Riptide: Riptide = “A strong current caused by tidal flow in confined areas such as inlets and presenting a hazard to swimmers and boaters.”Mood: Turbulent  self-pair! mated to my girl, iona! pretty much abandoned by his mother after he popped from his BCR, living on one of the islands surrounding bateau's old territory. knows how to fly, for short periods of time, but very uncomfortable with it - prefers to walk or swim. surprisingly agile in the water, for a 'daeva of his stature. keeps to himself and fends for himself most of the time, knowing no other life. he and iona met one morning when she was exploring around bateau, something that had become a routine of hers following the disbanding of the tribe. she swam over to his isle and accidentally startled the 'daeva, who had just begun to enter the water to fetch himself an early morning meal. riptide was almost tempted to ignore her, as he usually did with travelers passing by, until he noticed her fins. attention caught, the two struck up a conversation and it, surprisingly, went very well. the two made plans to meet again, doing whatever they fancied each day - hunting, swimming, exploring, lounging around, chatting away the afternoon. days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and it was evident that the two had grown attached to each other. seeing no real reason to continue leaving each night just to return to lonely, abandoned tribe lands, iona asked riptide if he would be alright with her staying on his isle - if he would want her to stay with him. he, of course, said yes. <:

Personality: Eager and even a bit reckless at times, Chicory is a 'phim who dives head first into all things in life, which can occasionally land him in some, uh, trouble. Every action has consequences, and Chicory... never really thinks about those consequences. Easily excitable, he'll often charge off with no questions asked, without any real thought about the possible repercussions, risks, or threats that may result from his actions. He always acts with good intention though, and is never one to fight, argue, or upset anyone on purpose. In fact, the very thought of upsetting a loved one intentionally upsets him! Despite his rash and sometimes irresponsible behavior, Chicory is a loving fox who does care deeply for his friends and family, apologetic and willing to drop whatever he's doing should they say the word - he's always willing to listen, even if it's a harsh truth or something he really doesn't want to hear. He's definitely the type of individual who needs direct communication, rather than hints or subtleties. Now, about that hobby of his: collecting flowers. Chicory loves flowers. What started off as a simple activity to pass the time as a kit quickly developed into a full blown obsession of his once he became an adult and could go explore on his own. He likes to collect flower specimens from all over the land and preserve them in an old book he found as a youngster, storing them safely between each page. He's even created a simplified key for the collection, using dots of color (stolen paint from humans, ink, dyes, whatever he can scrounge up at that moment) to mark specific qualities that the flowers may have - if a flower is poisonous when consumed, for example. Gathering all of these flowers is something that Chicory mostly does for his own enjoyment, but there is a part of him that hopes that the collection will be of use to someone someday, long after he's passed.

Naunet will go here! Naunet: slaps info down for laterMood: Eloquent note to self: The Kemet Tribe - Scout maybeee non-binary, uses they/them pronouns. offspring of one of Old Kemet's now-deceased members (probably some sort of emissary/diplomatic guy) who ended up having so many one night stands when making trips outside of Kemet. he 100% cheated on his mate, went behind her back, didn't tell her s**t and never intended to tell her the truth. Naunet... is the result of one of those flings. super scandalous, especially when you consider the fact that both Naunet's father and mother are diplomats for their respective tribes. Naunet grew up privileged, living in high society all of their life due to their mother's status in the tribe, and never suffered from lack of... well, anything. only thing that was ever difficult for Naunet was the lack of support they received from the tribe when it came to their gender identity (they were very traditional in that regard, unfortunately), but to hell with that. Naunet vowed from a young age to be better than their peers, do better, and they did - the 'phim, silver-tongued and amicable (even when faced with individuals who were... less than likable, ick), quickly rose to power and was given a place as one of the tribe's councilmembers. they had everything they could want, everything they could need, anything at their disposal so long as they played their cards right and maintained their high rank. Naunet's world was shook when they discovered the true nature of their mother and father's relationship. they had been told all their life that their father had "just been a stranger passing through," but learned through a bit of eavesdropping (...don't give me that look, politics requires a bit of sly underhandedness at times) about the possibility of their father being a diplomat from another tribe - Kemet. Naunet and their mother had a stern heart-to-heart and the rumors were confirmed to be true. upset with their mother's actions and their supposed father's (if they could even call him that, ugh...), Naunet went "yeah this doesn't sit well with me at all, i need to make the truth known," and left silently in the night, providing no word or explanation to the tribe - they had no intention of returning. intent on confronting their father and explaining the situation to his poor mate, they went on a long journey to find Kemet lands. Naunet has recently located the tribe, only to discover that a majority of the tribe was wiped out - including their father and his mate. well s**t. now what?   link to custom thread!
