Exceed looked to her as he tilted his head slightly and soon said, "So, we just rest for the time being?" He heard what Wax said and chuckled a bit before he looked to the man with a small smile. "Just don't go antagonizing the forest or else man." He told Professor Wax with a big smile now, it was a warning, and a bit of a smartass move.

*plink**plink**plink* rain clashed upon his helmet. Rather loud too! As he could not hear a thing that the Captain said. He icy eyes focused on Doc who walked towards him. He rose too his feet as the man approached and hand him their elements book. He took it from the man and quickly flipped it open to Water and gave it a quick read as to not expose it to the elements too long. He memorized the skills and shut it, putting it in a pouch.
His hands outlined a thin layer of white and rose like steam off his hands. His energy surged into the pools of water around the ground. The water flowed from the ground into globs in the palm of his hands. He let his hands drop and the water flowed down to the ground at his feet. Then brought them back up, the water rose up. He felt himself raise as the water rushed under his feet an pushed him up. It put him a foot off the ground. Caleb smiled as he wobbled to keep standing.
Once he gained his balance he retracted the water into globs at his sides. He remembered the next move was to bend the water around like a whip. He went through the fluid motions of striking with a whip. Water snaked out from the glob for a meter and snapped out. Unlike the others, this hit nothing.
The water once again gathered to his side. Next for a ranged offensive move, going with the same fluid motions he used before. This time though the water shot off like a cannon. A high pressure jet of water, it would knock most on their rears. Caleb released his power on the water and it dropped to the ground. He turned towards Alex, his eyes again taking in her beautiful form "I am finished Captain" he yelled out as it was loud in his helmet.

Wax nodded. "I would never antagonize the forest. There's far too much precious life out in the woods. So much to be discovered, so many concoctions to make involving the toxins, and different chemicals of the creatures. So much to learn from them! But nothing just yet. I want to take my time exploring, and find everything I possibly can."
Since they all seemed to be done, it was time to progress. "Doc, that sounds fine, just be careful and I will see you back at the Office. Godspeed."
Her tone smooth, velvety as the angel looked over an armored shoulder.
"Alright, the rest of you. Let's go. We have work to do and no one else will do it for you. You fight for yourselves, you learn for your survival."
With a simple wave of her hand, Alex beckoned them into the woods. Boots grew soft, lithe and quiet as she used levitation to creep over broken branches and debris. The half mast flares peered with determination, looking for their targets while descending into the unknown. All the while both of the humans made all kinds of racket, between heavy armor and then mechanical parts...hunting was not going to be easy.

Exceed nodded to Wax before he heard Alex's orders to follow her deeper into the forest, following her technique with his own windy technique to get over the debris. "So how far are we going in?" He asked her as they went over alot of Debris and deeper into the forest as he kept his wits about him, looking around.

Caleb's icy eyes made out what Alex said via her luscious lips. He fist slammed to his chest "yes my Captain" he said and quickly strapped his weapons into place. He made his way after her climbing the ledges and brush.
As they quietly strolled, the mechanic using his wind element in hopes that it would soften his footfalls, trying to mimic the Captain that effortlessly levitated without using an ounce of energy. The armored Knight followed suit with Doc not far behind. All seemed to be going well, their exploration teamed with a buzz of excitement as this was their first real mission and training on the spot. Every so often, Alex would turn back to look at them all, making sure each had resolve. She smiled, trying not laugh as none of them seemed to be dressed for such but the fit was stifled as the nephilim ducked down behind a fairly large root. Ivory digits gripped the moss, her golden flares darting over the brim to stare at a Leshy. Four of them in fact.
Alex signaled for the company to follow, ushering them to the ground and behind the root so that they could also see the little comical creations.
Leshy, Leaf Rank D Str/Spd 3/9
This little plant person is clad in a winglike leaf cloak and pine cone armor, wielding a twig as a makeshift spear.
Leaf leshys tend to the well-being of trees, whether natural stands or cultivated orchards. In appearance, they have soft, pulpy-looking bodies and wear clothing made of dozens of leaves. They love to play at war. When not laboring on their trees, they wheedle any companions to engage in mock duels with their twig spears, resorting to private weapon drills when they must. In actual battle, they are much more cautious, sticking to cover and harrying their foes with hit-and-run tactics, as they have a strongly developed sense of self-preservation.
Glide, Passive They can swiftly move, as if gliding on air. This does not mean that they can hover.
Seedpods, Rank D They sprout explosive acorns, pine cones, or other seedpods, and can hurl these as ranged attacks. A seedpod has a range increment of 10 feet and detonates on contact to deal damage. This will cause the victim to be blasted back, making them stumble, sometimes lit on fire, even taken off balance completely and knocked to the ground in a daze.

