He laughed loudly, "No! I ordered cherry cheese cake icecream. You've never had it?" he looked at her in awe, "it's the best. Well, I dunno, cookie dough is close..."
He pulled out a twenty from his wallet.
After they got their ice cream they went outside to sit on a bench.
"Here, try it, it's good."

Nic looked at the cone apprehensively. She liked her cheesecake plain, without cherries or strawberries or anything. But it was Gerard. Offering her ice cream. How coud she resist? She glanced up at him and back at the ice cream. "Just lick it? You sure you don't mind?"

He smiled.
The first night of summer holidays and he was already having more fun than he'd had all year.
"Want to go for a walk?"

Nic laughed loudly and took a lick of his ice cream. It wasn't that bad, but she liked her superman ice cream better. She told him so.
"Walk? Umm.. sure, but not too far. I hate walking. Me plus lots of exercise equals angry and tired me."

"Okay, fair enough."
He walked quietly feeling a little awkward, so he chomped down on his ice cream. In about three minutes it was gone, so he had no excuse not to talk.
“Who did you have for homeroom?” he asked, not knowing what else to ask.

“I lucked out this year. I got my French teacher for homeroom, Mrs. Bruni. She’s awesome.”
As they continued walking, Nic found herself lost in thoughts again. That was never a good thing. Whenever Nic got to thinking, her insecurities got the best of her. Why was Gerard being so nice to her when he had barely noticed her all school year..? Nic grew eerily silent as her dark mood slowly came back. Who was she kidding? A guy like Gerard could never really like a girl like her. She should just stop this fantasy right now and go back home to cruel reality… God, she desperately needed a distraction.

They both receded into silence again, and Gerard noticed the sad/angry look appear on Nic's face again.
He was having a great time, had he said something wrong? Done something wrong?
"Hey, what's the matter?" he asked concerned.

She supposed she should just be honest; after all, honesty was the best policy. “I was just wondering why you’re being so nice to me. I mean, you never noticed me all year. Actually no one ever did…”

Mikey looked at Autumn as she sat down next to him. Damn it! he thought. "Hi... Autumn." he said, then took his coffee and sat next to Jay. The last thing he needed was being seated next to Autumn. He looked at Jay. She was just staring at her. Almost as if she was trying to burn a hole in her forehead. "What are you doing here?" he finally asked. Again, he wasn't in the mood. He finally found someone to talk to that wasn't all "Ohmigod! You're Gerard's little brother!" Then, Autumn. Go away... go away... GO AWAY he kept thinking. Then he joined Jay in burning a hole in her head.

Jay watched Mikey as he took a seat next to her. Then, she looked at stalker girl. The girl who had just been stalking her is now sitting across from her. She thought she was going to have a wonderful conversation with this Mikey Way person, but no. Stalker girl was here....
((Sorry if mine sound kinda mean. I don't personally think they do, but hey!))

Autumn seemed to notice she was unwelcome, and was a little crushed.
They were assuming she was annoying and prissy, the first of which she was, but she couldn't help it.
She could get along with anyone, but no one could seem to get along with her. Well, Katie, her old best friend had, but she had moved away last year, and never called anymore.
"Well, er, sorry. I- um, well... sorry I interupted," she slowly shuffled off, hoping she could find Jesse and that she hadn't forced him to do too much-- no on second thought, she'd just go home.
She walked a couple of paces, then decided she might as well get a coffee first.

Jay watched as Stalker Girl walked away. "Wait a sec..." She couldn't believe she was doing this. She got up and walked over to her. "I'm sorry. I think we're both just having really bad days. You can come sit with us." She looked back over at Mikey. He was now glaring at her. Great... what have I DONE??? she thought. She sat down with Mikey, Stalker Girl right behind her, and then she knew that this was going to be an interesting conversation...
