Cael took the second glassful gratefully although he couldn't help but try to force it from the captain's grasp. He was unsuccessful, however, his hands shaking too badly to pry it from her, and gave up, able at least to think a little clearer for the time being.
"...Wait." Cael looked up at the other two, focusing on their faces clearly for the first time. "What's going on?"

"You don't remember...? Why is that not surprising...?"Said the captain in response, thinking it wasn't much of a shock. Well, there was always somewhere to start, "You wandered up on deck, and in case you haven't noticed, we're in a bit of a rough patch as far as weather is concerned. You ended up going for a little swim. We fished you out quick enough but..." Li's eyes turned to Allen to explain what exactly was going on with the sickness.
The healer wasn't too shocked to find that Lina had skipped most of the details on everything that had happened, but he didn't want to mention it. "You've contracted a virus. Its not contagious except to others with your manipulation. The thing is, that's what it feeds on,"He started, hoping to explain this as simply as he could, "Every person with a manipulation has the trigger for it flowing through them...Think of it as the thing that lets you use it whenever you want. But with viruses like the one you have, the sickness starts to eat that trigger, and make you ill. Since you've got a water manipulation, you sought out water...and since we're on a ship, you went for the most easily accessible, namely, the ocean."

Cael flushed. He had heard of this before... and, boy, did he feel stupid. The ocean? Really? He shook his head slowly in disbelief, then the more pressing questions began to come to him. "What should I do? You said it was... should I leave?" Cael was starting to get lightheaded again, but he was able to hold it off a little longer. "I can think clearly now, but I don't know how long that will last."
((Ugh, sorry about not fixing that earlier. >> The new game ate my attention span.))

"Cael, where exactly are you going to go?"Said Li, with a bit of a laugh in her voice as she said it. Honestly. They were on the ship, in the middle of the ocean, in the middle of a storm. Where the hell was there for him TO go?
"We'll be moving you to the Captain's quarters for a while, and keeping you away from the other water-elemented members of the crew,"Explained the healer, hoping that would alleviate some of his worry. Then he moved to the Navigator's second statement, "As for your ability to think, that's got a lot to do with the water you drank. As long as we keep you hydrated properly, you should be able to keep a clear head. You'll probably wake up in the mornings a bit disoriented until we get to port, but hopefully, that won't be too long."

Cael nodded. Yes, that all made sense. He could not help but look forward a little to the captain's quarters. Even if this was not the best reason to get to test them out. Knowing Li, he would be forbidden from touching any of her things, but that did not mean he could not look at what was already sitting out and with his memory that would be almost as good.
Still, this was not how he wanted to spend his time and he scowled briefly, looking down at his hands in his lap. He would be denying any harm at all, claiming to be perfectly fine if he was as stubborn or as proud as... ...Cael shook his head slowly, the vague memory of his dream threatening to bring up the events with their original clarity and he did not feel prepared to deal with them just now. He was just as stubborn and proud, anyway, even if he did not want to admit it.

Li filled the cup again, once more holding onto it as she held it for the Navigator. "Come on, drink a bit more. I want you lucid as long as we're in this storm,"she said with a slight tone of command, even though he probably didn't really need it; with the way he'd been inhaling the water, Cael would probably be eager to down a bit more.
Allen blinked. Well, he was about to suggest the same thing before the Captain beat him to it. But, he supposed it didn't really matter as long as they could keep him hydrated one way or another. "Hopefully that won't be too long..."he said softly, letting thoughts of the storm creep back into his mind. He couldn't help but wonder if he was needed on deck for injuries...After they got that treasure, he was going to ask for an assistant.

"Please." Cael took the cup from Li. Hell, if neither of the other two had offered, he would have asked. He could not remember having felt this insatiably thirsty before and probably for good reason. Drinking the water--slower than the first time but still not slowly--, Cael finally grasped that they were still in the middle of the storm. It seemed like more time had passed. It seemed to be dying down somewhat. At least, the boat was not pitching as violently as it had been when he had woken up the first time. Then again, that could just mean that the manipulators on deck had gotten things more under control... "...Shouldn't you be helping everyone else?" Cael asked Allen as if he had read his thoughts. "I'm fine--" there was the stubborn although he argued that at least this was to help others and not for some selfish pride "--really. Well, I will be so long as Li leaves the water with me," he added, trying to subtly hint that the captain could or should go back upstairs as well.

