Lord Burn Yeah, Gears I picked up used, and Karen Traviss did do a good ob salvaging the plot after the debacle that was 2's script. Even made the Sires make sense...though that was in the books and ignored in 3.
Otherwise, I got Halo 4, but that was because Spartan Ops. Spartan Ops is great and I really hope there is a Season 2 before 5 comes out. The campaign...it was okay, but checkpoints vs, Spartan Ops' respawning and the lack of getting experience has made me less than thrilled with playing it again.
I've also read the books for Halo, (Karen Traviss again, I like her's much more than Greg Bear's, though the other, 4?, people that worked on the Halo novels meet varying success,) and with both the Halo ones and the Gears ones, it's not the finest fare, but it adds a lot to the games and are enjoyable overall.
Tomb Raider went more in a shooty direction, but I think that's because it's trying to be Uncharted. Which is better than trying to be Assassin's Creed, which is the direction I thought they were going to go. Enjoyable overall and a unique experience for someone who doesn't own a PS3.
But yeah, I hear you with wanting more unique experiences. Seems too many of the AAA titles are going for the same, well selling feel.
Kinda why I want to see Pacific Rim. Its at least something NEW.
I also want to tramp myself up, but that's another matter.
Last of Us does look good. Hopefully it'll be cheap for download when the PS4 comes out. Naughty Dog is one of the developers I've missed in my jump from the PS2 to the 360. Them, Insomniac, (shame Fuze sucks from what I could play of the demo,) and Sucker Punch.
How should we bump it up? Well, if I had to say, I was more interested in Resident Evil 4/5 approach with weapon upgrades since it gave me some idea of RPG element to it (although to a vary degrees of said RPG, since this game is still more toward to 3rd Person Shooter). The reason why I didn't play games like Gears and Halo is that... well, you just need to know the location and objective your enemies, shoot, proceed. Also, conserves your ammo as well. I have to say that Tomb Raider DID went into more shooty/stealth approach as well but for it trying to be Uncharted is questionable to be honest. I think Uncharted was trying to be Tomb Raider and became more successful because if you compared the two, Tomb Raider was more series that changes since the first one but lacks more of any feeling and work into it. Uncharted looks back at it and say: "Hmm... We should be more story-oriented and includes reasonable action behind them." Which why I think Uncharted became popular... And Nolan North. :3 I was never a book reader, just a graphic novel reader though I stopped reading. As for bumping it up, I guess random conversation like this still help with the bumping, it doesn't have to be any unrelated information, does it?

Yesterday I watched cars turn left for a few hours. It was nice.
A year or so of giving zero ******** about my job at Blockbuster has taught me to give no more than adequate effort.
A loud clock set away from your bed will help with the sleeping issue. ^_^
I played some Darksiders, watched an artist friend livestream, read some of the Mobile Suit Gundam the Origin manga, and had a kickass omlette. So a full day for me. ^_^

They had been putting me by myself in the department I am working in FAR too much. On average, it would be like... every shift I get, I am expected to work by myself with no support whatsoever. Plus, I used my phone alarm for waking me up. I got an hearing issue (hard of hearing).

First, you said that I have an back-up lot associate which helped me but in the end, did he actually even helped the customer who was calling for help?" Then it goes like this: "You know, that's why you got "need improvement" on disrespectful. He was told to take care of the cart." "Objection! Once again, that's a 'cart run' and it applies to everyone, not just a back-up lot associate. Not only just that, but that doesn't reassure that the customer satisfaction at all. Furthermore, you also implied that the main role should have suffered a lot more then the back-up role. ALSO! You, not only just disrespect your inferior, but also disrespect that customer too! If you don't know what is going on with the lot, I am afraid I will have to talk to the Front-End Manager about your unethical policies which compromises all of the Home Depot values." Or something like that. I just want to shove it in their face without any backfires. It even irritates me that they have something stupid like: "You don't burn your bridge with The Home Depot." Because chances are... You are the one burning your OWN bridge with anyone else.

Beat Darksiders and its my birthday. Whee. Though I'm celebrating after I sleep, (and get home from work,) which will be the same day. Not much going on, might go to a "corn festival" tomorrow if it is clear after work, but yeah.
