Dain kissed her and slipped his arm around her shoulders as Martha walked up to them. "Here are your burgers kids. Just pay Jimmy on your way out and let Cala know I said hi."

Dain grabbed the bag and kept his arm around Lilly as he walked over to the cash register.

After they paid Lilly just followed him in a daze. She leaned against him for support and bit her lip. It was becoming quite the habit around him.

Dain held open the passenger door for her and and climbed in on the drivers side.

Lilly shut the door and turned to him. "Dain...I know it's stupid and I've only just now started to get to know you but...right now you mean more to me than I can even describe."

Dain turned to her and smiled. "I'm pretty sure you're the best thing that has ever happened to me." He leaned over and gave her a tender kiss.

Dain laughed. "We are so cliche." He started the car and left the diner. The flower shop was just down the street so they got there in barely a minute.

Lilly kissed him. "Lets go." She got out of the car and carried the bag of burgers into the shop.
Cala looked up from her work and smiled as she saw the two walk in. "Well bless my boots, how are y'all doing this afternoon?"

Cala finished up the tulips she was arranging and came around the counter to hug Dain and kiss him on each cheek. She hugged Lilly as she set the bag down on the counter.
"Hi Gran."
Cala laughed. "Thankyou darlings."
