For such a large, muscled hunchbacked creature, Christof shuffled closer to the plague doctor with the same timid shyness he had had years ago when they had just begun school and he had been smaller and younger, his face wrought with mixed emotions. His stitched mouth twisted like a nervous centipede, breathing coming quicker as he glanced from face to face of Riley's friends that had all gathered to welcome her back. He had known, he had been told that she was alive... but seeing her, honest and true, was still surreal. He wondered where Barth had gotten off to, what he had to say about it. He felt ashamed to think about Barth at that moment.

Dear Jack, what was he even doing here.
Chryses Aurelius was rather late to prom, not that he was particularly happy about it. He was wearing his best suit, though the mask wasn't the most brilliant and effortful, just a white mask over his nose and eyes. He was here to meet a blind date. Some brilliant fellow student had signed him up, and here he was, about to meet some ghoul he didn't even know.
At least he had picked her up a corsage. He might be an a**, but he could make small movements in a vaguely gentlemanly direction.
He had been given a description-purple hair, ribbons-and he spotted a Reaper ghoul that fit that fairly well, standing by the back wall...with...
Chryses frowned. That had to be one of those Horsemen (Horsewoman, in this particular case). He had yet to encounter one, and wasn't sure what to make of her. Still, a date was a date, so rather grudgingly, he walked over.
"Mitzi Alder?" He inquired, giving a polite nod to the Horsewoman.Seussi Ohaaaiiiii look I'm RPing with you!

His head bowed down briefly to touch Lark's shoulder before he tilted his head up to look over at Amarus with a little bit of a blink and a blush. He was calming down now, "Naw! I was just kinda setting her a bit forward so you two can meet and stuff," Kettil was mostly telling the truth and now that he was calmer he was able to let go of Lark's waist as she mentioned getting drinks.
"Eh! We should all at least stand by the tables and stuff and give people room to dance, c'mon Amarus chat with us a while," He grinned over at her happily, "it ain't like we bite or nothin." To be honest it seemed like Amarus could use the company.
Even as he started to wander with Lark toward the punch he reached out toward Amarus and made grabby hands at her in a playful fashion, "Join us~," he cooed at her lightly.

While it was obvious Shehk did not want to be let go, Riley had business to attend to, and she was sure the ghoul would understand. So with one gentle squeeze, she let Shehk out of her arm, and released her hold on Jericho so she could move forward. She took several steps to stand directly in front of Christof; cutting an imposing figure even in a ballgown. She looked down at the hunchback, clearly assessing him from head to toe, before her arms swept out in front of her.
Come, she said. It wasn't as sweet as her other greetings were; there were certain assumptions that still came with being an igor. She assumed he did not want friendly banter. He wanted his Mistress back.
And so he would have her.

Jericho wasn't really sure what to do, so he just kept looking towards the others while they decided this or that.
"We're staying here then?" he asked Riley. Apparently it was so as she let go of him to approach Christof. Grimacing, he stood by, watching carefully.

Siddie leaned over to watch the videos, incidentally angling her cleavage in interesting ways; she giggled at the images. "Oh, that's just adorable," she cooed. "Look t them being all silly instead of serious!" The little masks landed right in her top. They might or might not have been aimed. Siddie shrieked and jumped.

Shehk willingly relented to Riley releasing her, instead falling into Jericho's side with a sort of awkward reliance on him in this situation. It was...strange...to handle. She knew it would be no better for him, yet somehow she felt like he was better prepared for it than she was.
Mostly, Shehk just wanted to sort of cling to Riley and be like 'Can we just go back to your room and spoon for a while?' That actually wasn't an exaggeration. Just everybody present turning into a giant cuddle pile would have been the greatest thing in her world right then.
She knew that wasn't happening, though.
"I guess so." she replied to Jericho.Riley's Herd of adoring fangho-..boil...I...all of then

Christof tensed as he was looked over, unsure of what to make of her expression, nor her terse command. Instantly, he straightened (as much as he was able), his expression hardening, his brows furrowing as he gave a stiff brow. Was she keeping up appearances for some reason? Yes, Mistress... He ventured mentally, his inner voice gentler than his composure and expression conveyed. We... we have missed you, Mistress. Terribly. You... you look beautiful.

West was a fork. And he was in a garbage disposal. And it was good. He reigned in his flailing at Levi's announcement, and it completely stopped when he saw what she was doing. That was... certainly something. He kind of wanted to try it himself, but thankfully for everyone in his immediate vicinity, the song changed once again. He began to jive. He began to jive very slowly.

Riley settled her arm over Christof's hump, and listened to his thoughts very carefully. Thank you. I appreciate that, very much. It's very good to see you.
But she looked up at Jericho, who was closest at the moment, one brow lifting as if to ask, without asking; Does he know?

Jericho looked to Shehk, standing back a little awkwardly in a way since he wasn't too sure what else to do in this situation. However, he caught Riley's gaze. She might not have her memories, but he was still able to read her pretty well. he pinged her, Letting out a sigh, he looked to Shehk once more. "Do we have any brains at the refreshment table?"

The more awkwardly he stood, the more she wanted to lean into him, as though it brought her some sort of comfort.
"I don't know, that was Junko's thing. Y'know how I don't...actually..." she did a hand-to-mouth gesture to emphasize the fact that Shehk and food were very particular with one another as Jericho already knew, but...
"I know I saw some pretty good looking cupcakes over there. Maybe the Icky Stix one had a redux." She knew Riley liked sugar. A lot. It might have been a very dangerous thing to suggest, but never the less. "I'd be surprised if there wasn't though. I know some students still eat them."
Not Shehk. Not straight up, anyways.

The answer was sufficient enough to make her eyes turn to Malodore, and her eyes pleaded with it for a moment. Jericho's warning was very believable - Christof did not feel, or sound, like he was going to handle this very well.
Did you tell him? The soft question was directly privately to Malodore, as she continued to hold Christof in silence.

He knew that you lived, but not the state of your memory. That last, I felt was not appropriate for me to spread unless needed. Private, unless you chose otherwise, it said, silently. While part of it wanted to urge her down the pathways of her old self... it also knew that she needed to make her own choices. It had knowledge that she lacked.
But she had to make her own decisions about who she was going to be from now on. It merely projected to her a reassurance, that it was present and not going anywhere. It would be her anchor, not her judge.

So, the igor did not know. She looked down at Christof, worry etching through her features for a moment, before it faded away and she was left as blank as ever.
Christof. You are undead. Just as others who have died and risen from the grave are. While you are made from parts of others, you recognize that the person who emerges afterward, be they undead, are still ..
Here she paused. What she said went against everything she actually believed. Undead were lesser beings. It was not hard to lie, however. Especially when there was an undead directly behind her that she considered the greatest of beings.
So she stopped trying to soften the blow, and ripped it off like a band-aid.
I have suffered a loss of memory. I hope that does not discomfort you too much. We will work to retrieve it, but I feel you should know.
That I don't know who you are, her blank eyes wordlessly finished.
