Hmm. I went riding this morning. =DD
Hehehe, Diva escaped from her paddock yesterday morning (as two stable hands, my teacher and another rider informed me). Apparently they found her walking around in front, grazing, living the good life. xD I was so proud when I found out. My little rebel pulling real stunts.
Yeah, so, my weekend's been good. I watched Ocean's 12, GREAT movie.. watched it twice.. and First Daughter, horrible, just.. horrible.
Ah, but I'm happy.
How was yours?

I'm just finishing my math homework.
Four pages of stencils and three in the textbook. Ick. Granted, this work has been given over about three classes, but meh.
I like Caporuscio better than Avraam, by far.
Who do you have?

Canada's an awesome country, to be sure. But what right do we have to claim we're the best? Maybe he was kidding? oO; It's called pride. Lots of people say their country is the best, it doesn't mean they don't know it's not true. Besides, who can judge? Maybe Canada is the best. Maybe the US is. Maybe Afghanistan is. Maybe Spectre is right. We have as much right to claim we're the best as our neighbors do. Now, this does not mean I think we're the best and I hate the US. Quite the contrary. I've just grown out of that phase.

I've just grown out of that phase. Just because we can, doesn't mean we should. Two wrongs most certainly doesn't make a right. We don't have a legitimate basis to claim being the overall "best", and another country's pride doesn't justify otherwise. The fact is, just as many people legitimately believe we're the best country using only scattered knowledge. "Liek, we have no hurricanes or bush!!! ya no famine or terrorism! GAY MARRIAGE! GO CANADA!" Albeit, I stupidified that argument, but I've heard boasting like that numerous times. Were they serious? Well, they didn't exactly throw confetti when you'd challenge their statement or jest to the contrary. In some small, skewered individual perceptions, I'm sure we are the best. In others, we're perhaps one of the worst. "Best" is such an obtuse term, especially when we're given no method to measure said worth on. Personal freedoms? Birth rate? Employment rate? Cultural diversity? Disparity? No, I get where they're coming from. Blind nationalism can create unwanted hostility and spread needless ignorance.

Cultural diversity? Disparity? No, I get where they're coming from. Blind nationalism can create unwanted hostility and spread needless ignorance. Alright, I like the last paragraph. But let me ask you something. When someone says "Canada is the best", do you take them seriously? Do you think they actually thought a lot on it before they said it? Now one would be thinking, "people should THINK before they talk". No s**t, but it just doesn't work that way, does it? People say things all the time that they haven't thought about, and I'm sure that "Canada is the best" is one of those things. Now, I can freely say this because I've said that numerous times, and still do. "Canada's the BOMB", "Canada owns", "Canada this, Canada that, BLAH BLAH BLAH." But do I mean it? I love my country, but do I seriously think that it's better than the US? No, I don't. And the people around me know it. That's right, the people I'm talking to know I would never claim Canada is better than every other country on this EARTH. Bee tee double-you, on many levels, I know the US is better than Canada. More people, more money, more heat. But then, they also get hurricanes, like you said. It's less safe. BLAH. BLAH. BLAH. Deimos Just because we can, doesn't mean we should. Two wrongs most certainly doesn't make a right. No, they most certainly do not. But don't you think you've taken this a tad too far? =/ Me, I was just defending the poor guy that was misfortunate enough to talk when he should have shut up. Deimos We don't have a legitimate basis to claim being the overall "best", and another country's pride doesn't justify otherwise. What is up with this? When someone says "my country is the best", they aren't in court, under oath! If it bothers you that people are country-hugging saps, just too bad. There will always be people like that and there's nothing you can do about it. And telling them to stop saying what they love to say won't do s**t about it. And I do believe arguing about this is low, even for me. Poor Spectre..

My grade 5 teacher was brutal. You know how teachers tend to not finish the whole course? We completed the entire curriculum with two months to spare, and that was even though we never did classwork on Friday's and just did like art or sports or whatever. So our last two months was a party everyday. It was over two times harder than my current classes.

That teacher sounds awesome. Yeah, Mrs. Avraam was having a lot of trouble finishing the course last year.
..But this year, she gets twice the time for the same material.
