Lilly buried her face in Dain as she cried.
Cala shook her head. "I'm sorry honey, I should have talked to you about this sooner..."

Dain just kept his arms around Lilly and looked at Cala a little pitifully. He still blamed himself for the whole thing.

Cala sighed. "Dain, I hate to, but I have to ask, there isn't anything we should worry about is there? I mean, disease wise?"

Cala nodded. "You don't have to worry yourself, I know Lilly's clean." She sighed again. "Lilly honey, I don't want to upset you more but you know those pills are not 100% effective, right? When did this happen? I need to know when to get you a pregnancy test."
Lilly just shook her head against Dain, she couldn't face her Gran, she had let her down again, and she just couldn't deal.

"It was my fault...I have never had a reason to keep track of my cycle and I just...I'm so sorry Gran..." Lilly was trying to wipe her eyes but the tears kept coming.
"Oh Lilly, don't you be sorry. There is nothing for you to be sorry about." Cala was at a loss of what to do now.

Dain frowned and mouthed an 'I'm so sorry for this mess' and Cala. He'd just been ******** up everything lately.

"Lilly honey, you take today off of work. I can handle the shop myself for one more day. It's a pretty slow time of the year anyways." Cala smiled sadly at them. She mouthed at Dain, 'Keep and eye on her.'

Lilly pulled her knees up to her chest, so she was effectly as small a ball as she could get in Dain's lap. She just nodded at Cala, unable to bring herself to speak again.
Cala sighed and frowned as she picked up the dishes and washed them off in the sink before loading the dishwasher.
