Kaleb had no choice but to wait, unless he wanted to try something drastic, like trying to get up just so the pain would make him pass out. He was certainly weak enough at that point, and if he weren't conscious it would make it easier for Riley to get him home. The mage wouldn't even consider that an alternative though because of how worried his friends would be.
So it was back to distractions again.
"Riley... C-can you come here?"

"Yer not gonna lick me again are ya?" He leaned back over so Kaleb could do whatever he wanted. "Cause ... that made ya laugh last time and it hurt ya and that's not good" The last thing he wanted was for Kaleb to hurt more.

Demyx shifted on his feet a moment. Must be strong..must..be...strong... A second in command did not break down....
And about two seconds later the youth was latched to the gambler, struggling not to burst into tears.
"K-kaleb! The t-thing..it c-changed him, l-like me... And we're trying to get him to his friend's house, b-but I dunno w-where it is so I c-can't teleport him...do you know another way?"
The words were rushed, the sitarist truely worried about his friend.

"No, I-I just wanted to see if you would would do it." Kaleb smiled weakly at his partner for a second, but then his smile fell. "I-I don't know if I'll be able to go back to work f-for a-a day or two..." It had only just occurred to him, but the thought of missing work and displeasing his boss further made him really nervous.

"Kaleb .... ohh!" The little blond kid that had been with Demyx a few times. He was a darling little thing. "So he's a feather brain too." Shaking his head he wrapped his arms around Demyx for a moment to try to calm the other Nobody down.
"I am not sure i know another way that is safe. We could try but there is no guarantee that you would land where you wanted. I would think, given the situation at hand, having someone already there that you can move to would be easier"

Riley's words didn't help Kaleb's worry much, he was probably already due for a lecture back at the office because of the soaking Rufus had received on their way out, and not attending work would probably just add to his employer's irritation. Besides, there were more important reasons to go to work.
"Wh-what if someone gets hurt, a-and I can't heal them?" He asked, sounding more anxious by the minute.

"We've got magic that can do it, just not as fast or as good." And depending on what level of the magic it could feel really weird for a few minuets too.
"I'm sorry darling." he leaned down and licked Demyx' cheek. "Is there anything else i can help with?" He had helped Demyx well enough the first time but he figured the other would rather do it himself now that he was trying to be the second in command and all.

Ears flat, Demyx stared at the floor even as Luxord licked his cheek.
"I feel so bad....I wish I could help him more...."

Kaleb settled down a bit, but he still didn't look too happy. "Wh-what if someone gets hurt real bad? What if..." He trailed off, not wanting to think such unpleasant thoughts, or have to speak them out loud. Distractions could help him cope with the pain, but the most effective ones certainly weren't negative like that.

"No one's gonna get hurt. Yer just gonna get some rest and stop hurtin yerself and then everythin can go back ta normal .... with a few feathers everywhere." It was going to be, interesting, sleeping with Kaleb and wings that big plus the extra tail.
"If you want my help i will give it but if you think you can handle it yourself then you should get back to your friend. You hurt for days. I'm sure he's going to too."

The mention of how long he had hurt seemed to be just what Demyx needed to get him back into action.
"I...I can handle it."
Afterall, he was supposed to be helping to lead the whole Organization. Getting his friend somewhere more comfortable should be easy compared to that. The sitarist gave Luxord a goodbye hug, before quickly disappearing through a portal back to where Kaleb and Riley waited.
"He...he can't do it safely..."
Sighing, Demyx got back to his knees beside the newly angelic mage.

Kaleb relaxed, although he hadn't forgotten the pain, he had forgotten that his own hurts were just as important to take care of as everyone else's. Riley's words helped put things back into perspective.
When Demyx returned, he offered a small smile. "Th-thanks for trying, I appreciate it..." He knew Riley wouldn't like their remaining option, but it really was the only way.

His nose scrunched when Demyx came back and said that Luxord couldn't help. That hadn't been the answer he wanted to hear. "So that mean ..... i've gotta go ta my place" That meant getting all the way back over there without his car since that was at the office.
"s**t ...." He drug himself up off the floor before he could sit there and think about it. "It'll take me at least ten minuets ta run there .... maybe fifteen."

Of course most of the places he knew consisted of ice cream or candy, but it was better than nothing right?
