Lang - Children. Heh.

my birthday was a semi-success.
Ryuuhou got a $400 ticket for crossing a red light AND forgetting his wallet home though, so that makes up for the other family member being a complete jew. XD
Happy new years to whomever's here. :'3

I loved Sweeny Todd. I blame a friend that was sitting next to me though. Every time a body would fall she would make this sort of old-cartoon's-"too-bad"-sound. I seriously had the giggle fits throughout the whole damn thing, so I'm not really sure I actually watched the movie. Loved the musical though.
AD~~~! : D/ Hi how you doin'?
Happy late birthday Shiro! <3

To those of you who've seen Sweeney Todd: Did Johanna's voice not remind you of a garishly decorated house? Like a house that could have just been a nice, clean blue, but instead the owners decided to add fuchsia shutters, a dozen or so windsocks, and one of those stupid put-this-in-your-yard-even-though-it-doesn't-do-anything garden globes? On a similar theme, would it have been possible for her to use a vibrato that didn't encompass the entire scale? I'll assume that the trailer for Vantage Point was played before the movie... I'm so seeing that. And the last 30 seconds of the trailer had some of the most excellent music known to trailerkind.
Shiro - Congrats on your semi-success of a birthday! Please tell Ryuu we hope he has better days! xd Oh, and if you'll indulge me, please don't toss remarks like "complete jew" around like that. I won't even pretend to understand the reference, but I can't imagine it was politically correct. EDIT: And why are you a city...? NMC - I wish my friend had done that! Instead, she was wildly unhelpful with comments like "What's your problem? You knew he was going to slit throats!" and "Ohhnooo! Don't kill her!!" and "Whoa. Sacha Baron Cohen...and those pants... I mean...whoa." I'm doing well, thanks! What have you been up to? I think most everyone in the guild has been busy with school/work/whatever, so it's been fairly quiet here. axel - How was your birthday? whee I'm this close to getting a part-time job in a movie theater just so I don't have to pay 8-freaking-50 just to sit in an uncomfortable chair for two hours.

My birthday was swell. The night before I terrorized an IHOP with some friends, and the day of, I sat around on my behind and relaxed. whee I know I'm getting boring when all I want as gifts are "a day of relaxing" and "a nice blanket to sleep with."
Aydee: xd Joanna's voice was...yes. That movie was interesting. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet, haha.

Axellll <3
AD- I'm to believe it apparently amused the rest of our row, now that I mentioned to the rest of the posse that went. XD "Don't kill her!" That was my thought at the end. I am in constant denial about the ending.
Well. Unemployment and getting back some employments. School and the usual, I suppose. I've just recently come back to Gaia because I've so much time to kill. I kind of wish school would take a wee bit longer to start. (I honestly have no idea when it starts, but it feels so around the corner)
No, I have not heard of Vantage Point. *googles*

Shiro - You leave my mom out of this! xd
axel - Terrorizing an IHOP is an impressive feat, indeed.
NMC - I'm ok with the ending, really. In following with this sort of stories, certain people have to die, usually the older generation. There was a fairly good reason for each death (but I won't bore everyone with my rambling here). The entire thing wouldn't have felt like a void if they'd managed to make the Anthony/Johanna romance seem a bit more...romantic, and less like a fanboy kidnapping a goth chick. ("Darling, let's run away together!" "I never have dreams. Only nightmares." "...You're a lot of fun, aren't you?") If Burton had managed to make it look like there was hope for the next generation, then the movie wouldn't have been such a depressing mess.
Vantage Point will probably suck, but I do love the promise of spy/betrayal/badass-Dennis-Quaid movies. And I want that music to play whenever I drive anywhere. Like to the grocery store.

Yayy, 2008!
I spy with my little pixely eyes, a Noridaughter and a Langwifey. Finally I can have my dysfunctional family back? * w*;;??
I hadn't heard about this "sweeny todd" thing before, but now that I see the words "slit throats" and "kill", I'm not sure I want to search for it.
@Axel + Shiro--- Happy [late] birthdays!
And Axel, I've been wishing for "A day to sit on my behind and just relax" all semester long. It's not boring! Treasure itttt.

Happy late birthday Iyou~~ :D/
Nyommemmummy- Naw, I'm just a figment of everyone's imagination. : D
AD- I looked into Vantage Point. It looks bad-a**, that's fo'sho!
Seriously, but then again, a lot was cut from Sweeney's barber/killer time. I would have enjoyed more but, well, there was prolly no time. Yeah, Anthony/Johanna's relationship seems to lack so much. Really, it was more like she was going along just to get away not to go with her loved one, which was, what I though, supposed to be the happy ending in it.

Nyome - Sweeney Todd was a Broadway musical recently remade as a movie. It was good, but very dark.
NMC - Best use of remixed 300 music ever. Ever.
The movie could have done with an extra twenty minutes. I wouldn't have complained. Johanna looked like she had no idea what she was doing at the end! I think Anthony could have taken her back to the judge's and she wouldn't have cared!
Shin!!! - heart heart heart Hello there. Happy belated birthday!
