Tesunie Weird genetic quark. He actually has the Feretris magic, though only for healing. He isn't very strong with it either. Consider it something like a frog with three back legs. Not suppose to happen, but does all the time. (I'm a freak of nature! A mutant! crying ) Also has magic potential with tribal magic from the plains. Not sure yet, kind of figuring things out as I go. I at least have his history all figured out, just need to finish playing that out. mrgreen . . . Feretris magic is female only. Very explicit with that. He'd have to be a hermaphrodite to have it. Tied to the X chromosome, and you need both. EDIT: Well, it is suppressed with the Y chromosome, so you'd need two X and a Y, or just two X. One X needs to have the gene for the normal case, and with the XXY, both need the gene. 1 gene on X cancels out with Y, and then you have a spare gene on the second X. Hermaphrodite, in other words. EDIT NUMBAH TWO: My bad, it isn't a proper hermaphrodite. XXY Chromosomes. But there are a LOT of defects. EDIT NUMBAH THREE: On reading more on the XXY: "In mammals with more than one X chromosome, the genes on all but one X chromosome are barred from being expressed. This happens in XXY males as well as XX females. A few genes, however, have corresponding genes on the Y chromosome and are not barred. These triploid genes in XXY males may be responsible for symptoms associated with Klinefelter's syndrome". So you still wouldn't have Feretris magic, because one chromosome is pretty much useless for genes that aren't negative.

Well, either that or it is magic from the plains. Talk to Penden. I asked her and she said yes. crying Wasn't me!
Maybe I understood her wrong? I seem to like pressing the envelope on stuff like this. Always have to be different, don't I. stare
I'm just weird, okay? mrgreen

According to what Penden said, you would have magic from the Plains. But that doesn't explain blue eyes and blond hair with dark skin. Especially if you have no bloodline that has blue eyes and blond hair. You are Feretris / Tribe, not Tok.

Actually, what you posted, now that I have read it, could work. He would just look like a young male (though he is thin and small, so the first stated body structure would fit better). He can also still have kids (if I decide on it that is) because it only said 'most' are sterile. Hey, I can beat the odds, right? rofl This link may describe it better though. http://www.gaiaonline.com/gaia/redirect.php?r=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XXY

Penden Welcome, Tesunie! I can tell that you read over the information on the first page. I like the first profile better although I have some suggestions for it (like I've had for many of the other profiles that people have submitted). One note about the other profile, if you DO want to play another character that is from another land, that's fine, the things I didn't like about that one were 1) he rode in on a dragon, but the only dragon-like creatures big enough to fly on are actually in the dragon world except for the ones that Cedric recently brought across to TOK and 2) You'd need to figure out some things about his history and homeland Ok, so about your first profile. smile 1) His mother wanting to keep him is fine. I can totally see that happening, since mothers tend to bond with their children at/right after birth. We can say that most mothers never even see their baby boys, who are bottle fed by the staff of the compound, but that sometimes the mothers do happen to see their kid before it is taken away, and that this is what happened with her. Sound good? 2) His family history after that is a little bit wonky. It's not any one thing but rather a chain of unusual things that together seem less likely to happen. Can I suggest that instead his mother stayed in Feretris and joined a radical group there? It seems more likely to me that she would want to stay there and help change the place she grew up in rather than go somewhere completely new. After all, women aren't that oppressed in Feretris, except the ones who are told that they cannot have children at all. She would be able to stay in Feretris and keep her boy child if she was on good terms with her family, who could have the facilities to raise and train him. If these changes seem reasonable to you, then we can start Tesunie off in a compound just to the south of Feretris, were the raid is just ending and some of the radicals are helping slaves escape in the confusion-- or escaping themselves. 3) Being in love and keeping the father around is acceptable because she would be able to hide that from her family pretty easily. I mean honestly she could just say that he is good in bed and obviously fertile, and children between them are already gov. approved. Just keep in mind that she may not fully understand what love is and that she would probably still be prejudice against men even if she didn't realize it, all because of her upbringing. 4) Appearance/magic -- He needs to have natural hair although he can chose to dye it but dyes tend to be expensive. Blonde hair/fair skin/blue eyes tend to come from TOK but you wanted his magic to be from the plains. Make sure that he has dark skin and maybe brown eyes if you'd like, but at least the dark skin. Looks like his father/his magic is from the Kiyap Turea tribe (see link).I know that my suggestions for his history change a lot, but I'm trying to think of how to get him into the RP right away too. He can still end up with one of the Nomadic tribes, but it would be after you start RPing if you accept these changes. The front page isn't up to date right now about what has gone on just recently, but you would be hooking up with another character who is just escaping or the raiding party as they retreat. Whew. I hope that was helpful, even if you don't like my suggestions maybe you can think of another alternative that might get you into one of those three threads that I just linked. I have bolded and colored the passages for you.

Thanks I was just looking for that! mrgreen
Then he has some magic from the tribes. Got it.
Maybe he will bond with a dragon later too?! eek (Small one, don't want to hog everything. rofl Okay, maybe no dragon. I'll play it by ear.)
Edit: Had to go way back to page 7 to find the original conversation! eek Wow, just a little distance!

It was a joke, and if I did have a dragon, it would be about the size of a gwee. A small little companion to play with, nothing more. That is if I did have one. I don't think I will though.
(You know, that small creature sitting on my head.)
Edit: My magic would also be for healing only, I don't think I will do much else with my magic. As I said, I'm kinda playing it by ear till I figure out this world better. I think I got most of it, but not really sure.

For the dragon I take. Well Tesunie will grow up past 14 eventually... mrgreen
I didn't take into account that he might have dragon bonding abilities untill you mentioned it with the blond hair and blue eyes (though he does have darker skin as well). Weird mix, but is possible on that account.

Weird mix, but is possible on that account. No, he has to be sixteen because that is when Cedric would have left the life of a breeding slave. Read the Dragon post. EDIT [Clarify]: Cedric left sixteen years ago, so the very youngest his child would be is 16. Otherwise, you are of the second generation, which is about age 8 and less.

I can easily play an eight year old...
(Technicalities! I call foul! Wait, am I calling one on myself? rofl )
Well, maybe I should have read up even more. Are their any other nations that could have blond hair/blue eyes then? Either that or I can just change him to be eight years old. No one would notice... ninja

Your lineage was already decided. Do not change your character drastically now that you are acutally particpating in the guild's RP, please.

I wont. I was (yet again) joking. I really should stop that and be serious. 3nodding
What other nations have blond hair though? I really didn't see a description on the nomads though, so maybe some of them could be of his family? They sound like a massive group of people that are just a mix of backgrounds.
