Abla twtiched in her sleep. With all of the cubs running around she spent most of the night trying to get them to sleep. She was having a good dream, the cubs were grown and they had their own cubs running around. She twtiched again then rolled over on her side.
Red Wine sighed as she sat outside. She was not really in the best mood these days. She was spending alot of time away. Really she did not want to be with her brothers and sisters.

Gidith laid next to her. Since the girls had grown he felt, distant from everyone. He sighed "Unable to sleep another night." he said to himself. Zaffar looked at him "Troubled Sire?" he asked. Gidith just sighed again. Rosebelle had gone off from the den to find herself. She felt it was neccesary because she was still unable to see out of her eye and felt it would hold her back.

Abla nodded and sighed. "Yeah." She wraped her paws around his mane then licked his cheak. "I'm pretty sure ti will get better soon." She nodded and stared him in the eye.

He looked at her "Am I a good father?" he asked Alba then looked back to the outside of the den. Zaffar sighed, unable to answer. Avram woke from a light sleep, still somewhat tired though "I think you are." he purred sleepily and yawned.

Ablas brow furrowed. "Of course you are Gidith." She licked his muzzle. "You are the best. Girls are hard to raise, trust me I was one of them." She muzzled him and started licking his mane.

He laughed a bit "Thanks." he said and rubbed her cheek with his nose. Zaffar looked down, somewhat sad "I do miss the little ones so." Gidith smiled at him "Zaffar." he said in a comforting manner. Rosebelle looked around the plains, spotting some birds off to the right "Time to train up a bit. If I'm tobe an asset to the Pride I have to learn how to hunt, even if it's only with one eye."

He had watched them...they had grown, and he...well, he was still small. And a chance encounter with...a lioness..a monster, had dramatically changed his outlook on life. He was small, small enough to be eaten. And he didn't want to leave the rock he had been hiding under, and no one seemed to notice him anymore...the girls, his sisters, were too busy for him, and he hardly ate anymore. It was showing as his once brightly-colored fur was dulling and in some places, falling out.

Abla Purred. She looked over at Hunter, a frown came to her face. She licked Gidith's mane before walking over. She picked Hunter up in her mouth and carryed him over to where she was sitting. She layed down and craddled him in her paws. "You ok Hunter?" She asked and started humming a lulby to him. "Avram you can come over here too." Her voice came out more of a purr. "The girls are growing fast but don't forget one day you will be VERY big strong Lions. You will be alot bigger than them. Right now you are both small but you will be big handsome lions and make your mommy proud." She licked Hunters head and waited for Avram walk over.

Avram waddled over where Hunter was with his mom "I'll be big too! Then me and you can wrestle other lions!" he said and hopped into his mom's arms too. Gidith laughed and looked at them "Being grown up isn't always about fighting boys." Rosebelle crouched down and kept an eye on the birds as she crept closer to them, lightly stepping with her paw as not to make a sound.

Rosebelle wiggled her hind and pounced at the bird, just barely missing it "Darn!" she said as she pawwed at it in the air as it flew away.

"Yay!" he said and laughed, pawwing at her chin. Gidith whispered "Alba, don't encourage them." he grinned. Avram looked at Gidith "You'll teach me how to fight, right uncle gidith?" he said and looked up at him admiringly. Gidith sighed and looked at him "Only when the time comes Avram."

Abla made a bit of a face. "Now then, Avram I said nothing about fighting." She licked his forehead. "Being grown up is not all about fighting." She shook her head. She opened her paws abit wider. She looked at the two cubs, and licked hunters head.

Gidith stood up and stretched his legs out, giving a mighty yawn. Avram looked up at Alba "But we have fun fighting, don't we Uncle Gidith?" he asked and looked at him inquisitively. Gidith looked at Avram and nodded "Yes but, that's only play fighting. The real thing is completely different and much more dangerous." Zaffar nodded in agreement "It is indeed young Sire."
