Sebastian quirked an eyebrow in surprise. "Really? Traveling for that long?" That was certainly an amount of time. Especially with no badges. Of course, he really couldn’t talk. "You must’ve seen a lot of interesting pokemon then." He watched curiously a moment, glancing over and noticing the Bayleef as well. He didn’t recognize it -though he felt it seemed similar to Chikorita which he did sort of know- but didn’t want to be rude by pulling out his pokedex to check. She actually seemed to have a quite a few he didn’t recognize and a couple that he did.
"Oh really?" He remarked as Snow mentioned the gym leader. He gave a slight frown, shaking his head. "Unfortunately, no I haven’t. Hopefully soon though; my team is getting where I want them to be." Well, whether that was actually true or not he wasn’t sure. They seemed about where he wanted them to be at least. He gestured to his Mareep, who had once again resumed nomming at the end of his braid-tail, seeming to pay only the slightest of interest to the trainer conversation. "I understand the gym leaders a fan of flying types though. So hoping this guy will help." Maybe. When she mentioned something about ‘contests’ he perked up with a look of interest.
"Contests? Like, pokemon contests?" He tilted his head a bit in thought. "So you’re looking to be a … ah… what is it…," Sebastian had to think for a moment. He’d seen some shows on TV about pokemon contests and all from time to time. "A coordinator! That’s it." He suddenly remarked with a snap of his fingers. He was pretty sure that was the right word.
Dragonair and Milotic’s appearance didn’t seem to phase the young man, though he was surprised when Snow had to call them off from their would-be strike. Spade however, had not responded so well, his body bent low to the ground as he watched them cautiously, twitching and ready to strike if they were going to try something. Cyndaquil still seemed enraptured with all the new pokemon, watching as they slid away to the Bayleef, half tempted to go and visit some more if not for the Mightyena seeming to now purposely block his way.
"It’s alright, not a problem. We are kind of intruding." The smile returned. "It’s good they’re so watchful. They sound like a reliable bunch."

Sebastian rubbed the back of his neck as she mentioned not being familiar with what a Flaafy. "Ah no, to be honest. I’m not really. I’m originally from Kanto… sort of my first time and about anywhere else." He remarked, listening with interest as she described the pokemon. Huh, so that’s what he could look forward to if Mareep evolved? He’d have to look it up to get a better idea; though he didn’t quite understand how such a pokemon went from blue to pink in one evolution.
"Oh, ya he likes to chew it for some reason." He remarked nonchalantly, reaching back and yoinking the braid out of Mareep’s mouth and out of re-grabbing distance, causing the poor pokemon to mewl in a rather distraught tone. Sebastian just gave a frown, glancing back at him and shaking his head. "No, now cut it out." Mareep’s eyes started to wobble. "Those sad eyes won’t work either." He looked back to snow, watching curiously as her pokemon seemed to warn her, his gaze looking up to note the clouds coming in. Oh… well now that was a problem.
He considered her offer for a moment. He really needed to get in some training for his team… but rain was kind of a bummer. Of course, it looked like he’d have a bit of time before it rolled in and town wasn’t too far a marathon level dash away. After a moment or so more of thought, Sebastian shook his head, holding up a hand to wave off the offer. "I appreciate the offer, but I’ve been enough of an inconvenience. And ya, I’d like to get my team a little more training. It looks like I have some time." He smiled, giving a little bow. "I appreciate the offer though. Thank you very much, Snow." He blinked as something proceeded to touch at his hair, thinking for a moment Mareep had got ahold of it again before catching Snow speaking to her pokemon, his head tilting to try and give his eyes a better look at the bug pokemon. It was very pretty, he had to admit, even though he didn’t recognize it. It sort of reminded him of Butterfree.
"Well hello, there." He remarked, not really sure what to do. Mareep mewled in agitation at the bug pokemon though, apparently unwilling to share the hair.

Teleporting was weird as hell. Ajicka still wasn't used to it, and grimaced as she landed at Violet City. Deoxys looked at her out of the corner of his eye, but then disappeared before she could say anything. Shaking off the strange sensation, she brushed some of her hair back, looking around. At least it was faster than flying, and it saved her pokemon some energy. She frowned, wondering whether Sebastian was actually ready to battle the gym leader or not. Personally, she was just about ready to go on ahead and do it without him, buuuut... she did sort of have a Houndour to give him. And she needed to put her pokemon in the PC, which she was able to do quickly, readjusting her team to the pokemon she'd be using for the battle.

