Yamino Tenshi Serifin Howdy, folks! You haven't scared me away yet, I promise.. I'm just.. er.. still waiting for the Mixer to end, due to endless fear. smile Dost my ears decieve me, or do I hear something about a Parent-Teacher conference, too? Sounds like all kinds of fun, and, oddly enough, I have Ketrien's parents pretty firmly fixed in my mind. At least Ketrien's sister won't be showing up. Yes, Monday (in RP time) will be Parent day. twisted Oooh, fun. Ah, well, the origin of Ketrien's.. er.. personality.. won't be a mystery for long, then. smile

At this point, I'd join now, except that the Mixer is a such a -bad- place to introduce Ketrien. I mean, I haven't had a chance for her personality to show (and I don't think her profile's been put into the list yet smile so having her go stir-crazy would just.. be really bad. mrgreen
So I'll wait for Saturday to start.

Yamino Tenshi Ariella Herangale Anybody else ever save over 3 hours of work by accident? crying *bangs head on desk repeatedly* You're not talking about an RP post, are you? sweatdrop *pat pat* heart That--and 3/4 of my English essay. gonk I lament the loss of my post more, though--I'll always have my rough draft, but that was actually a really, really great one that I actually liked. And it was funny. crying This is why I don't do homework Saturday mornings at 2am--no good can come out of it. stressed How goes everyone's weekend?

Good: I get to mooch off my friend's rich a** mofo dad and actually eat some real food this weekend by tagging along with them to fancy resturaunts. I got to play with puppies at the park yesterday (I want puppies. They turn everyone into a 5 year old little girl. xd ) And I finally finished my 500 SKETCHES. Yeehaw, shut me up and slap your grandma!
Bad: My friend with the rich dad keeps making me spend time with him instead of doing homework and right now he's throwing a tantrum because I said I'm NOT going to see him today. rolleyes He'll get over it... besides, it's not like I would RATHER be painting these stupid finicky little patterns for Color Theory...

Yeah! I thought we'd go for Italian, but that's tonight. Yesterday we went to a steakhouse. Not really my style, but I wasn't too bad! The leftovers are filling up my entire tiny dorm fridge. @___@

Sorry to bring this thread back to a somewhat unpleasant topic, but Cervantes: I wasn't condescending to you yet. That hadn't even reached condescension. Condescension would be me telling you in very small words that your character is acting like his usual self with very little changes, to which I might also add some somewhat veiled insult. However, if the comment was condescending, which would imply that I thought of you as so far below my intelligence level as to be nonexistant, (strictly hypothetical, mind you), I wouldn't even bother to veil that insult so well, thinking that you, the condescendee, would be far too dense to pick it up. That is condescension. What I was doing was merely pointing out a flaw in your roleplaying. And if I, the GM, point out a flaw to one of my players, I expect him to take my advice seriously.
The fact that he obscured himself with the foliage doesn't make him modest. That could easily be confused with paranoia or caution. Modesty includes a whole range of traits, none of which I have seen in Rodas this evening. Maarten is acting modest. Yes, I posted the dictionary definition, because it could say what I wanted to tell you more succinctly than I possible could. I would have gone on in nebulous description of the term modesty, without really describing it in much detail. Now that I have elaborated on my thought processes, please take my advice and look over the way your character has been acting with the information I have supplied to you in mind, or steps will be taken in-character to 'explain' the lack of reaction Rodas has to the chocolate.

Well-said.
No one had to take a candy. Once a character does, you're (general you, here) expected to have the character act the way you specified in the Mixer thread.
