Hmph. Perhaps I'll be able to take that at the community college.

Community college? Can't go to a university elsewhere?

Hm... isn't AP for high school only?

Wow, what was I thinking when I said that? AP is high school only, but you can take a college-level equivalent course.

*thinks* That might be one of the courses I can get dual credit on in a few years.... taking it at a college would be the same as AP, right?

They are about the same difficulty, yes. But credit-wise, I wouldn't know.

I'd get high school and college credit (if you remember our previous conversation on this) and I could save money by already having some credit when I graduate.

That is, if the college allows you to do that.

Ap classes are asinine, but necessary.

(This topic was dead for awhile, needed to revive it.)
PostPosted: Fri Jun 29, 2007 8:55 am
They're not really necessary, but we [dis]like to consider them so.

Hey, it saves money. (Possibly)

So I'd say it's necessary, since my parents aren't quite loaded.
And, the experience will only serve me well. (Even though at times I'll feel like committing suicide.)

APs sort of helped me. No, scratched that. They saved me.

Why?

My college gives credit for certain AP scores. If I obtain the target scores suggested, I get to pass certain college-wide requirements (Reading and Composition, American Culture, etc.) and free up more space to take the courses I really like.

Like Japanese. Thanks to my AP courses, I can take Japanese every semester. Eight Japanese courses in total: Japanese 1AB, Japanese 10AB, Japanese 100AB, and the fourth-year Japanese courses.

Plus, with all the time you save taking AP's in high school, you can have more time to go out and have casual (yet safe) sex with anyone you wish relax a bit and have fun in college.

Man oh man, I really should research college. I'll be screwed if I keep putting it off. crying
