Cady had done a good job - Ash was proud of her, really! But so far no one was dancing and that was a true shame. The ghostling set about pressing a few buttons, and flicking some switches. She faded the last song, slipped the headphones around her neck. Directing the mic at her throat she flicked a switch to brighten the lights behind her so all eyes would hopefully be directed her way. As she spoke her voice carried over the speakers for all to hear. "Hello, Amityville Acadamy! Cady did a good job playing the first few songs for us, didn't she? But I'm not seeing any of you dancing! Move away from those walls and put down your punch, it's time to groove~
"This next song is for all of you blood suckers out there! Oh, Oh, Oh, Sexy Vampire by the Fright Ranger!
"And if you have a request don't be afraid to come on up and whisper it in my ear! I won't bite~"With that she turned up the music again, the thump of the bass louder than it was before. Did she just turn it up LOUDER in an attempt to get people to start dancing? To help encourage people into getting out there she flicked on the Strobe Lights.

Roch had tried to feed the trash to the door, but all it did was land on the other side, much to his disgust. He snorted and let Claire go in before holding up the empty bags to her. "I'm gonna go find someplace to throw this away at," he said. "You can ah... damn this place is awesome!! Oh, hey, there's Demi, and there's Bandit, and there's Lizzy and a group of guys, so why don't you go find someone to talk to--or scope out the food for us? I'll be right back, I swear!" Unless he got distracted, that was. Where the hell was a trashcan when you needed one? Or at least someplace to stow it discreetly until he could find one? He wandered off, leaving the poor ghoul to find her way through the crowd on her own. Roch... really sucked as a date.

Aurian and her date were running late. It wasn't a good first impression to have made, the Reaper was aware. But she hadn't been entirely sure what all this 'dating' entailed, and the answers from others had been confusing to say the least. Wear a nice dress, do something with her hair (what was wrong with the way she did her hair!?), show up fashionably late, no, be on time.
By the time Aurian thought she was in some semblance of order for this date with a blind person, she was late. It was a mad dash to the arranged meeting place, a very speedy introduction, and then they were both rushing off to prom.
Well, maybe this was the fashionably late part?
Well, they were here and that was what was important. The decorations were amazing - bright and shiny and noisy. Despite the fact that it was apparently modelled on something of Oogie Boogie's, everyone seemed to be having fun.
Aurian was dressed in a slinky black number, with a cobweb lace shawl (free from spiders - she'd done a careful check before leaving). A bright lily corsage was tied around her wrist, a gift from her date. Aurian glanced from it to her partner and smiled - even if Mandy couldn't see it all that well.
"So," Aurian said brightly to her date. "What do you want to do first? Oh-!" A red flush rose on Aurian's face. "Um, do you want me to describe the room to you? Or tell you what there is to do?"
She shifted from foot to foot. Why, she wondered, couldn't there have been some sort of help manual in order to best help her blind date? Aurian wasn't sure if it was rude to offer or if it was something expected from her. She didn't know anything about blind people!

"For you? Always!" She felt herself relaxing as she grinned at Mot; yes, no need to bother about Mac for now... Once Tess is here (Where's that ghoul anyway?), Mac will probably be distracted by her. She's his date, after all... Her smile faltered briefly, and for a moment, she wondered why her hand felt all warm and comfy. Looking down, it dawned on her (finally) that she was holding a boil's hand. Gently, so as to not offend, she withdrew her hand from Mot's, blushing a little.
Ahhhhhhhh-
"B-be right back!" She announced quickly as a distraction, making her way to the DJ booth; she had met Aislin before, during the prom committee meeting. This would hopefully make things easier for her.
"Hey, Aislin~" She leaned over the DJ table, her voice rising to try to be heard above the loud music, "Mind if I make a request for a song?" She reached for a piece of paper she had tucked away in her corset (What? It's a great place to put things!) before holding it out for the ghoul with a smile.

