Lord Burn Seticus Lord Burn Seticus Lord Burn Fire, fire, FIRE, FIRE! HEH HEH heh heheheheh.
XP Uh huh huh uhuhuhuh... That was cool. *Cue opening theme.* Did you see the 2011 reboot? The ban on Bevis saying "fire" was lifted and Mike Judge fit it into every episode. Shame it didn't get picked up for another season after that. MAD Magazine said that it didn't because Bevis & Butthead were now "too sophisticated" for modern MTV audiences.
But yeah, that would be quite the inferno.Wow... That sucks. That sucks more then anything that had sucked before. *laughs*
Exactly.
Beat Darksiders and its my birthday. Whee. Though I'm celebrating after I sleep, (and get home from work,) which will be the same day. Not much going on, might go to a "corn festival" tomorrow if it is clear after work, but yeah.
Excitement. cat_smile Ah... At where I am, we have a strawberry festival at our local church. I always loved their strawberry food, like those desserts. whee Soooo good. Man, after all of that work, I am pretty much in pain to the point where my body starts hurting itself.

That's one thing I like about the idea of being a Librarian. you at least get a modicum of respect. A state government trying to cut expenses doesn't think so, but we just clog the Columbus mail office with letters to make them stop. cat_blaugh
So how are you doing now?
My birthday was last Friday. Fun, if just with my parents. *Is playing Darksiders 2 now thanks to it*

My birthday was last Friday. Fun, if just with my parents. *Is playing Darksiders 2 now thanks to it* Which is why I am aiming for a new job and one that pays very well for it. Sadly, I gotta work with the recruiters on this. I just wish I could get some respects at work. It's one thing that I get a propane key but Home Awards on the other hand? I only got 4 in total but I need 2 more for the Silver Award.

Yeah, I've heard about a bunch of opening throughout the system that are a higher level than I am, so when I learn more about them, I'm going go to try to apply. At minimum, it's a x 3 pay raise and a x 3 hours, perhaps up to x 5 pay and x 6 hours. So we'll see. Any level of that would be FAR better.
And I hear you about respect. I got roughly...none at Blockbuster. When i got my current job at the library, I was like "what is this deviltry?" It's SO much nicer when it's just assumed that you know how to do your job and can just go do it.
If you're looking for a lateral move, try and get a job as a library page. blaugh
Hop you get your silver maguffin!

Hop you get your silver maguffin! After like several months, I still haven't gotten any awards yet and let just say that since I am sooooo dependable right now, I am working an extreme shift, it's practically physical exhausting! I hope everything really works out for you. Although the x5 the pay sounds really good, don't matter about the amount of hour works.

Just pester them constantly and leave notes about it where your bosses bosses can see it. Get that whatever it is!
I think it's time for a work slowdown.
Yeah, $8.10 to upwards of $35 an hour is a HUGE increase. Lately I've been getting 15.5 hours a week because 3 people quit/got promoted, but I normally get 8 a week. Going up to 40 will be interesting.

Mostly because the store is firing few guys and some people got afraid and quit too. So we're trying to hire better people in results too.

Nice, 15.5 is my maximum. If I get more than 16 for too long, they have to put me in the Union, which they do not want to do. I can't blame them, though it would make getting a higher tier job easier.
Ugh, losing other people sucks because you have to pick up the slack. Hope you can without too much trouble. ^_^

Yeah, grunt works sucks though. We're too old for this s**t.
My supervisor told me about hiring they're doing at a higher level...but it looks like they might not have benefits, and while going from 4k to 20k a year would be nice, all it seems it will do is force me to start paying my student loans and force me off of Obamacare. So...I might not bother if they don't have benefits. cat_emo

They said that if it gotten to the point where I am working more then 29 hours constantly, I should be eligible for Obamacare and full time job myself. I guess he is affecting everyone and it is not helping us.

It's only effecting me because it's not worth getting a better job. Which is bullshit, but yeah. I did hear the job was union though, so hopefully that means it has benefits.
At Metro General if you make under like, 12K a year and are not married, you're eligible for full coverage. Dunno if there is partial for above that, but yeah.
Went to a fair today. Fairs are always fun. We're to the point where we're just going to the Rabbit and Horse barns. Went past the cow milkers on our way to the 4H Milkshake stand, but not into the barn.

The one thing I like about my job is the challenge to make things satisfied within the time constraint. Aside from that, it is just pure chaos. I like going to the fair but around here there aren't so many. I really want to go to the Renaissance Fair though. And get some cool armor and the like. I am starting to enjoy this whole Face/Off and Hero of Cosplay on Syfy now, I kind of wish I have the ability to get some amazing make-up as well.