"Well..."Allen did have to think of the rest of the crew as well...And for the moment, Cael's symptoms were under control...In fact, he had seemed to have gained a bit of a lead on the virus...It wasn't quite able to keep up with his healing...Of course, then Cael mentioned the captain leaving the water. "Oh no. She's not going back up,"he said stubbornly, pulling his rank again.
"Excuse me? Are you telling me not to go captain my own ship?"She said, honestly understanding, but a little annoyed that he had tried it. Li was certainly not one to remain below while her crew was at risk. She did not hide, she did not sit quietly, and she did not listen to orders particularly well.
"Yes, I am. Stay here, and keep giving him water. You know as well as I do you aren't in any condition to be on deck, and someone has to watch him. Since I'm needed elsewhere, that's going to be you,"Said the healer flatly. He knew in the end she'd agree, but sounded as though he were preparing himself for a battle if needed.
"What?! Why can't Terran stay?"She said, realizing only after that her words came out as little more than the whining of a child. After all, the Earth Manipulator was needed to help balance the ship with the others...But that didn't mean that as Captain she had to be happy about missing out on the excitement.
Allen just shook his head a little, with a smile, as he recognized the defeated look on her face...Thankfully, the spirited Captain Nox had seemed to have decided that now was not the time for a war of words..."Come on Terran, let's go,"and with that Allen whisked his way back out into the rainy dark.

((sfjgqgsjjjjjjjj. I'm posting something. Someone respond. Please?))
"Yo ho, yo ho..." Tamoir let the tune fade away and scowled up at the cloud-strewn night sky.
"Hey." He twisted around from his seat at the helm where he was taking his shift for the night steering. "Do you know where we're going? I don't recognize the coordinates she gave us." He held his compass to the orange glow of the candle in the lamp beside him and gave it a shake, testing its sensitivity.

Aerion blinked, for the first time in over a minute as the other spoke; He had been staring at the flickering flame in a daze. He rubbed his eyes a little, realizing he had gotten distracted again...He had to stop doing that. Thankful that he had once again returned to reality, he tried to take in what the question had been, "Wait, what?" It came to him seconds later, and he thought about it truthfully for the first time in a while.
"Hmmm.."the dirty-blond haired man thought about it...At first, he had recognized them with the ghost of a memory in his mind, not truly knowing them but almost as though it were something he had heard from a friend of a friend about a vision. it was an odd sensation. "I thought I did, But...Well, she's a client, and she has promised to pay, so who'm I to argue one way or the other?" He finished, deciding that was his chosen course of action.

"I just don't want to waste time when there is no pay," Tamoir returned, glancing over in time to see the other draw back once again from the fire. He shifted the candle a little closer to himself in response, letting out the barest wisp of a sigh.
"I don't think she's leading us on," he conceeded. "I just hope she knows what she's talking about. And I hope our boat is big enough to carry all that treasure with us," he added with a grin, slipping into a more upbeat conversation. "I'm getting hungry just thinking about it all."

The dealer frowned as the flame moved out of sight, but he held his silence about it. "If she is, we'll still make her pay our fees. Its hard to dispute that she's hired us...So treasure or not, she's in our debt...Besides, she seems...the odd type. Hell, true or false, it might be good to have someone like her to call a favor in from,"he said in response.
He took a step to the side, trying to bring the flame back into his line of vision without letting Tamior notice...Looking at it a little longer couldn't hurt, could it? Besides...Its not like that one candle could distract him from anything major...Hopefully.

"You're right about her seeming like a good person to know," Tamoir agreed, altering their course a little to the east. "I think she knows more about things than she's letting on. Maybe we can find out a little more about her on this trip." He turned back to face Aerion, letting his devious grin do the talking in the bobbing orange light. "Might be useful."

"hopefully, this won't turn out to be one of those things we grow to regret..." Aerion really tried his best to avoid such situations, but every once in a while they came back to bite him in the a**. Usually, he could venture some kind of guess as to how a situation would turn out, but this time he had little to go on...Therefore, he could really only hope for the best, and be ready for everything else.
He took two steps to the side, as though he were just doing it out of bordem, finally bringing his beloved glowing flame back into view. His eyes glossed over almost at once.

Tamoir sighed out loud this time. "Stop that. It's unnerving." He moved the candle again. "Besides, don't you have work to be doing? Go check on our passenger or something."
