HI. My real name is Addie Im a college student majoring in police science and minoring in psychology, but Im takinf philosophy on the side. I love to talk about morality, the nature of knowledge, and the nature of the world. I'd love to join in the hating of French, but I took Germen and I sucked at it, even if it was a fun class.

My name is Nathan. I'm likewise new to the forum, and I'm quite interested to see what kind of philosophers live on Gaia. ^.^ I graduate in May with degrees in both Philosophy and Religious Studies, and I definitely thrive on ideas and on meeting and dialoguing with ideas-people.

Hey everybody my names Ian I like t ostudy physics and philosophy the two subjects that you ca nstudy forever and get nowhere. I like to make impressions in just about anyway possible Ex: I have a blond fro, because my motto is nothing matters if nobodys going to do anything about it. I play soccer and attend middle school. I love philosophy because like to read people and so this better helps me to understand why people do things. Ian out.

'ello all, i'm Travis but all my friends call me DragonRider or Ryuu or Dragon. Any of the three work, but i'm most familiar with DragonrRider.
I've been into philosophy since I started reading things outside of what I was required to read so for about the past 14 years. I'm 24, an activist and very involved in my community. I am an actor and have been since age 7. I enjoy reading, writing, movies, wine & cheese, and discussing any topic in great detail.

hello all. my real name is mike, im a senior in high school, and i live in the frozen north lands. today we just got a foot of snow - so yes, i really mean frozen.
i plan on majoring in philosophy when i get to college (hopefull someplace warm). my favorite philosophers are the existentialists - sartre, camus, dostoevsky, nietzsche - and political philosophers such as rousseau, locke, and paine. i also like plato and the socratic method.
i like music - all kinds excluding emo, though my favorites are heavy metal (black and death mostly), early punk (stooges, ramones, richard hell) and grunge (alice in chains, nirvana). i especially enjoy examining the philosophy in some of my favorite songs.
ummm...thats it for now. later.

I'm Iksuinoyume, but since the name is so tricky or long to type out, people just usually call me Ikki or Iksuino ... Or Yume. It doesn't really matter what you call me, actually, as long as I can distinct that you're talking to me. Nothing like, "Yo, b***h!" though. Though ... Err ... Well, it's okay if we're on a close level. >_>;;
Umm ... I'm a Sophmore in high school, but I'm going to be a junior as of next term. Though, my favorite class would be Western Civilization, which is a college prep class. But, I love it because you get into the study of the Greek classic works, which alot of the development of the Western society was based upon after the Middle Ages. I love listening to others opinions on what they have to say about topics, and I occasionally debate as well, which kind of links to my interest in the studies of Greek classic paganistic writings. I also love to think too, so if anyone has some opinion that has caused me to think differently about, I respect.
Umm ... I'm an artist at heart. I love poetry, probably any type of literature, especially creative writings and biographies too ... Which kind of shows, since I'm typing quite a bit here ... So ... Uh ... mad D ... I also love art, because I like the fact that you can portrait what you see, and let that art influence others as well. I also like music, alot. I basically listen to anything. No, not just one genre, when I say that I like music. Just name it; Country, Classical, Rock, some Rap these days, Jazz, Blues, you name it, and I'll most likely have listened to some form of it, and if I haven't I will, next time I get the chance.
Huh ... What else ... Oh! I also am interested in psychology, nanotechnology, other types of religions, politics, and observing the nature of our present day society. So ... I guess that's just the guts of my interests. I hope to see some good opinions in this guild!

hello my name is Riley McCoy. I am a junior at OHHS where I play tennis!! I'm not that good, but hey I enjoy it. I really like video games and computer and technology fascinates me. Imagine what it'll be like 30 years from now...

mrgreen Hi ("haldo!") -- Call me "thinkubus" or "think." I'm quite interested in, though not very knowledgeable about, philosophy and science. I hope to learn lots of cool things about the former by lurking about here. I have some pretty liberal, almost hippie-like views, but I can be quite intolerant at times, which is something rather un-hippie-like about me. I guess the balance comes in because I don't smoke pot. I love music, and my favorite bands are the ones with philosophy in their lyrics, such as Incubus and Rush.
I suppose that's all you need to know about me for the sake of this guild...Anything else you need to know will probably refract through my internet personality smile

Hi
I am a university student studying philosophy. I have been a member of gaia for a while but had a break of about 2 years from it but a few months ago i decided to return! Anyway i thought i would join this guild to meet some like-minded people.
My main area of interest and specialty is philosophy of mind but i also like most of the more "traditional" philosophy aswell - like Plato and Aristotle, Hume Kant etc. etc. Feel free to pm me or comment on my profile if you want to know more. 3nodding
