Ahahahaha I don't think you'll need to worry about human children any time soon with me, Pyre.

It freaks me out enough that I have friends getting married 'n' s**t already. Yeah.

That's a lovely snake there, Urby. And I gotta have to say that you're lovely on both pictures. smile

Kids... Everyone around me get the kids and/or married and all, it's getting nuts. On top of that, I get to be asked the most nagging question possible: "When will you have kids?"

Really? What will change in THEIR lives if I have kids? Seriously? It's nobody's goddamn business! See, in Montreal, nobody would have bothered me with that question at all but, in this town in here, it seems to matters. It's a fair size town with a tiny village way of thinking. This what I missed the most about the big city.

Ah, that stuff weirds me out, too. Nice pics, now that I'm over the shock. I like your makeup in the last and that's a cool name for a snake.

I have a couple pics of me from tonight. I had to take them both myself because I asked my mom and... ugh. I really don't understand how anyone can be so damned bad at taking a simple picture. I show her how to zoom in and out, but she manages to take a picture of the whole damned room! Then she finally gets it zoomed in about right, but I'm at the bottom of the frame and there is all this blank space at the top. And she shakes it more with both hands than I do one-handed. It's hard to camwhore in this family. sad

I think this is the first ohoto I've posted where you can see my eyes somewhat decently. Although they look oddly green.

Zoomed out.

Me wearing that summery dress I probably shouldn't have bought. I wanted to do something more interesting with my hair, but between my waking up late that day and my dad showing up early... Remind me not to stand directly under lights when I take pictures. I have weird shadows all over my face.

And one of my favorite shirts, which turned out freakishly yellow like every pic I snap in the bathroom. If I had a better image editor, maybe I could fix that.

An eye make-up closeup. THIS IS HOW YOU DO AN EGYPTIAN EYE. Seriously drives me nuts when I see people who draw it in as thick as a finger.

Annnnnnnnnnnd a photo of a ribbon dancer from the Peking Acrobats that turned out really well.

Probably shouldn't have bought? Pft. You look amazing in that dress. I love the design.

I'm not sure what it's called, but the raised pattern around the neck on that shirt looks really interesting. I can't make out the details... is it a specific pattern like floral or such, or an intricate design? And despite the yellowish tone, I like your expression in the shirt pic, as well.

You have great taste when it comes to jewelery/accessories, too.

Have you tried adjusting the light setting on the camera in different locations? Also, and this may sound odd, but when using the flash have you tried taking pictures with the camera upside down? Sometimes having the flash under the lens gives better portrait lighting.

Camera and dress talk aside, you look quite beautiful.

It might be the lights. If you're using old incandescent light bulbs, they'll almost always make you look yellow. Particularly in rooms like a bathroom since the light is generally going to reflect off of the walls which are bound to be close by, and of course the mirror(s). It's why you don't look too yellow in the close up, because the flash washes out the yellow light.

No big deal really, you can probably color correct if it you cared that much or just take a picture in a room with different lighting.

I do really like that shirt though

Aw... thanks, guys. heart

Xan - The whole shirt has a lace overlay in a floral pattern. The details at the neck are just ruffles. 3nodding

And I actually didn't use the flash at all, since the middle two pics were taken in the mirror.

Wolffy - Oh yeah. It's definitely the lights. But both of our bathrooms have these bars of a good four bulbs, and it seems kinda wasteful to replace them until they burn out. Plus, there is this odd covering that fits over them that I have a feeling would give a yellowish cast, anyways.

Thanks, Paz, Ryo.

I used liquid eyeliner. L'Oreal Lineur Intense in the old felt-tip design. All of the pros say to line from the middle in and then the middle out, but I've always just done it in little strokes from the inner corner to the outer. I try to angle the wing tip towards the end of my eyebrow, so both sides wind up relatively even. And if I get it too thick in places, I put some L'Oreal Clean Artiste Eye Make-Up Remover on a q-tip and touch it up.

Edit: That's just the upper lash-line, of course. Then I use regular kohl liner on the upper and lower inner rims. L'Oreal Pencil Perfect. The HIP Chrome liner comes in nifty colors (silver lightning), but I have yet to buy a stick that isn't somehow defective. And if you just want basic black, I'm pretty sure the Pencil Perfect is cheaper, but eh... they're both drugstore price range, so not a big difference.

I should be a bloody L'Oreal spokesmodel.
