Erika laughed. "And like Brandon would be able to keep his mouth shut if he was going to be a dad. He'd be bouncing off the walls."

"I was just giving Allison her keys back." He walked over to the counter and crumpled up the note. "I got a ton of food in case you were hungry."

Dain kissed her on the cheek. "I probably should have asked beforehand if you wanted to go in with me but I wasn't really thinking." He pulled out the pasta and salad. "Do you want some?"

Dain grabbed two plates from the stack of paper plates he had on the counter and handed her one. He opened the salad and pasta containers and pulled some plastic forks out of the bag.
