Hey Pasta Yeah, it was summer when we were there (in Salem). I'm from CA, but my older sister was going to Boston U up until like a week and a half ago, and we all flew back to MA for her orientation two years ago. You East Coast people amaze me with how you survive the humidity. x.x I was miserable from the time change and how hot and sticky it was. *used to dry mountain air* If you can't stand the humidity get out of new england wink Yeah, during some of the summers it gets brutal, but last summer wasnt too bad.. You really can't get used to the humidity, so we just hide inside

But, we do get nice trade winds to help, so you can just head on down to the beach and find a nice palm tree to sit under. Or jump in the ocean when you get too icky. whee

I always wondered if it's really as nice there as all the travel agents and such make it out to be. And I'd gladly love to visit and find out.
Emerald - haha, yeah, that's why I changed my mind about applying to Berklee. I get cranky enough about snow in the winter - hell no was I putting up with it in Boston, along with sticky summers. x.x *pathetic* I still wouldn't mind visiting sometime in the spring or fall, though. The parts of Salem that we went through were really pretty.

Hey Pasta Hawaii, right? I always wondered if it's really as nice there as all the travel agents and such make it out to be. And I'd gladly love to visit and find out. That'd be correct. 3nodding I live on Kauai, or the "Garden Island" as it's usually called. It's my favorite island, but then again, I could be biased since I've only lived here and on the Big Island (Hawaii). Oahu is too crowded and city-like for me, if I wanted that I'd just move back to Berkeley or something. xd And it really is gorgeous, if you like nature and beaches and such. But the cost of living is mad crazy so most people that come out here thinking to settle down leave within six months because they can't handle the expenses. sweatdrop I posted these pics I took a while back, they're mostly of my favorite beach near sunset. Everytime I get frustrated, I look at them and remember why I love it here. http://ayannosuke.deviantart.com/scraps/

Oh, wow. That's gorgeous.
Yeah, I don't think I'd be able to live out there. I'm barely going to be able to afford wherever I end up next year. x.x But I would love to visit. *envy*

You learn to get by with very little but it's worth it I think. I've always had a love for the ocean so it suits me well. And you're welcome to come visit anytime. Hopefully when I'm not loaded down with work and class though. Otherwise I'd never get the time to give you a proper tour. xp

Downtown is pretty and it's nice down at the Willows, and around Salem State isn't bad either, for the most part Salem is a nice city, but they have major gang problems and when you get away from the 'burbs/downtown it can be kind of ghetto. Then again, the city I live in has a much worse reputation then Salem.

Wow, you do look younger. x] You're so cute, though. Welcome back to the UFG. I don't have a big version of this, cause my boyfriend took the picture. But it felt really cool, being his "model."

I always like those style of hats. I lost my hat. I still miss it. It was a nice, soft, black one.