Exceed noticed their captain taking cover behind a large root, moving to beside her, near the smaller area of the root so he could easily see the Leshy(didn't I fight these in the maze and got you made? XD). He smiled softly and was trying to resist making an aww sound by their adorableness. "These things look fast." He whispered to the captain, judging by their floating movements and even lighter appearance. It would most likely bolster a speed factor to catch and take down a single leshy such as them in Exceed's mind. But in his case, it'd be about lure and quick actions if they were to fight these things.

Doc knelt down behind the root, and peered over, the bill of his mask resting on the root. He watched the creatures, and couldn't help himself. He gestured to Exceed. "Watch my back. I'm going to see about taming one of these critters. If this goes wrong, save me some hassle and back me up. But only if I call out. Even if it hurts me, leave me be until I call for you please." He looked at Alex, "I'm going to tame one. As a biochemist, summoning creatures like this is part of my trade. Exceed is going to back me up, so no worries milady. Wish me luck!" Doc Wax moved away before anyone could respond or stop him. As he approached the critters, he took off his hat an mask, and picked up a pine cone while keeping his back to the group. He kept a short distance to the creatures, and he sat down. He offered the pine cone to the Leshys, and bowed his head. His hair was long and black, and his eyes, a deep brown. His face had few scars, and with a skinny face, and a warm smile he looked friendly enough. "Accept my offering kind forest creatures." he said, lightly.

(I'd like to tame one of these critters. I have plans for it, and if memory serves right, a biochemist [or anyone else] can tame critters and creatures alike.)

Yep, you have to apply for it. emotion_awesome
(I always just thought people tamed the ones in Axiom on the spot? Huh. Learn something new everyday. I'll be back shortly. I have to go do something somewhere in this guild... ninja
Caleb fell in behind them as they looked upon the leaf people. Not having any clue what to think about these things. He listened as Doc explained his plan, Caleb was stubborn, his followed doc through close enough to make it to help him if needed.
The whole group knelt down, taking in the sight of the strange forest creatures as each seemed to be doing a particular role of tending. With Exceed on one side, and Doc on the other, Alex leaned back to look over at Caleb, who was on the biochemist's right. Her focus returned to the Leshy until both of the human's spoke up in hushed overtures.
Nodding was her first response, they were indeed fast; however, the second removed the friendly smile. Taming.Tamer. Golden sunrises died a little, losing their rich splendor momentarily before their half-lidded gaze returned, staring at the plague mask.
"We will be here." She only leaned forward out of habit, barely exchanging the retorting whisper. Then he moved, and she watched as Caleb was not far behind. A gentle hand told Exceed to hold, they would need to remain hidden and should watch. It was an advantage, one worth keeping.
Three seemed to clamor around a particular interest that lay on the ground. Their miniature spears sharpened and whittled to a needle point, one even had its hand on a leafy hip, cocking it as weight shifted. A fourth joined in, pointing his claw-like finger at Doc. All went silent, staring at the man as his mask was removed and features were revealed. His hair ruffling in the air, tufting against it unrulingly. Maybe he was sick and required help? A beady eye shifted, locking and exchanging a silent communication with the others, then it stepped forward. In its hold was a small seed, it wanted to trade. The pine cone for it, a gift that could remedy a sickness...then it froze, the three behind him started backing away, turning as they screamed some high pitched gibberish.
"GWAR! DOODOO WE TOO KAKAAA!"
It yelled, not necessarily at Doc but at the metal man behind of him that stood some distance away. They were not found of the humanoids to begin with and one in such attire was frightening! It threw it's spear as a distraction and took off in the opposite direction...all of them would run into the woods, taking refuge in underbrush and vines. Climbing higher and higher, up the giant trees and guardian Ents. They were still yelling, raining down acorns, pine cones, twigs, and other such debris. Some of it upon impact exploded, vicious firecrackers popping at whatever they touched.
Alex covered her mouth, holding back the laughter that threatened to release. The whole scene was humorous to say the least, and it only continued its whimsical charm.
