Shō was running on the dock trying to find his Lone Man Boat. It was a one man boat that wasn't really on the "Safe" side but it helped him travel so he wasn't going to complain. He finally made it to his Lone Man Boat checking the area out one last time before he left. "I'll be back to show everyone what my training resulted to, I wont allow myself to be a mere memory." Shō walked inside his Lone man Boat than begun to paddle away heading out of the North Blue to South Blue. Shō was quite as there was only one thing on his mind, obtaining power.

Arriving to North Blue, Kagen exited his boat and looked around. "well, here I am...I guess its time to get started on my journey around here. I should probably get a better boat soon. I know I may be alone but I plan on heading to the Grand Line soon. So its best to get a better ship to handle the rough seas..." he began to walk around.

----- イくぜ! --Hisao arrived in the North Blue Docks several hours after his massive amount of training in the South and East Blues. He doubted he would have to train there again. He had bandaged himself up from some of the wounds he had suffered during training, but it wasn't a very good job. He walked around, hearing rumors that someone here would be able to teach him some moves. Because after comparing himself to the teachers, he felt that he needed to get stronger. Hisao slowly walked around the Docks, trying to find any signs of life. "Crap... I go from one wasteland to another." He moaned and aimlessly wandered around the Docks in the North Blue.

After looking around the buildings and alleys near the Docks, Hisao decided to try looking through the actual Docks and ships. No one could be sure where people were in this world. "Damn it all. I don't even know who I'm looking for." He said, talking to himself. The young Swordsman climbed up the side of a rather large ship, using the A Hike in the Mountains technique that he was taught by Cabaji the Acrobat back in Orange Town, reaching the top and looking around. After not seeing anyone, Hisao back up and got a running start, hopping to another, but didn't see anyone. He then let out a yawn in frustration and exhaustion, then realized, it wasn't him that yawned.

Hisao heard the yawn that wasn't his and spun around, seeing a man in a yellow and black jacket, with brown hair, and a black line on his face. He had never seen this man before, but he matched the descriptions he had heard. Hisao asked who he was, and the man responded by saying his name was Shuraiya Bascud. This was definitely the guy everyone had been talking about. "Could you train me?" Hisao asked. Bascud thought for a while, then said he would. He then showed Hisao the first technique, called Improvising. The Samurai listened and nodded. It seemed easy enough. Of course, it would be easier said than done, like always.

----- イくぜ! --Hisao looked around him and let out a sigh. Sure, he was at the Docks, which were full of dozens of items that could be used as weapons, but he was a Swordsman at heart, so he didn't like not using swords. Luckily, he always had Kusetsu. Shuraiya then explained the next technique. "Alright. The next one's called Bounty Kick, and you stick a pole like object in the ground and spin on it." He said. Hisao nodded and gripped Kusetsu, drawing it about half way out of the sheathe when Bascud started speaking again. Shuraiya shook his head and waved his hands when Hisao grabbed the blade.

Hisao was confused and turned his head at the Bounty Hunter's movements, before he sheathed the half drawn Kusetsu and looked at Shuraiya, confused. "You can't use any weapons during this fight. Atleast not that blade. You can use anything around you as a weapon though." He explained, yawning. Hisao mumbled something under his breath and pulled Kusetsu out of his obi and place it on the ground, looking at Bascud. This man really didn't seem like he cared about training the Swordsman, and thus, Hisao wasn't really getting into it. Bascud would yawn every other minute, making Hisao yawn as well.

After putting Kusetsu on the ship's deck, he stood up and faced Bascud. The Samurai was about to attack again, getting into a running fighting position, leaning forward, when Shuraiya Bascud once again stopped him. Hisao let out a sigh and looked at him. "What is it now?!" He growled. Shuraiya looked at him and simply chuckled. Hisao was so easy to tease, he would keep that in mind. "Let's turn this training session into a spar." He said. Hisao agreed and ran at Bascud, his wounds, mainly the one to the top of his head from Zeff, hurting with every step. Shuraiya Bascud simply stood there, waiting for Hisao to get closer.

