"You're friends of Nero and Lucy, seems like you could be trustworthy. I just have one question, how do you know so much about this realm?" Hydro asked.
"Gus, I'm giving you access to my city." The master came over the intercom. "I want you to make it clear that if those lowlifes don't do what I say, I'll kill the city, including all the innocent people."

"We're not friends." Nero crossed his arms, jerking his head mater-of-factly away from her. "She''s a crazy and rude b***h."
Summer chuckled. "Nero and I have somewhat of a love-hate relationship. So it goes without saying, that we don't exactly get along very well. Still, he has a soft sop for me, whether or not he admits it." She smiled as Nero growled, and started pacing around. "As for my informed involvement, that would be....well, this." She tapped the brick wall with her grimoire, and the sound of a hatch opening could be heard. "Follow me, and watch your step." She grabbed the brick wall like a ladder, then climbed through what still appeared to be the concrete ground. The camouflaged ladder descended for quite some time, then opened out into a small, dimly-lit atrium area. "The people of this city may appear to follow the Master, but not all of them. There are those who want out, who want him gone from their city. But, they lack the means, as well as the power."
Gus grunted as the Master gave him his orders; he was at one of the city bars, tweaked out on cocaine and booze. He had two trashy-looking women hanging all over him. "Yeah, yeah, I'll take care of it. Just let me finish with these bitches."

Hydro gazed at the hatch in amazement. He carefully followed down after the newcomer. "I didn't catch your name, what was it?"

"Summer...... sounds as though you can be trusted," Mica followed after her, "But I'm still curious as to what sort of powers you have. 'Great,another confined underground space' she thought, 'But atleast this one wont land us in cages... I hope'. Mica fiddled with her collar, the blue fire on her hand dissolving it. "I really do hate these things. I don't even let animals wear collars or stay in cages... Anyone else want theirs off? These are different than the last ones. He designed them so I had to use different spell," she blew her hand and the fire went out. She knelt down, placing her hands on the ground and a circle formed around her body, "Let's see what can be done about his little ability to poison energies that you mentioned earlier." The air around her shifted colors.
Mica studied the colors intently. "You guys can take those collars off now," she mumbled, glancing up quickly, "This will only take a minute longer. I haven't read energy traces in awhile, but his power is around the whole city, above and below the ground, so there's enough of it that I should be able to figure it out."

"That's what they were hoping. Whatever sort of central system is controlling the energy corruption, the Master has done a good job as keeping it hidden in obscurity. If you can sniff it out, we can attempt to take it out. But first," The entire room suddenly rumbled, and almost instantly, the back wall was now open. A group of shoddy-looking men emerged, and surrounded them. "I thought I was specific, Ms. Evans, I wanted the priestess only." The voice came seemingly out of nowhere. "Take them to me, and do not harm them."
Summer shook her head with a sigh. "A little short-sighted, to only bring Mica. But I already told him that. Let's go, these guys aren't very trusting, especially of outsiders."

Mica's concentration was lost by the wall opening. She broke off the spell and drew her sword, springing to her feet. "What's going on here?" she yelled at Summer, wondering where the voice was coming from, "Is this some of trick you're pulling on us? Tell us who they are."

"I can understand them not being trustworthy." Hydro said. "Relax Mica, lets hear them out. obviously they took an interest in you."
The Master took advantage of the group being gone, and made his way to the chamber. "Look at the mess they made. Troublesome whelps..."
"You enjoy talking to yourself there?" Massacre asked.
"What the.. aren't you suppose to be with the other losers?"
"No, because I followed your rules, even though i wasn't programmed to." Massacre replied.
"Programmed?" The master got a closer look. "A robot, eh? Oh, I remember ordering Ruse to get me a robot. You sir, do not belong in a cage though." He opened massacres cage.
"Work for me, follow my rules, and you'll get anything you want. Yuo can start by repairing this damage, and then we'll figure out your duties from there."
"As you command, master." Massacre bowed.

"Sorry," Mica lowered her blade, but didn't sheath it, "Can't blame me for being mistrusting of strange people who come through walls around here." The magic around her faded slowly from the broken spell, "I'd like some names, and to know where it is we are supposed to go."

"They're toys of the Master, how can the Boss trust them?"

"How do we know they aren't spies for the Master"
The comments went on between the group as they were led into a large, mechanical room that resembled a factory. The group took them to a hallway on the side, and into what seemed to be a computer room at the end. An aged woman with red hair sat at the desk, her arms crossed. "Leave us, I don't need any protection."
The group did as was told, and the door was locked behind them. "My name is Binka Monroe, and we are the Disestablishment. Or, as the master would call us, an insurgence. I'm sure you are familiar with the term, and what that means for us. Therefore, I'll be frank. We don't trust you. But, we are in need of your, erm, abilities, if we are to turn the tides on the Master's hand over the city."

Putting her sword away completely, Mica spoke to Binka, trying not to sound cross, "I can understand that you don't trust us because we're strangers, but why should we should trust you? All of use were brought here against our will, woke up in cages and collars, and forced to fight. Now we find that we're in a strange world under the control of a mad man, there's some people claiming to be fighting against him, but they're rude enough to tell us that we're untrustworthy then tell us they need our help." She crossed her arms, "You'll have to excuse me if I'm coming across a little bit bitchy, this hasn't been a good day for me. Now how exactly do you want us to help you?"

Binka raised an eyebrow. "You shouldn't be so callous as to assume we don't understand your plight. i haven't seen y home world in many years. It was by chance I escaped the Arena and found my way into the city. But, you must understand, it isn't easy to trust anyone when the Master has his spies. And I might also mention, he tends to employ those who he has dragged here, such as that incredibly boorish blue buffoon that has recently been plaguing the city." She stood up, crossing her arms. "I was hoping that you would be able to locate the central reactor controlling the veil over the city, if possible. Once that has been done, we can proceed with a plan to destroy the reactor, which will allow us to work toward attacking the Master without jeopardizing the people of the city. I won't force you to do anything, take some time to think about it if you need. Just know that the longer we wait, the more living tithes the Master takes from the city to be used for his little 'show'."

Locating the reactor seemed like a simple enough task to Mica, especially since she was capable of tracing power back to its source. She just wondered how easily this new sort of energy could be followed. It wasn't the same sort of power that she was used to in her own world. "If it's work to bring down the Master, then I'm required to help, and I don't wish to anger my goddess more than I already have today," Mica crossed her own arms, "I can't speak for everyone else here, but you have my help. I just have one demand. When the Master is brought down, I will be there. Either to kill him myself or to watch his death."

"Knock yourself out. As long as the innocents in the city can be saved, don't give a s**t what happens to the Master. Last week's tithe took a mother from her children, this week's could take those children. This is not my home world, but I can't say I feel right letting this all go on. That is why I formed this group. Everyone here has lost someone close to the tithes, we all want the Master gone.."
