Vlad held Sal close to his body when the other frowned. 'No one will get near you that could want to do anything to you or our child. I know your worried about how the baby will be treated. Being your child, they will be loved I know it.' He said though he was more worried how others would see the baby when they knew that he was the father. After all he was the feared vampire living in the dark castle and no one wanted to be near him.

'As soon as we get the recipes should we go so we can set up a room for the baby or do you want to keep him or her close to us?' He asked wanting to do all he could to keep Sal happy.

Vlad nodded when Sal spoke of keeping their child close to them. 'Your right, it is best if the baby stays with us. We just have to figure out if they can be on land or needs to remain in the water until they can change like you can.' That also brought up the question of if their child would be able to speak naturally or would need to think like Sal did. He didn't care which it was or anything like that, he just wanted to make sure their child was happy. 'You know, if we want to make sure our baby isn't lonely, we should try for another as soon as we can.' He smiled teasingly though at the same time he was being serious.

'You are uncomfortable in this form then Sal?' Vlad asked a bit concerned that his love was not comfortable being in this human form. This made Vlad feel a bit bad that he had been keeping Sal in this form if the other didn't like it or was less comfortable in such a form and he wasn't going to keep him in it any more then he had to be.

When Sal blushed he smiled a bit and laughed. 'I am very serious about that suggestion my love.'

'Thank you again Arianna, you have been a big help to us, and I do hope that she has some answers for us as well. We will be sure to visit you again soon right Sal.'

Vlad looked at Sal and relaxed a bit hearing the explanation. 'Alright if you say so. But the moment something gets uncomfortable for you I want you to back to your natural and most comfortable form alright?' He said still concerned for his mate and their unborn child.

Vlad bowed to the elf as well before he practically scooped up the merman to carry him home. He wouldn't be tired from carrying his love back to their home. He didn't want anyone to touch Sal at the moment and while he was normally protective, he was more so thanks to knowing that his Sal was carrying their first child.

When they arrived back to their castle Vlad couldn't help kissing Sal and spinning him around. He was rather happy to be a father and he wanted Sal to know just how happy he was.

Having Sal act surprised and happy was always something Vlad enjoyed immensely. As he started to set Sal down he held his lover so the other as facing him before he gave Sal another kiss. 'Of course I am happy my love. We are having a child I feel like Im the happiest man in the world!"

Oh he was so happy to be having a child with the man he loved. Especially when they had found out just how rare it was. 'Of course, I would be happy even if we weren't having a baby, but this is exciting.'

"I cant say if this is how most fathers act or not, just that how I act. My father.... he might have been this excited when I was born being his heir, but I don't remember him doing this for my brother." He said letting Sal go when the male wanted to be let down.

"Of course I will lay with you my love. I don't want to go anywhere without you. I don't want you to go anywhere outside the castle alone either, at least not right now. No one probably knows about our new happiness, but I don't want us to be careless. Your rare being a merman, when all that is usually seen are mermaids, then to add that your with child...." He didn't want anything to happen to his two most important people.

"I cant help but worry when it comes to you. I don't think you want me to be any different either." He smirked before he got into bed with Sal and kissed his neck gently. "I will do anything you wish when we get up." Vlad stated before he closed his eyes falling into his deep sleep where he wouldn't wake up until evening or when Sal stirred.

Vlad woke to Sal kissing him and he smiled up at his lover. "Your hungry hm?" he said smiling before he sat up. "Alright, what are you feeling up for then?" He asked even as he went to slide out of bed. "You can stay in bed if you like, I kind of want to bring you dinner in bed my love."
