Xavier heard a voice interrupt his dreaming and drowzily opened one of his eyes to look at Shade before looking at Hope, who had practically been dragged over to Xavier for she clutched onto him.
Hope stared wide-eyed at the dragon, unable to do much but stand and stare. She had a strange combination of fear and respect that he probably deserved.
Xavier opened his other eye, turning his head a bit to examine the girl more closely. Slowly he stood up, shaking the sand off himself and spreading his wings while watching the girl's reaction towards him.
Hope swallowed hard, helplessly staring up at the large beast as she clung to a much smaller dragon and Shade.
One of Xavier's wings stretched as he watched the two. "Indeed, but I'm unsure as to if I want to keep her now." he said as his tail slowly swung to one side, letting it drag against the ground a bit in a lazy way.

"Truly? Well then at least she can thank you for saving her. Had it not been for you, she may have drowned." Turning to hope he engourages her gently. "Go ahead, and don't worry I'm right here."

Xavier lightly sat down, letting his tail curl about him once more as he folded his wings against his back. His burning purple eyes watched Hope curiously as he waited patiently for a response from her.
Hope quickly looked at Shade before her gaze switched back to Xavier again, swallowing hard as she forced herself to push her fear behind her in order to be polite. She stepped foreward slightly before bowing low, even though it caused her great pain to do so because of her recent injuries. "Th-thank you s-so much sir for saving me.." she said quietly yet sincerly, making sure to remain bent for a long enough time before standing up straighter again, cautiously looking up at the large dragon.
Xavier's head was tilted, curiousity plain on his face as he watched her. He stood up as his tail swayed, seemingly pleased by her actions. "Yes, yes, of course, of course! I am your saviour, and as such I do so deserve all your praise." he said as he lifted his head, letting the cockier side of him take over. "Now than, be on your way and leave me at peace, you people are all so troublesome and loud.." he said before he sat again with his side facing the two.
Hope blinked, then couldn't help but smile, turning to tentively look up at Shade.

Shade smiles back at hope. "See, nothing to worry about. But I believe it is time we left, we did interrupt his nap after all."

Hope tilted her head a little before looking back at Xavier, who was nodding in agreement with Shade's statement. "O-oh.." she said quietly, still clutching onto his arm gently. "Alright..I suppose we should go then..if we've bothered him.." she said softly, watching Xavier as he laid down once more.

They reappear in the woods of Gatha where they started. Shade seems a bit drained by the journey. "Well I think that should do for today. We should get you back to the doctors for some rest. Afterwards we'll have to find you a more permanent residence."

Hope lightly shook her head, trying to shake the weird feeling she got from traveling so strangly. She turned to look at Shade, concern coming over her face as she looked at his tired features. "Are you alright Shade..?" she asked quietly. "M-maybe you should be the one to rest..I-I'm fine for now, and you must be so tired.." she said in her soft voice, truely looking concerned for him.
(I'm probably gonna end up going soon too, I'm really tired..)

He shrugs. "It's nothing, I just traveled too many times too quickly. I'll be all right after I rest, but first I must see that you are taken care of." He starts to walk towards the caves.

Hoped blink, stumbling a bit as she tried to keep up with his pace with her bad limp. "I'm sorry.." she murmured quietly, feeling like it was her fault that he had used up so much energy. After all, he did go through the trouble to bring her here and take care of her, then he took her with him.

Shade slows down so Hope could catch up. "No need to be sorry. As I said, I'll be fine after I get some rest." He offers his arm once again for support.

Hope was able to keep pace with him now that he wasn't moving so fast, and she looked at his arm as he held it out for her. Gratefully she took it, tirdly resting her head against his arm as she shut her eyes and let him lead the way. "Alright.." she murmured quietly, suddenly feeling exaughsted from moving around so much in her condition.

They reach the cave a short while later. Shade leads Hope to her bed. "Now I should go to my own rest. Should you need anything, just ask the doctor. He should be able to get it for you. I will be back later, to see how you are doing."

Hope nodded slowly, her eyes already drooping closed as she moved to tiredly crawl under her blanket. She gave a soft yawn, already half-asleep. "Th-thank you Shade.." she murmured quietly, curling up a bit under the blanket. I'll be waiting.. she thought softly before drifting off to sleep.