Luponny had secretly slipped inside as Gogoat began pulling to insure the wagon would still move, stopping when it did in fact move. Sebastian it seemed was going to stick it out a little longer and trainer more. Turning back to him and waving now that everything was ready to go. "Well it was nice to meet you Sebastian. Maybe we'll see you at the center tonight ?" Gogoat seemed a little to eager to get going but Sonoko jolted the rains to tell it to stop. Litzy hadn't even gotten onboard yet. "hold your ponytas We're missing a passenger." She held the rains until Litzy got back on board.

Sebastian watched the Vivillion as it released his hair and returned to its owner, a hand raising up to pat at his head to assure everything as still in place. He watched as they all got prepared to head out for a moment before smiling and returning the wave to Snow. "It was nice meeting you too!" He considered a moment before giving a nod. "Hopefully we will. Take care for now!" Sebastian remarked, glancing to assure he had all his pokemon with him.
Cyndaquil had snuggled onto his foot, falling asleep at some point; Mareep just mewled still wobbly eyed over the loss of hair chewing and Spade continued to watch the wagon and its occupants with cautious observance.
With one final wave, Sebastian left Snow and her crew, noting that there was apparently another girl traveling with her as well; weird that he hadn’t noticed. Ah well. With pokemon in tow (except Cyndaquil, who Sebastian returned to his ball), he retreated back down the path towards the grassier area. If it was going to rain then they needed to get training quick.

Sebastian heard Mareep mewl in agitation, glancing over to see the pokemon confronting with a wild Rattata. Mareep showed absolutely no signs of remorse after properly robbing the Rattata of its meal; if he had at any point in time decided to have some humanity and let the wild pokemon keep it’s food, it had quickly gone down the drain when the rat had gotten in a cheap quick attack shot. Clearly, that alone was enough to deny it its meal.
As the Rattata recovered and scampered away, Mareep hovered over the fruit. Sebastian was still trying to figure out whether to let his pokemon eat the fruit or not –it was kind of wrong to rob wild pokemon like that- but before he could even move, another Mareep appeared. It eyed the fruit sitting in from of Sebastan’s pokemon, immediately moving for it. Mareep mewled at the unwanted visitor, immediately going to attack the intruder.
"Mareep stop it." Sebastian called, both pokemon only pausing to look at him a moment before returning to battle for the fruit. It would probably be a good idea to get his new pokemon some nicknames, now that he thought about it.

Once the wild pokemon had fled and Mareep had consumed his ill-earned gains, Sebastian applied some potions to the pokemon. He pulled out his pokedex, checking out his team for a moment. They were… stronger than they’d been before and he was beginning to think they might be able to take the gym leader on. Maybe just a little bit more?
”Hey mister! Want to battle?” It’s like the universe was listening in on his private thoughts or something. Which would’ve actually been a tad bit unnerving now that he thought about it; of course psychic pokemon were notorious for that kind of thing too, so…
Sebastian turned to face the trainer, giving a nod of confirmation. "Sure, I’m game." This battle would be his last and then he'd get about challenging the gym leader finally.

At the sight of a bird pokemon, Sebastian gave a nod. Good, exactly the kind of advantage he was hoping for. He didn’t know what the pokemon was – this was probably going to be a reoccurring thing for him- but his handy dandy notebook Pokedex was more than willing to reveal it as an Unfezant.
Mareep mewled, recognizing from the look Sebastian gave that he was up to fight, quickly shuffling forward to face the bird off and unleashing a violent torrent of electricity before the bird could do a thing.

Okay, so this trainer’s pokemon were tough. The Unfezant had stuck it out quite well, though it hadn’t taken the opportunity to strike back before Mareep knocked it up. The trainer recalled the pokemon quickly though, sending the next one out without so much of a mention of what had just occurred.
Sebastian would’ve said something but he was busy focusing on the battle before him. At the sight of an Eevee, he frowned in consideration. Mareep looked back at him, before he gave it a nod to indicate it stay in battle.
