Talia pulled away and smile. She carefully scooped out a noodle and tried it. "Awesome. The noodles are done."

Brandon jumped back to the stove. "Sauce isn't." He cranked up the heat. "You want to watch this? I'll drain the noodles."

Ally sighed. "Yes, well...the last one I wanted to keep around forever died on me."

Brandon kissed her on the cheek. "Now, don't burn yourself on that or this would just be flat out ridiculous." He picked up the pot and carried it to the sink.

"You really loved him though..." Marius would never admit it but Mael was part of why he ran away. He had thought that Ally would never care about him as much as hid Mael.
