[Nathan A. Wilson]
Nathan laughed melodiously, appreciating the familiar jibes at his sap. "Of course it's lame. Lame's my middle name." Pulling away from Chance for just a moment, he stuck his tongue out playfully, making a light, mocking "nyah-nyah" noise, before resuming his comfortable cling to the black mage.
He was a bit too preoccupied with his childishness to notice his companion's short space-out moment. Instead, he happily tilted his head into the subsequent teasing pats, half-giggling.
"Plague? Naw, you're not that much trouble..." Pausing, the white mage contemplated this. "Then again, you could go from 'not much trouble' to 'annoying virus' pretty quick. Not sure I want to subject that lot to such treatment..." Again, he paused. "Then again... Certain egotistical, though very charming, bass players need to be taught a lesson somehow..." Still quite cheerfully thinking on the matter, he joyfully tugged his not-quite-lover along toward the hotel.

[Alan K. Altair]
Where to go... Alan's thoughts were at first centered on this all-important subject, but quickly wandered aimlessly through a wide variety of ideas, from shattered glass to the color pink to his plans for the performance that night. Speaking of performance...
"Aha. The hotel, duh..." Swinging his legs over the door of his S2000, he flung himself gracefully into his seat and drove off to the hotel. The engine was barely off when the car flew open and the Kaltec leapt out, slamming it behind him and sprinting up the Roosevelt's stairs to work off the nervous energy now flooding him.
Slipping through the door quietly, he stalked past his brother and Fortayu with only a glance, his flawless teeth gripping his pale lip nervously. He hurried by and joined Helena on the balcony.
"Hey there," he said softly as he shut the door behind him, leaning against the railing. "How're you feeling?"

Helena leaned over the railings of the balcony. The metal was hot to her arms after it had baked in the sun for the most of the day. She pushed her body up with her hands, and flung her legs over the railing, letting her feet dangle over the busy streets of Seattle. The sound of the balcony doors caught wind in her ears until she heard a voice. The passing cars where no long heard, the wondering people where no long there. All there was, was her and someone else, who had happened to be Alan. Just from the softness of his voice could she tell it was him without look.
"Hey," her head stayed down, making it look like she was watching the traffic, but her eyes wandered over to the side, watching at Alan leaned against the railing, "Ya I'm fine. Just a little broken down from the day, that's all. Nothing big."

"I will do the best I can to be as obnoxious as necessary. Or if you prefer I can be extremely posessive." Chance smiled pleasantly, but there was a fierceness to it as he pulled the smaller male close against his side. The message was clear. Mine.
He kept his arm around Nathan as they walked, loosening but not fully releasing his grip. After a moment they were in sight of the hotel, having walked a fair distance already.
"So. Does this mean I get special best-friend status, or do I have to start over working my way up to your favorite person?" He smirked, considering how obvious it was. He wondered vaguely if Nathan had mentioned him to his bandmates, and what sort of a surprise it would be for them. Chance sort of liked not having people know him, just because they kept their distance and he always seemed to impress them more, though that was hardly a main reason. Right now, he just wondered how the band would react to him knowing Nathan personally from long ago, not just being another crazed fan.

"Mm. I think possessive works very well for both of us," the Scot said with a playful smile, pressing happily against the other male as he was pulled to his side demandingly. Yum.
"Of course you get special best-friend status, silly. It's not like I've found a replacement for you. Nyx and Alan are great, and Helena's nice, but nobody's gotten to your spot." Grinning, he kissed his companion's cheek. "No worries, dear. You're still my number one." He paused, a brief frown flicking across his face as he wondered if there was doubt about his status with Chance. But it was gone quickly, and he leaned his head on the other's shoulder with a content sigh.
"Mm, are we already here?" he asked quietly as they reached the hotel. "Let's take the stairs, elevators suck." Nathan's scantily-clad feet plodded indelicately through the doors and he tugged Chance upward through the staircases.

"Mm. We should start getting ready for the gig. Get our outfits, bring our stuff over there..." Alan frowned slightly. "Though I think all of us need a little break. Maybe we ought to cancel." His crimson eyes widened slightly. "No, what in hell's name am I saying?? That would be ridiculous. As long as Nyx is fine I think we can go on with the show."
He turned his gaze downward, to the trickling traffic below. It was like a wide, frozen river of wildly varied colors, topped with white and blue where the buses rose above the rest. He watched them slowly inch by over the flooded streets and couldn't hold in a chuckle. This was why they were so close to the club...

Fortayu nodded and stayed on the couch where he was, wondering what the hell to do next. Shortly after, two of the other band members, Nyx's brother and the girl, Helena, went out on the balcony. He watched Helena walk by, soon joined by the just-returned bass player.
"So... I can stay, I guess. I doubt I'll be very good company though..." His gaze wandered around the room, and he found himself looking outside, not really focusing on anything. Part of him wanted to leave because he didn't know or really care for these people, and another part wanted to stay and make sure they were all okay. So, having nothing better to do, he stayed.

