Kaleb just wished he was able to use his magic right then, he could have created a portal to Riley's place from there so Demyx knew where it was. While the other two were occupied he tried to channel a bit of energy, but it stung and burned just as badly as it had earlier, so he cut it off with a wince and tried to stifle his whimper. Hopefully his friends wouldn't have noticed his attempt.

"Umm .... there's a sandwich shop just down the street. It's beside a coffee place. Think the coffee shop's like Black Cat er something. Know where that is?"
Having Demyx be able to drop him somewhere closer to home would save time and then he wouldn't feel s bad about leaving.

Twitching an ear, Demyx sat and thought about that a moment. That..seemed familiar, he just had to ponder over it to be sure.
Soon enough, the sitarist had perked up, a small smile finally working it's way to his maw.
"I know where that's at! I can portal you there no problem."
Working fast now that they had a plan, Demyx raised a paw and created a portal for Riley.
"Just erm...call us or something when you get there?"
A phonecall would be easiest, then the water-wielder would know it was safe to move Kaleb to Riley's current location.

Kaleb was relieved Riley would be taken somewhere close to his apartment so there would be a shorter wait, but calling might be awkward since he really didn't have a home phone number, and his cell phone was in his pocket where he couldn't reach it.
"I-I can't pick up the phone, but you could let it ring a couple times," Kaleb suggested.

He eyed the portal and tried not to shiver. He didn't like the idea of going though it again but that meant that Kaleb could get home better. "Yea ... i'll let it ring a bit."
He could do that. Taking a deep breath he closed his eyes and walked as quickly as he could though the portal. He stumbled out the other side shivering and shook himself for a moment before getting his bearings and heading to his place.
Once he was inside he picked up his phone and called Kaleb. He snapped the phone shut after a few rings and paced around in a circle.

"S-sorry there wasn't a quicker way...."
Turning the small smile down towards the mage, Demyx tried his best to be comforting while they were alone.
"It shouldn't be t-too long though, and then we can g-get you somewhere comfortable..."
Ears perking as the phone rang Demyx prepared to summon another portal.
"You ready Kaleb? I don't want to move you before you're ready..."

Kaleb tried not to fidget while they waited for Riley, but one ear did twitch a bit. He was glad Demyx was there with him. Otherwise he would have just gotten too anxious, and ended up trying to move or shaking or something.
Finally the phone rang, and he tried to smile a bit. "I-I'm r-ready..." He said hesitantly. He didn't think he was, because he had no idea how much it would hurt or how things would work on the other side of the portal, but whatever happened was going to have to happen, so there was no reason to just wait around.

He paced around waiting for another portal to appear somewhere so that he could help Kaleb into bed. Maybe he'd see if Demyx could stay around a while. He was one of Kaleb's friends and his partner would probably feel better if he had someone besides him to talk to.

"Alright...you're gonna feel like you're falling for a moment, but just trust me..."
Slowly, Demyx opened a portal on the floor beneath Kaleb and himself. As the portal opened, the two would slowly sink into the cool inky depths of darkness.
And, soon enough, a portal appeared mere inches above the floor at Riley's place, and the two reappeared. Closing the portal quickly, the sitarist cast a glance around, grinned at Riley, then turned back to Kaleb.
"You okay?"

Even with the warning, Kaleb panicked slightly as he felt himself start to fall. He swallowed a frightened whimper and tried to keep still as he reminded himself that Demyx knew what he was doing. He trusted Demyx to keep him safe.
He closed his eyes tight until he felt himself drop back onto solid ground with a soft thud, and waited until the jarring pain went away before replying. "I-I'm okay, thanks."

He almost bitched that it would have been better if Demyx had been able to drop him on the bed but that wouldn't be fair. If Demyx couldn't have gotten Kaleb here without him then he could have done that. Or maybe he could have if he'd been standing by the bed. Damn he was stupid.
"Kaleb .... ya .... i mean do .... i've got those painkillers. I know ya don't like'em but ya'd feel better?"

Right, that couldn't have felt good. But at least he teleported to the right building. Now Riley could take care of him, which was really what the mage needed.
"Erm..anything else I c-can do?..."

Kaleb's nose wrinkled a bit, he wanted the pain to go away, but he didn't think he want the drowsy side effects. At that point he would probably nap anyway, but he really wanted to be able to get up after maybe an hour or so and do some reading. If he really was stronger, he would be able to do so much more...
"M-maybe only one... I-I don't want to take two." He turned his head a little to look up at the other two. "I-it's okay, Demyx, really. I'm just glad you could get me here."

He figured that one was alright. Since he hadn't told Kaleb the dosage on the pills he didn't know that one was enough to make Riley a little drowsy.
"Right ..." He disapeared to go find his pain killers and some water for Kaleb. Hopefully it would knock him out and then he could get his partner to bed and comfortable before he woke up.

Feeling kind of useless now, Demyx attempted to make the best of the situation.
"So um...hey...when you're feeling better, I guess you and me can do some flying lessons, huh?"
The sitarist smiled slightly, watching over the mage as Riley went to retrieve the pills.
"Ya have the wings now, might as well put them to use...though I dunno if yours would be water proof so no diving into the ocean with me, kay?"
