Rem nodded to Rioto. "Yup I know what you mean." She sighed and leaned back to make herself more comfortable. "Where are you from?"

Aergan's attention had been diverted from the flashy display to Rem and Rioto. His mouth was hanging slightly open as he stared at Rioto in a a disbelieving manner. He then snapped out of it, shook his head violently. "We are not going to get along," he muttered, and returned his attention to the fight, but even vaguely so.

Rioto smiled and clapped her hands. "Oh I'm from Earth, you know. The blue and green pwetty planet. I'm from California there. It's a stait." she answered. "What about you? Are you from Pluto?"

Jack had no idea what was going on outside his protective dome, but he soon realized what had happened when a ball of shadow flew past his head, he spun around, breaking his concentration and ending his defence dome, just in time to see the second ball. He put up his sword to try and block it, it slammed into his sword and he skidded back 3 feet. He let go and tried to jump out of the way. It worked for the most part but still hit him partially in the arm, and sending him to the ground. Jack got up and shook his head, feeling a little tired all of a sudden. HE realized what had happened. He then decided to wait for Zaira to make the next move as he placed him and his sword into a contering attack position...

Rem laughed. "No I'm from..." She hesitated for a second. "Celes, it's in a different dimension." Leaning her head on her palm she let her hair fall to the ground in a thick coil of copper rope. "How old are you?"

Aergan, despite his best self-control, had been reduced to--yet again--staring at Rioto. The girl was...not exactly stupid, but... His mind struggled to find the right word amidst his incredulity. She has no common sense! No 'Stranger Danger' sense! She's sitting there asking Rem if she was from an uninhabitable dwarf planet! AND ignoring Jack's fire show. She defied logic. Once again, he shook his head. If he tried to understand her actions any more, his head might just explode.

Zaira waited for a moment, twisting her feet into the dirt, and when Jack took no action she decided it was her turn.
She bolted from her position straight at Jack, swords drawn, attempting the scissor cut one more time, but this time, she wouldn't wait for point blank range, once she got about fifteen feet away she would add five feet of ice to the length of her sword and quickly try to cut him along the midsection.

Rioto giggled. "Coolio. Oh?" she laughed. "I'm 15. That's one foot..." she lifted up a foot and spread out both her hands. "and two hands!!! Get it? My grandma never laughed at that joke. For some reason she'd always smile awkwardly and smack her forehead with her hand. Dunno why." She glanced over to where Jack and Zaira were still fighting. She had to admit... the swords were shiny. "My birthday was only a few months ago."

Jack put his sword tip into the ground and drew a small line in the ground. The line grew red for a second from the fire then faded, he jumped backwards away from the line, and threw 4 more fireballs at Zaira. Jack put his sword tip on the ground again and drew yet another line in the sand.

Rem chuckled. "That's very clever." She said shaking her head slightly. "mmm, you're the same age as my son." She noted as she pointed across the arena to where he stood facing off with Rick.

Rioto gasped. "You have a son?!?!" she screamed and glanced over towards the two other boys fighting. She could hardly get a good sight of him, but her mouth still dropped open. "He looks cute."

Rem nodded. "Yes he is very cute. He's the best son anyone could ever ask for." Her smile turned soft as she watched her son and then her friends sparring in the arena. Just like old times.

Kai's sphere opened a few feet from Kio. She stepped silently onto the dirt floor and made her way towards him. She sat next to him, feeling content as she watched Zaira and Jack spar.

Aergan took advantage of the distraction to the fullest. He turned back into a raven and fluttered through the air onto Kai's shoulder. |Help me....| he sent to her in a slightly whining voice. |That girl over there is making me go sane!|

Zaira stopped running and raised a solid wall of foggy ice so that she could not be seen behind it and quickly put a thin layer of the fog ice over her body, altering the makeup of it so it was still rather fluid and she could still move.
As the fireballs hit the wall the wall shattered and created three persons who looked just like Zaira, swords and all.
She, and her clones, resumed her charge at Jack, zigging and zagging as they approched.
One ice clone crossing over one of the lines on the ground.
