Alex sat there quietly, not knowing what to say. After a minute, it was starting to get akward, and he was desperately struggling to find something to say next.
Why the ******** did I bring this up, anyway?
"So it was unrequited. How did you...how did you know you were really in love, and not...just infatuated, or obsessed? Or both?"

She sat back down on the ground again,waiting eagerly for Alex' answer.

"It's just..." Alex replied, feeling somehow less akward than it should, "the last person I said 'I love you' to...well, that felt so different to how I feel about you. That came gradually, and over time. But this...hell, before this, we didn't even know each other. And now...the way I felt about her doesn't even scratch the surface of how I feel about you. This is so much...so much deeper. So does that mean there's some emotion that's deeper than love?" Upon finishing, he sighed for what must have been the millionth time today, waiting in anticipation for whatever Desina was to say next.

Desina paused for a few moments to let Alex' words sink in."Never knew you were that poetic,Alex.....but that,uh...'Analogy' might just be true.Aurum potestest est"She replied to his words......UGH!!!What the hell??I'm seriously gone beyond patience now,these riddles are killing me,why can't we just find out the meaning of this place without speaking Latin and being poetic?Desina thought to herself,on the brink of becoming mentally unstable.

Alex noticed Desina becoming tense. She was beginning to hyperventilate. Alex then noticed that so, too, was he.
How much longer will we have to spend in this horrible place? Another hour? A day? A month? A year? Fifty? The rest of eternity?"
He then nodded absentmindedly in answer to Desina's question.
"Wonder how the others are going." he said. "Have they found out what's happened yet?"

"I don't know,they probably think we've gone home"Desina sighed.She checked her pulse,to find it beating quite fast.This was quite worrying for her,as she had never had a pulse..ever."Let me check something"Desina muttered,running off in a random direction to see if this place ever ended.

Desina ran flat out for five minutes.This may not seem like a lot,but when you're running as fast as you can,it's pretty tiring.She stopped to catch her breath,and turned around.There was no sign of Alex."Can you hear me,Alex?"She shouted.If he could,the sound could obviously carry much farther here than on the Earth.

Alex, abnormally hungry, groggily made his way over to the kitchen bench, where he decided to fix himself some dinner. It was around the point that he entered the kitchen that he remembered that he didn't really have much to eat; tragic recent events had totally occupied his mind of late. But in the end it didn't really matter. At the moment, anything would do.
He opened the fridge door, and upon inspection noticed that he still had some lamb left over from whenever it was that he had last had a proper meal. Also present was a decent number of vegetables that would probably go stale if he didn't have them today.
So, after a bit of aimless standing around, Alex turned on the radio to Muse's Apocalypse Please, which just happened to be one of his favourite songs, took out the sharp kitchen knife from the drawer, and began the long and tedious process of chopping the vegetables.
As he prepared the food, Alex noticed that he was at current feeling far better than he had previously, and wondered why that was; not only the sudden high in his emotions, but also why exactly he had felt bad in the first place.
Then he noticed a sharp pain in his left foot. In his deep thought he had dropped the knife, blade first, onto the ********!" he screamed in agony.
Alex bent down to realise the cut in his foot was pretty bad, and blood was beginning to flow ceaselessly.
And then so too did his tears.
What's happened? he asked himself. I was in that...place with Desina. How did I get out of there and back home.Was that a dream? Is this a dream? The acute pain in his foot pretty much ruled out the latter. But that hadn't felt like a dream. And, he reflected in a manner that was almost nostalgic, it was the best damn dream I've ever had.

"Alex?"Desina shouted again,hands cupped around her mouth.She concluded that,even though this place had nothing to stop her voice from traveling,he couldn't hear her.She made her way back to Alex,running flat out again.She came to the place where they had entered the new area,but couldn't find any trace of Alex.What?I was sure this was the place,She thought,her brow creased.Desina was certain this was the place,but she could have easily gotten lost,there was no landmarks,after all.She ran in all different directions,searching for Alex."Alex...ALEX!"She kept on shouting as she ran.
It was no use,he was gone.

The radio changed to the news, which reported a terrorist attack in Eldritch.
So, thought Alex, it would seem that no, or little, time has passed since I was with Desina, surrounded by the light.
That depressed him. The time he had spent in this strange world had been indeterminable, and he had hoped that he had spent something like eternity with just Desina and no-one else. Life would have been so much simpler that way, and altogether better.
That gave Alex a thought. He searched around the house for his phone, found it, and dialed Desina's number.
And then he waited.

The 'Legend of Zelda' theme tune suddenly filled the air of Limbo.Desina started.She stood stunned for a few moments,wondering why the video game song was playing here,in Limbo.The sound seemed to be so near as well,like it was coming from her.....Desina glanced down at her pants.It was her phone.Sighing and laughing at the same time,she fished the phone out of her pocket and answered."Hello?"
