Auren nodded to Damir, slipping out behind her as her shadow. He maintained a respectful distance and also took the time to make sure his cloak was in order, covering him completely shoulder-to-toe.
It wasn't out of cold, it was to hide his armor and wings. He hoped that most observers would see only a large demon of some kind with a massive sword and not much else.
He knew for a fact it was impossible to mask his aura. He had given that up decades ago.
The Huscarl watched the trio play, alert for any threats that might be coming.

 She created an ice arrow and stuck a fair sized red ball on the tip of it. loading the arrow onto her bow she aimed high and pulled back hard, "Ready boys?" Vadim sat at her side watching the sky and patiently awaiting the release, while the mutt was chasing his tail and barking like an idiot. She released the string, and Vadim took off at a rapid pace. Despite the mutt's few feet lead, Vadim quickly passed him and retrieved the ball before the dog. they came back to her and Vadim dropped the ball at her feet. she pulled out another red ball and placed it on the end of an arrow, then stabbed the one on the ground, "Alright Vadim, Here's yours." she pulled back and launched it high in the sky. the bear took off after it and then she grabbed the other one. she looked over at the dog who had his ears perked up and had his tongue hanging out of his head. she laughed and loaded the arrow, and released it, but not as far as Vadim's. she placed the bow on her back with the arrow holster and sculpted two chairs, then sat down and waited.

Auren raised an eyebrow at the game, remaining standing. "Don't worry about me, Your Highness." he said while standing behind her. "Though I would like to remind you that we need to keep up certain appointments."

"Yes," she grumbled, "And i shall tell you that we have all day." She looked over her shoulder at him, "He doesn't go home till night anyways. the only time to see him is around midnight." Vadim returned and she shot his ball again, then the mutts shortly after. "So if that's what you were interested on doing, then i advise you find something to pass your time." she looked back at him again, "Do you wear your armor constantly... It's not casual wear you know... You're supposed to wear it when you go to war."

"If that's the case, nevermind then." Auren said. He would wait very patiently. It was exactly like Guard Duty to be honest.
"My armor is my second skin so I don't even notice it all." Auren said simply. He really doubted that she knew that he meant it literally. It was another such 'gift' that his transformation had caused.

Vadim and the mutt returned and she vanished the ball, "I'm going back home..." she slammed her bow through the middle of the chair and watched it crumble to the ground, then got up on Vadim and rode him home.
Once she got Vadim back in his pen she summoned more ice puppets to groom and care for her animals while she went inside and up to her room to begin reading, again...

Once Oriana's door shut the front door opened and in came a young girl, looking roughly in her teens, and very under dressed for the weather. She sprinted past Auren in the hallway and entered the kitchen.
"Daddy!!! you have to come home soon! Mommy and I miss you!" she squealed as she leaped into her father's arms, and kissed his cheek.
"Ah, well you're early... Where's your mother?" he smiled while filling out paperwork to a glass of tea.
She sat in a chair and sighed, "Ah, she's being slow as usual. She always overdresses... Like Oriana. I don't get them." she peered over at what he was working on then looked to the kitchen door and back at her father, "So was that Kaiser... I thought she said he had cat ears?" she whispered.
Damir frowned and sat back in his chair, "Kaiser... uh... passed away i guess, and the man you saw in the hall was Auren. He decided to take Kaiser's place. Kind of... I don't know if he's her suitor, but he's her bodyguard." he grumbled scratching his chin and looking back down at his paperwork.
She looked back at the door and sighed, "I was looking foward to pulling on his ears... I've never seen anyone with cat ears before..." she sat in her chair frowning.
Damir just began working on his paperwork when Hali jumped up and shouted, "So what's Oriana up to!?!"
Damir leaped from being startled and took a few quick breaths, before returning his heart rate to a normal pace, "She's upstairs reading... why don't you go talk to her."
"Okay!" she chimed as she skipped out of the kitchen to go up to Oriana's room.

Kalas jumped down into the ally way opposite of the street and looked up at Guen. "If you say so Guen. Now that you have dragged yourself into this unlikable situation, what do you suggest we do. "

A somewhat disgusted yet scared feeling fell upon the villagers as they came outside from their houses after the loud sounds of magic dissipated after a while. The menacing look of a demon they have never come in contact before being pulled away by the mayors daughter had them feel uneasy.
Kalas didnt care. She was well not trusting many others. While in some respects she wanted to trust Guen because of the kindness that she had received from her but, was not willing to go that far. At least not yet.
Guen's scent was masked by the an invisible scent that not many could smell. She smelt of Sinis. Not only that. She felt his presence, it was hard to tell where, but she knew he was around, and he inevitably knew that she was here. "This might be bad." she thought to herself. A complex situation and Guen could find herself in the middle of it.
"Guen. Sinis is here. If we both come into contact with each other. I want you to run. If it is in the city, I want you to get as many people away from us as you possibly can.
They continued into the town square.

"The problem is that Oriana doesn't know what she wants in a man. Hali... is perhaps too fickle for the time being." Auren mused. "The real question is how does a father help his children find their ideal partner?"
He shrugged and leaned against the wall easily. "Then again, the hell do I know? Far as I know, fatherhood is out of the question for me."

He set his papers down and looked over at Auren, "Of course, I'm sure you've seen your share of events; considering the work you do."

"My share has been... Very long." Auren said almost tiredly. "I've been around for longer then most people have been around, Damir. Seen and done things that many people would never thought possible. Of course, I'm sure you haven't seen something like the Stars of Latera, which is a shame."
"The Stars of Latera... I haven't seen them in hundreds of years." he said almost wondrously. "It was like looking up into the sky, seeing all of those stars then looking down at all of the twinkling gems lit by moonlight. The scarlets, greens and blues..." Auren seemed lost in his reminiscing. "They were... It's... Alkirae Selantha Haalos. The Goddess's Beauty."
Auren shook his head slowly. "I can show you why I have lived that long, if you want but it is nothing, nothing like what I just described."