Mandy was always late. It wasn't something intentional, just the inevitable fact that no matter how much she tried by the time she got to anything she would be late. So, it wasn't a suprise that for Prom she arrived edging pass the fashionably late stage, though thankfully her date hadn't arrived long before her either.
Still just because she was always late didn't mean she dawdled so with quick introductions and a confirmation that they where indeed each others dates, and of course Mandy fulfilling her self appointed roll as the boil of the date and providing Aurian with a flower (Something she found abominably hard to choose causing a new found respect for actual boils), in they dashed.
Her first impression of the room was, wow this'll be hard on my eyes, bright lights and dark patches did not go well for night vision, and it appeared her date kindly realized because she offered to describe the room but Mandy was pretty ok with what she could make out.
"I think I'm good, thank you though... And er, I don't suppose you know a lot about what there is to do? There really wasnt a brouche on activities.... From the volume of the music I think they want us to dance but that's about all I can tell...."
Dancing. Hm. Yes.
Mandy was still unsure about that part of Prom but she wasn't going to let anything spoil the night.
Nervously Mandy straightened her bow tie, wondering exactly how to strike up more conversation with her date.
Why had she done this again? She wasn't a social butterfly by any measurement.....

Oh fantastic! Mot was pleased as punch. He let Lizzy run off to do whatever it was she needed to do, slipping his hands into his pockets in the meantime.
Was it just him, or was the music getting.... louder?
Whatever! It must be his imagination~

Aislin watched the dance floor, eyeing the volume for the music and considering weather or not she should turn it up again already when she realized that someone was coming up to her. She recognized the ghoul from the Prom Committee meeting but... her name completely slipped the banshee's mind. When she looked like she wanted to say something Ash leaned forward over the booth.
"Oh! A request?" She took the slip of paper, completely unconcerned about where it had come from and grinned. "Alright, then! I'll put it in after this song, since it's the first request and all."

Arachne took over for a little bit, steering Sepheran towards the food table, and when they were there, she picked up a few things, nibbling slowly to allow her still butterfly-filled tummy a chance to get used to her eating.
'The music is really loud.' she leaned into Seph as she spoke, not wanting to shout and look a fool. She eyed the dance floor, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to dance to such an up-tempo song, she would let him decide.

Had that been a smart a** comment? From his sweet Junko? Yes, he believed it had been. He gave the ghoul the look the comment deserved as he escorted her out onto the dance floor, the corners of his mouth tugging up into a smile. He sported a few familiar faces as they moved through the crowed, but aside from a fond smile in their direction the ghost disregarded them. For now at least, he wanted to spend a little time with Junko. There could be mingling a little later. He glanced down as she asked about his clothing, then back up to that pretty little smile and the soft blush that was barely visible along the curves of her cheeks. "Yes, you did a great job on them and they look fantastic." Suit? who needed a suit? They'd stepped outside the box of tradition and pulled inspiration from heritage. It was a little odd, feeling as though they stood out a little from the crowd, but they both looked amazing, so any extra attention would be received with a flicker of a smug grin. Finding a bit of open floor, the jikininki took the delicate hand from the crock of his elbow and lifted both their hands above Junko's head, spinning her on the spot before pulling her back against him, her back to his front, and curling his arms around her mid-section to give her a soft squeeze. "Musics a little faster then last time," He spoke close to her ear so she could hear, chuckling faintly. By her stillness and the soft look of worry threatening to settle on her pretty face he figured she wasn't used to dancing to faster paced music. Lucky for her, he was. Loosening his grip from the near hug it had been, the boil let his hands slip down to rest high on her hips, pressing against one curve, and then the other, to make her hips give a small sway in time to the beat of the music.

"Thank you!" She grinned back at Aislin, feeling rather excited about hers being the first request, "And keep up the good work! Cady too, if you see her~" She nodded before walking away, back to Mot; she was aware that the music had changed to something fast paced. Techno-ish, even... She wasn't sure she liked it since she had always preferred dancing to slow songs, but she had promised him to a dance!
"I'm back~" She smiled, giving Mot a quick hug from behind before gesturing at the dance floor, blushing as she fidgeted with the end of her braid, "I'm not too good with fast paced songs, so you'll have to lead! Before we go though..." She reached up, brushing his bangs away to the best of her abilities before tilting his hat back just a little, trying to get it to hold his bangs out of his eyes.
"It's dark enough here," She giggled, tilting her head, "There's no need to make it harder for me to look at your eyes~ I brought hair pins too!" She was mighty tempted to use them.