Hisao was running at the Bounty Hunter that was training him, and suddenly jumped back when Bascud pulled two staffs from behind his back. Where the hell was he hiding those?! He asked himself, then shuddered at the possibilities. Bascud ran at Hisao now, spinning the two staff quite well. Hisao watched Bascud's movements, seeing how he held them. He waited for the best moment. When Bascud was a foot away, the young Swordsman kicked at him and caught a staff with his toes, pulling it into his hands. He then stuck it in the ground with both hands and spun around, kicking at Shuraiya's face.

----- イくぜ! --Bascud blocked the kick with his own staff and pushed Hisao back, making him flip through the air and land on all fours. It wouldn't be that easy to get a hit on him, he'd make sure of it. The feat opened a wound and made him wince in pain, grabbing his side. It was one of the wounds he got from training with Johnny and Yosaku. It wasn't that deep though. He took a deep breath and slowly stood up, picking up the staff as he did. He then spun it around his body and held it forward. He then broke it in half on his knee, now having two fighting sticks.

Hisao dashed forward at Bascud, both the fighting sticks longer on the back part of his hand, the thumbs on the very bottom of each one, like daggers. Bascud ran forward too, reaching Hisao and performing a strong vertical swing down. The Samurai used the two sticks to block it, and while they had locked poles of wood, Shuraiya Bascud started explaining the next technique Hisao would learn. Hisao found it somewhat odd that he would explain the technique while they were sparing, but he had seen odder. But him talking had distracted him, and Bascud would probably take that as an advantage.

Hisao and Shuraiya were in a lock. Bascud's staff a few inches above the Samurai's head, stopped by two fighting sticks that were broken from a staff. It was at this point that Shuraiya Bascud explained the next technique. "Alright. This one's called Playing Dead, and it's basically just an act. When you're hit, you pretend to be hurt more than you really are, making the opponent lower their guard, giving you a good chance of getting a hit on them." He explained. Hisao nodded, understanding what he was saying, and smirked. This seemed like an entertaining technique, but would it really work on people? Seemed very unlikely.

Hisao moved his makeshift fighting sticks up, grabbing the staff, disarming him and throwing it to his right, leaving Shuraiya open for an attack. The young Swordsman spun around, performing the Moonlight Kick and catching Bascud in the cheek, making him hit the ground and bounce. He had finally gotten Moonlight Kick down, and used it whenever he had a chance. Hisao ran at Bascud, thinking he wouldn't be getting up after a hit like that. Maybe he had overdone it, and rushed over to check on him. Hisao was rather strong, so he wasn't able to control his strength very well. Suddenly, a staff that caught him in the top of the head begged to differ.

The Samurai fell for the Playing Dead technique. Right after Shuraiya Bascud had just explained it too. And of course, the staff hit him right on the bruise that Zeff had left when he had trained with him. A sort of signature. Hisao had ran at Suraiya, thinking he was knocked out from the kick, but he wasn't. In one quick move Shuraiya had grabbed his staff and hit Hisao on the head, hard. He fell onto his back, holding his head in pain. Bascud jumped up and stabbed at Hisao's head with his own staff. And since Hisao had his hands on his head, it would be hard to block.

Hisao smirked and caught the staff an inch from his head with his sandals. He then spun his legs around, catching Bascud in the head with his own staff. The young Swordsman spun onto his feet, and kicked the staff up into his hand, holding the two fighting sticks in the other. He was chuckling and waited for Shuraiya Bascud to get back up before tossing him his staff back. He was really starting to get the hang of of all these techniques. Especially the Playing Dead technique. He wasn't sure when he would be able to use it, but it would be very entertaining when he was actually able to. That was three techniques down, and one to go.

----- イくぜ! --Shuraiya Bascud stood up, catching the staff Hisao tossed to him and smirked, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. He then spun the staff around his head and aimed it at the Samurai. Hisao smirked and got into a fighting stance, holding the two sticks at his sides. Shuraiya then explained the last technique Hisao could learn from Bascud, though it would take a while to learn. That was fine with Hisao. It wasn't like he had anywhere to be. At least, not yet anyway. The other three techniques he had been taught would probably be very useful later on, so he wanted to learn this one as well.

