The pair would however find that the Wingull was impossible to avoid, water blasting in a line across their route of escape. No no no. Intruders couldn't go. Lest they come back in larger numbers and take his shinies! Landing on a branch the Wingul would make a display of extending it's wings and trying to look larger and more fearsome. They were not escaping!
Argyle would only have a moment to gulp and grit his teeth before the real shaking began. Spreading his slightly the boy would drop down to straddle the rock in a gesture his manhood would immediately inform him was unacceptable. Still he wasn't risking this on balance alone....even if as a butler he had perfect balance. Trying to hold on to the rock with hands, feet, and legs, the boy would treat the floating debris like a bucking bronco. A steely death grip would be involved in hopes of not falling off.
Meanwhile Jekyll would go about his own way of aiding his trainer. Getting off of Argyle's shoulder so as to not through Argyle off balance, the Croagunk would mimic the boy's positioning. Unlike Argyle however, Jekyll would raise one arm into the air, waving it around as if he were holding a hat and shouting for all the hear ">YEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAW AND A YIPPEE KI YI YAY!! GET ALONG LIL ROCKY!<" Well at least somebody was enjoying this scenario!
Starter Pokemon: Croagunk [M] Name & Level: Jekyll, Lv 4 [Temperament] Naughty Bio:The story of how Argyle met Jekyll is a bit of an odd one. After purchasing a bulk shipment of skin rejuvenating mud from Sinnoh's Great Marsh (Guarnteed to take twenty years off your appearance!), Mistress Rosevelt had set aside some time for a fully immersive experience with the product, during which she received quite the surprise. It would seem the mud had come with stowaway in the form of an egg. Unfortunately it was about this same time the egg decided to hatch, splattering the aristocratic woman with muck and eggshell. After a shriek and shrill cry for the nearest Argyle to attend her, Verde arrived and was immediately ordered to dispose of the creature, although not before cleaning up the mess it had created. Whispering a snide remark just below his breath, both Mistress and Argyle were in for a surprise when the newly born Croagunk began to snicker devilishly. It seemed the Poison-type had heard the boy, and shared his sense of humor. Amused by this fact the young Butler then went about the task of convincing Mistress Rosevelt that the Croagunk would be quite useful in his regular duties, allowing him to make the manor to "shine as radiantly as you do Mistress Rosevelt". Little more in the way of convincing was required on the boy's part, and so he obtained his first and for the time being only Pokemon.
Since then Jekyll has proven a good match for Argyle, frequently snickering at the boy's comments be they made aloud, or simply implied. Unlike Argyle however Jekyll does nothing to hide his wicked nature, frequently mocking others quite openly and then laughing about it. Though cruel he is not crude, and more than willingly to amuse himself by catching the enemy off guard. Unfortunately for them, the Wingull was very insistent about the battle. A spray of water was shot in the direction of the exit and Longwei pulled Jin-Hua back before she could get hurt. Fur bristling and ears plastered against his head, he let loose a snarl. Fine, if it was a battle the bird wanted, a battle they could do. This time when the Rage started to pulse through his veins, he let it consume him once more. Saliva building up at his mouth, the Houndour continued to snarl viciously. The red spread through his vision as he tried to jump and lunge at the bird with Rage!

Unfortunately for the Houndour trying to catch a bird was rarely so easy. There was a reason their natural predators tended to be silent and sneaky. The moment the Houndour got close the Wingul would take to the air, circling once before swooping in close and loosing a jet of water from it's beak. Yes while Longwei was trying to light his fire, his opponent was attempting to douse it with a Water-Gun!
While normally the Houndour would be trying to hastily retreat at the sight of water, the crazed one didn't even flinch. Instead he continued snarling. The waves around his vision were getting stronger and stronger. While the Wingull aimed the water at his opponent, he lunged forward with Rage at one of it's wings. This was a Counter-Attack! If he could slam into it hard enough, the impact could snap the fragile bones from the bird and send it plummeting to the ground for easier access!
The rock flailed even harder, twisting and shuddering under the Kirlia's powerful psychic grip! For a moment, it might seem like the rock had spun completely upside-down! Could it ever end?
... well, yes. Everything ends. And in this case, not with a bang, but a whimper. The rock gradually righted itself, boy and Croagunk still on it. The Kirla frowned, clearly displeased. >But... there was supposed to be a boom! An earth-shattering kaboom!< She tapped her cheek gently, lost in thought. >Well, I guess that is kind of a surprise...< she remarked as she floated away. Argyle and Jekyll were safe to continue forward, nothing lost... but nothing gained.

Rather than merely injuring the bird Longwei would come close to tearing the limb clean off the Wingull. Giving a squawk of pain and distress the bird would attempt to fly to safety, nestling himself in the boughs of a tree in order to preen and attend to the wound. Flight was his one advantage in this battle aside from....well....water of course.

Eyes swirling like hypno-discs, this time unlike those before, Argyle would puke. Leaning over the side, only in hindsight hoping he didn't hit anyone lest they seek retribution, the youth would relieve his stomach of his contents. He knew a Butler was supposed to take a guests coat, but this was a step too far he felt.
Gently patting his trainer's back, Jekyll would merely snicker and declare ">I'll remember to thank Chuck for helping you up.<" Yes, wasn't Argyle so lucky to have such a considerate Pokemon?
With Jekyll back on his shoulder, and feeling considerably light, Argyle would wait a moment for the wobbles and shakes to run their course before continuing. Hopefully they never saw that Kirilia again.

That had gone surprisingly well. Even so, the longer Longwei stayed with Rage, the more insane he became. While he could have simply moved forward with Jin-Hua, the pokemon was still lost in the rush of adrenaline the battle was providing. Almost looking rabid from the saliva dripping from his maw and fangs, the deep blood red of the Houndour's eyes were eerie. This pokemon was now deep into the Rage as he charged forth not ready to let the Wingull escape and willing to slam it into the ground!
The hollow bones of the Wingull would snap in an instant, shards and fragments jutting through the skin ans blood rapidly began staining the grass. It didn't take a genius to realize the Wingull wasn't about to survive this, but then its ribs gave way. They'd done it, they'd killed another foe in this forest.
Another battle. Another dead pokemon. As the rage left the Houndour's eyes and they darkened back to the normal crimson, he shook his whole body from head to toe once. Phew, that attack was powerful and very dangerous. Saliva hitting the ground, the pokemon looked normal once more and less demonic then before. Feeling a bit ashamed, he quickly ushered Jin-Hua past the body and onward to continue through the forest...
Argyle's next step would land one what he thought was a part of the floating rock... and in his defense, it WAS a rock. Of a sort... a Carbink pushed up past the young student's foot to hover in front of them. It glared (as best a little fluffrock could), waggling it's antennae in annoyance. >Watch where you're going, bub!<
Walking through the forest Jin-hua and her Houndour would spot a Budew....as well as a suspiciously familiar try. Oh know, it seemed somewhere along the line the fog had obscured their path and trail! They were wandering in circles! One could only hope they'd find their way out eventually!
The pair spotted the Budew but luckily it was up in a tree away from there. Showing no aggressive signs, the two were free to move on. And move on they did! The forest was oddly confusing and hadn't they passed that same pokemon before? Hopefully they weren't getting lost...
The forest continued to loom over there and the silence continued to follow them. So far, they continued walking with not a pokemon in sight. For once the path was clear, though it also meant they had no idea where they were or if they were still heading in the right direction...
