Lilly laughed as Cala sat down two huge plates of food in front of them. Three biscuits each topped with a thick pool of gravy, a heaping mound of southern cubed hashbrowns with peppers and corn dripping with cheese, a large pile of maple sausage, and a mouthwatering chunk of scrambled eggs.

Cala sighed as she went back to plate her own food. "I'm sorry we were out of bacon and by the time I made the biscuits I was too low on flour to make flapjacks."

Cala clicked her tongue disaprovingly. "I've done better and if this impresses you so much, obviously you have not been feeding yourself proper." She sat down and raised a brow at him.
Lilly giggled as she dug into her food. At least with Dain around it was someone elses turn to get Cala's 'talks'.

Dain looked down at his food and sighed. "I eat probably about one meal a day when I'm on my own..."

Cala glared at him. "Sugar, you cannot treat yourself badly if you intend to treat someone else well." She motioned over to Lilly. "If you plan on taking care of grandbaby you better pull your act together."

Cala was on a roll now, there was no stopping her. "And while you are welcome to stay under this roof as long as you'd like, if you're going to move in, you're going to move in. I don't want none of that p***y footin' around, having your own place but staying somewhere else all the time. I will not be having you waste you money like that."

"My grandbaby is all I have left now, and I love you sugar, but if you do anything...anything to upset her, I'll have a hard time forgiving you." Cala gave him, 'the look', she was over protective of her Lilly, but she had reason to be.

Lilly was staring at her plate while listening to them.
"And sugar, if you need anything, I'm always here for you. If you are ever having trouble with money, people, anything please don't martyr yourself. You are smarter than that I and I know it."