"Well," Chance said as he slowed on the stairs. "this is unfair. I haven't climbed this many stairs in ages, and my poor boots... Nathan, you're very cruel to me." Shaking his head in feigned dismay, he pulled his long coat off to reveal his crisp white shirt, sleeves pushed up near his elbows to free his hands. Slinging the jacket over one arm, he bounded lightly up the steps behind his companion, obviously not having as much trouble as he complained of.
"I'm glad you haven't replaced me. I would have been so heartbroken." His words were mildly sarcastic, mostly playful, and none of his actual fear showed in his speech. In reality, he had been worried, though not overly. Nathan had never gotten along well with people, like Chance. Or maybe it was that people never got along with Nathan. The white mage was always certainly willing to try and be friends if you were nice enough... Chance had found that out, and it had turned out well for them. Mostly.
"So. Anything really interesting happen, or is the band pretty much all there is to your life without me?" Chance started talking, not sure how to break the silence. He felt awkward, despite it being his friend from years ago. He still hadn't settled back to their old rythm quite yet, it had simply not been a part of his life for too long. He wondered idly when he would get over it, when he glanced around.
"Are we there yet?"

"Aww, is little Chancey tired from the big, mean stairs?" Nathan teased with a giggle. "I'm sorry. I should have considered the health of your boots." Prodding the tip of the black mage's nose, he laughed and admired the way his shirt fit him so perfectly. It took him a moment to recover and turn to catch up.
"Oh, I'm sure, darling. You'd never be able to survive without the assurance of your spot by my side..." He winked one glittering eye and hooked an arm around his companion's waist, pressing their hips together as they meandered up the stairs.
"The band is pretty much it. Nyx and Alan are the only friends I had here in America, and we just kinda... decided on it. Then we picked up Helena, so Nyx wouldn't be pushing himself so hard." Frowning slightly, he pulled Chance tighter against him and leaned his head on the taller boy's shoulder. "Mm. I'm worried about him..."
He blinked repeatedly, straightening up. "Actually, yeah." Here they were, third floor, standing right in front of the room, and he hadn't noticed. He tugged at the door and it opened easily, still unlocked.
"Hey-yo," he sang lightly as he entered, tugging Chance behind him. He waved at the two on the couch before realizing one of them was Fortayu Athan, from the club. "Oh! I didn't expect... um. Sorry." Nervous, he bowed slightly, awed by the presence of such a high social figure in their humble hotel room.

[Nyx D. Altair]
"That's okay... I just... would really like it if you were here," Nyx mumbled shyly, biting his lip. "D'you want anything? Food, drink...?"
He watched Alan slip by, frowning at his expression. "Hi, Alan..." he stressed, half-glaring at his brother, but he was long gone. Sighing, he turned back to Fortayu and bit his lip.
"So, um..."
But before he could really get anywhere, Nathan came in with a stranger and started stumbling over himself on sight of Fortayu. "Relax, Princess," he instructed the white mage quietly. "Seriously."

"There's no reason to stop the show," Helena's voice was nothing much of a mere whisper. For some reason her voice could not make any more then a mouses tone when she talked. Her mind wondered for a bit before she decided to turn around and lean back on the railing, letting her back rest against the cold metal, and her head hang over the river of cars.
"What's the dress code for this gig?" Her eyes caught sight over everyone in the room on the other side of the glass. From Helena's perspective, they looked like nothing had happened today, everything was just fine and that everyone had one of the best days of their life. There was still that cloud of disturbance from the days hazard, but it seemed as though it too was stuck on the other side of the glass, watching as everyone beyond its reach was enjoying their time. She diverted her eyes from the other side of the glass.

Chance raised an eyebrow.
"Indeed. Calm. It's only a figure of high social standing, after all. Not that scary, certainly. I've seen some of your fans, and frankly that's more frightening." Patting Nathan on the head, he proceeded to pull on his coat in one fluid movement, feeling strange without it.
"So. Are you going to introduce the strange man you brought to everyone?"

The small orange kitten under the couch was getting very distressed.
There were people. As if it wasn't bad enough that he had to deal with the two directly above him, first one then another set of feet flashed by, and he began to tremble. Unsure of what to do now that he was sure to get caught, he was ready to dart out and find a new hiding place when the door opened again and yet more people entered.
Letting out a meow that was barely audible to himself, he curled up, terrified of being found. It had seemed like fun in theory... but sadly in his 'battle plans' there had only been one person, and he hadn't been so afraid of everything. He looked around frantically for a way out, noting that everyone was still standing there and there was absolutely no way he could move without being noticed. Zip began to feel a tad faint.

"No, I'm okay..." Fortayu also watched Alan pass them by, curious as to the man's mood. Nathan walked in, followed closely by another man he hadn't seen before. A fan, he would assume. He resisted the urge to laugh at the blond for tripping over himself when he realized who was sitting on the couch.
"It's alright, I won't bite. Honest." He flashed the new arrivals a sparkling grin, though really he was wondering what more he could offer them. As far as he knew, there was no pressing reason for him to remain other than the Kaltec that wanted him to. That was reason enough, of course, but it left Fortayu curious as to what he could do there.
