"Why do you think I care, Lily? I care about you even though...I haven't been the best at showing it..." James said the last fraction quietly. "I'm a p***k, alright? I admit it, I acknowledge it...and I apologize for it. I guess it's time to grow up, eh?" He braved to sit a bit closer to her.
"That would be me," Sunrise said, wrinkling her nose at her elbowie potatoes.

Melony burst out laughing, what was wrong with her? If she didn't know better, she would of thought she gets emotionally out of control around Sirius Black. Haha, not.
Sirius apoligized to Sunrise. He smiled at Melony, who was cracking up. Nice to see her smile, at something I did. "Here I'll get you new mashed potatoes." He grabbed a clean plate and put mashed potatoes on it. Sirius then moved the old plate aside and put it in front of Sunrise.
[Somehow, this feels familar. >.<]

Lily blushed. Po-James was apolizing! She suddenly became very nervous. "Well, I, umm" She blushed even harder.

Sunrise was fairly shocked, as an understatement. "Well...thank you...Sirius," she said, surprise and a light blush written on her face. Sirius and Melony were good for one another. Now if only she could find someone. She looked at Remus out of the corner of her eye, who had so far remained silent.
((dang...I'm purple...at least it's a nice shade! Tra La-la La-la! *skips*))
"I'm not going to bite you, Lily," James said quietly, hoping his honest and completely natural actions would be enough for her to see that he truly cared about her.

Maybe Sirius isn't suh a bad guy after all. Wait, did I just call him Sirius? Look at what he did earlier! Force me into a closet to snog him! Rude, rude, rude! A player who will never love! Even if she was trying to convince herself that Sirius Black is a bad person, she knew he wasn't. Total opposite. But Melony did convince herself that Black would never, ever love a girl.
[*sobs*]
Sirius noticing how Sunrise was looking at Remus, grunted. "Hey, you like him, don't ya?"

James couldn't help but let out a single laugh. "Because you're...you. I mean, I know you were never exactly a total trinket to me, but you always care about other people. You help the first years find their classes even if you're late for your next class. You take notes for people in the Infirmary that are always better than the notes you're left with. And your eyes, have you seen your eyes!?" James cleared his throat, losing his cool for a moment.
"Sorry.... You-You're just-" James sighed and smiled like the lovestruck teen he was. "You're just amazing, Lily. And I feel it a great privledge to have known you, even if you hate me."
Sunrise looked at Sirius, surprised at being confronted by this. "Yes...I do. He's just such a great person. I wish I would know why he's so...silent...distant...mysterious..." She realized she was ranting, but didn't quite notice, lost in Remus's strong silent demeanor.