Hisao nodded and listened while Suraiya Bascud started explaining the final technique he could teach the Swordsman. "Okay. This is the last technique I can, and will teach you. It's called Sift Style. All it really is, is a fighting style that is based around the user moving elegantly and making it up as they go. They also use their surroundings to their advantages while they fight, using them for offense or defense." He explained. Hisao nodded once more and tossed the broken staff over his shoulders, not needing them anymore. He was glad they weren't using those sticks anymore. He didn't like weapons like that.

The Samurai nodded at Shuraiya, asking him to start. Shuriaya Bascud agreed and ran at Hisao, holding the staff up behind his head. That was one of the main reasons he liked fighting against those with staffs. They were easy to dodge. This Bounty Hunter wasn't any different. If you understood the style and patterns of attacks, you could dodge anything. Bascud brought it down at Hisao's head, but he leaned to the right, dodging the swing. He then swung it from the ground to the left, but Hisao performed a one handed cartwheel and avoided that swing as well. It was getting so easy to dodge for some reason.

Shuraiya Bascud then performed a flurry of jabs with the staff after Hisao dodged his other attacks. And he did it again this time, Hisao bending, twisting, or jumping to avoid each blow, making up everything as he went. The young Swordsman had just avoided another vertical downward slash, the staff making a loud banging noise as it hit the rock. Bascud smirked and swung it up, at Hisao's chin. But Hisao saw it coming and performed a back flip, narrowly avoiding the blow. Hisao kept the momentum going and swung at Bascud's face with his foot. Shuraiya did the same thing and barely dodged the technique.

This went on for several minutes, Shuraiya Bascud swinging his staff all around like a madman, and Hisao dodging every one by ducking, leaning, or spinning. Because of all the bending, another one of Hisao's wounds had opened up, giving Bascud a chance to get a hit on the Swordsman, which he did. He spun around and caught Hisao in the side of the face, sending him spinning through the air, only to crash hard on the wood decking. This was a lesson Hisao would take to heart. Take a break every once in a while to heal in between training sessions. Of course, he had tried to take a vacation, but he ended up training wherever he went.

Hisao rolled and got to his feet, waiting for Bascud to attack again. He was getting annoyed of the staff and knew he would have to get rid of it. He slowly walked backwards until he bumped into two rocks that were beside each other. Bascud took the bait and performed another vertical downward swipe. Hisao spun to his left, avoiding the staff and getting it lodged in between the two rocks. He then completed the spin and brought his elbow down on the staff, breaking it in two. That would keep the Bounty Hunter from attacking with that staff anymore. Of so he had hoped. It wasn't the case this time.

Bascud pulled what was left of the broken staff out, revealing a long stick with a sharp shattered end. Pretty much, he had just turned a non-killing weapon into a very effective killing weapon. From a staff to a spear. Hisao let out a sigh, seeing he had just given him a better weapon. Damn, why does everything I do backfire on me? He asked himself. Shuraiya Bascud ran at Hisao again, performing a series of stabs. One to the head, one to the left part of the chest, and then a sweep of the legs. The Swordsman tilted his head to his right, then his body to the left, and finally jumped, performing a sideways cartwheel-flip, avoiding the sweep.

Hisao's bleeding wounds were making him feel light headed, so he knew he would have to finish up the fight right then. He waited, trying to counter at the perfect time. Shuraiya Bascud charged forward and jabbed at the Samurai's head with the broken staff. He ducked back, just missing it. He then flipped around, grabbing the staff with his feet and throwing Bacscud and staff over himself. Hisao then flipped onto his feet and wiped the sweat from his forehead. Shuraiya landed on his hands and flipped onto his feet, saying Hisao's training was done. The Samurai bowed and grabbed Kuestsu, hopping off the ships and onto the Docks.
