unethikul I don't know a damn thing about the issue in question, but that makes me smile nonetheless. HOKAY. So basically, back in 1930-something or sometime around then, a lady named Scripps donated money to build a seawall around an area of the beach so it would be protected from dangerous waves. It was so children could have a safe place to go swimming.
HOWEVER,
The seals liked it too, moved in, and took over. While people swam with them for a while, it was eventually deemed unsafe because of bacteria in the water or something. A barrier was eventually put up, but people were happy to be able to watch them.
ALSO HOWEVER,
I think the rope was recently removed, so some people are stupid and harass the seals. A lot of people want them to be scared away from the beach so the kids can have it back.Something like that~ B: whee Thanks for the comments, guys~ heart