Lizzy was back! Yay~. Mot smiled and turned around once he was released, allowing Lizzy to fidget with his appearance. "I'll lead. I'll even teach you a few things." he said with a wink.
"Hair pins? Should I be worried?" He grinned and laughed. Leave it to Lizzy! She did say she would. He knew where she was going with this. Mot agreed it was pretty dark and flashy in there. No one would notice.
Mot removed his hat, shrugging at his date. "Do what you must, Liz."

"Yeah they were pretty interesting," Jericho mused as he thought back on it. He really didn't put much stock into them however since he figured it was a part of the performance. "So, Levi, do you wanna grab a bite to eat or hang around here for a little longer?" the dragon asked. He then glanced around the room briefly. Lizzy seemed to be getting ready to dance with Mot. And Shun had gone off with Mitsu somewhere. With all the people around, he had trouble spotting where some of his other friends in the room were at the moment. But he figured he'd find them sooner or later.

She shifted her eyes around for a moment and then went back to normal. If the words had any merit, they'd find out soon enough, she figured.
The music was louder now and Levi found herself a bit on edge. In truth, the ghoul loved to dance. She'd attend bonfire celebrations at home only to admire the dancing- but never join in. Sure, she'd dance with other ghouls if they were in a private setting... but when it came to potential opponents, she couldn't have it. Back home, her dancing in front of the boils she rough-housed with meant she'd get teased for being ghouly. This left a stigma; Levi didn't feel comfortable dancing when boils she'd fight were around. Her ear twitched in tune to the beat that radiated into her chest, but she refused with all her might to allow her body to sway. At that moment, she was thankful for Jericho's change in subject.
Hey-! Didn't even think none 'bout food... She hadn't had a bite all day, actually. Between doing her routine chores around the dorm and preparing for prom, the tatzel had missed her chance at a meal mid day. At the mentioning of food, her stomach decided to make itself known again. Feed me~!
Could go with 'a nice rare steak right 'bout now-
She paused to consider her words. Did they have steaks at a prom? Standing, she waited for Jericho, and then looked around for the refreshments. Erm...

With the music louder, Jericho had to raise his voice some, but that wasn't a problem. Being loud was one of his things after all. Most likely if he were to 'voi' right now, he just might be able to be heard by a good portion of the room. Maybe.
At the mention of a rare steak, the dragon wanted food even more now. He wasn't entirely certain what Junko went with in terms of the refreshments, but he hoped she did include a good selection of meats. The girl had mentioned on groanspring that the Prom might turn out to be a meat fest.. which was perfectly fine with him.
"Well only one way to find out!" he grinned, "The food is over this way."
Nodding to her, he started to make his way to where they could grab a bite or two.

"Alright, teacher Mot~ I'm always willing to learn!" She giggled before her face lit up at his words, "Really?" She paused before squeaking out, in an excited manner, as if unable to believe her own ears, "Really? You're the best, Mot!" She threw her arms into the air before grabbing her handbag from the table she had 'claimed', careful not to drop the bouquet she had placed inside as she reached in and pulled out two identical hair clips.
Mot should start thanking his lucky stars that they were blood red.
"To match~" She nodded, tugging him to a chair to get him to sit before playing with his bangs; it's a rare treat to see him without his hat outside of his room! She was delighted that he agreed to do this for her, and it showed on her face as she pushed his bangs to the side, pinning them there. While part of his bangs were still covering his eyes, they were now visible.
"You look great, actually," She mused, still smiling away as she took his hand and placed it back on his head, adjusting it such that it was tilted to the back, the brim of the hat no longer casting a shadow over his face, "Although I can't help noticing that you seem to require more sleep~"
