Two in the morning, three in the afternoon, including electives like shop and PE. Electives are every other day.
The students eat lunch at their third class. (They're all about the same age group, so they're in the same shift. If I get a child character, they'll eat earlier.)

Honestly, you people are lucky you only have five classes. I have six and the earliest we can eat lunch is after our third class, but there are three different lunch periods and I either get stuck with one that's too early so I'm not hungry, or too late and I'm starving and make myself sick >.< I wouldn't mind the two hour class as long as it wasn't science... *shivers* Actually, I wouldn't mind that as long as I didn't have my previous year's teacher. I think I got stupider in his class *sighs*

LadyPrincePyro Frau_Eva (I also have the tendency to say "booksack" instead of "bookbag," which everyone makes fun of me for 3nodding ). lol Ha ha haaaaaaa...*pokes you with a pencil* You said boooooksaaaaaack!! xd NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *flashback* It's amusing how many people take about five minutes to understand that I just substituted "sack" for "bag" and I'm not speaking a foreign language. xp

You do realize that I have to kill you now. This affront to the honer of the Confederacy shall not go unpunished. My boyfriend is from Michigan too. We have long fights over whether it's "crawfish" or "crayfish."

Oh yes, and it's not a binder, it's a trapperkeeper >.> I've heard backpack too, although the word "bookbag" seems to overall prevail in North Carolina. And...I've never understood the "trapperkeeper" thing. It sounds like some evil, giant cousin of the Venus-fly trap. Not something I'd want in my BOOKSACK, no sirree.

You know what I've always found hilarious? How European English speakers and the British always say, "rubber" instead of "eraser." Incidentally, "rubber" also means "condom," which makes things quite interesting when you have to borrow one from a classmate. It's also funny how the the Brits, "f**" means "cigarette," so it is perfectly acceptable to ask somebody for one, although they'd be seriously confused if you tried to use it as an insult. xd

Vale Kinomoto Honestly, you people are lucky you only have five classes. I have six. *snorts* xd suckers. I go to the same school Ex-Turk does. It's semestered 4 courses first semester, 4 courses second semester. 8 in total (9 if you take a class in the morning (like early morning gym or band afterschool.)) Each semester lasts about 15 to 18 weeks. So lets say... (i'll take my old schedule) period A. Anthropology - 2hr. period B. spare (no class) - 1hr [lunch] - 1hr period C. Math - 1hr period D. Drama - 1hr That would be Monday morning's timetable. Come Tuesday, everything would switch up so it would be B, C, D, A. Then Wednesday would go back to A, B, C, D (but instead of having the extra long first period - we'd go to home room for the hour.) Thursday would be C, D, A, B and Friday D, A, B, C. Each first period class is 2hrs, save for Wednesday. This goes on for about 4 months. Then come February we get a new set of courses and everything starts all over again. gonk Our electives are included in our daily time table also, that we attend every day. And everyone has lunch at the same time o_O; and classes start beginning of September and we get out in the end of June. How the hell do I remember which class to attend half the time? No Idea! They think we can handle it because we wear the fancy 'Academy' uniforms... XD; but we cant. I feel bad for the newbies every year... But this makes me curious now. How are your schedules different at your schools? and more importantly how does the one at Ohtori Amsterdam work X_X;? I'm just playing it by ear - seriously. On another note, here we say 'backpacks,' 'bookbags,' 'booksacks' everything... we use them all over here. Same with 'eraser' and 'rubber' we use both. And for soda/pop, we've combined it to 'soda pop' lol but often we'll just say 'soda' or 'pop' as an abbreviation. I've heard the 'f**'/'cigarette' one too... except people dont use that here. Toronto is a very gay-friendly city and i'm afraid to ask for a f**... you'll either A) might actually get one. Or B) get mistaken for a gay-basher and get clocked for it. XD; Unless you have a really thick British accent, I wouldn't risk it.

Shh... Barentine, you'll make us sound dumb! Ivy just explained xd ! 2 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. I'm guessing lunch is in between then. But I have no idea how electives every other day works... I'm guessing it's confusing for us because we're not used to a non-semestered school. Just play it by ear.

You want confusing? Try a rotating 6 day system, where every day of every week is different. Just when I graduated, they decided to implement the "new" 5 day system (which is what every normal school would use anyway).

The students have two electives. (Music and PE, Art and PE, Shop and PE, etc.) One day they have Art during that period, the other they have PE, and so on.
