"He told me he's happy Suzaku allowed him to be a girl, and that I shouldn't be this shy," Lian replied, blushing harder. She smiled when Riku told her Hotohori was talking to him. "Looks like they can talk to us too."
"But it's true!" Nuriko said in a huff. "You two really are too shy." Privately to her he added with a wry teasing tone, "You know you want him."
Lian only blushed harder.
"Stop teasing me," she mumbled, looking at the floor in embarrassment.

"Alright, this is getting a bit confusing. Can we have our bodies back?" He asked and Hotohori chuckled.
I am here my son, if you need me. And Nuriko, I know you are excited, but try not to give your new self too much grief.
Riku felt Hotohori's consciousness fade away, he figured it had gone back into a dormant state.

I am not getting too excited, Nuriko's voice pouted as he too faded to the back of Lian's mind. I'll be here if you need me, sweetie. Tootles.
They stood there in an awkward silence. Lian looked down at her feet, blushing.
"Uhm . . ."

Riku let out a nervous chuckle, "Well that was interesting. Look do not take what they say to heart, we are still us, even if they are part of us, we do not have to do what they say." He was blushing too and he scratched the back of his neck, "I am sorry for that, I feel like this is my fault."

Lian was quiet for a moment, then looked up, laughing hestitantly. She slowly sunk to the ground, still laughing, and ran a hand through her bangs.
"No, it's not," she said, still chortling slightly. "Gods, that was strange. I feel so . . . different." She smiled sheepishly at Riku. "I guess we'll have to get used to this, no?"

"Yes, I guess we will. It was strange, to say the least. But I do feel honored, to be able to help summon Suzaku twice. To be able to protect the priestess again." He smiled again, his hair was still messy. "I feel different as well, but it's a good different I think."

Lian nodded.
"Yes, I agree. It does feel slightly refreshing." She laughed when he looked up at his messy hair, and knew she musn't have looked any better. "You know, with your hair like that . . . you look like the original Hotohori."

He smiled and walked over, touching her cheek, then showing her the fleck of dirt, "And you looked quite a bit like the original Nuriko with this dirt mole and your hair flopped to the side." He laughed, this really was strange.

Lian turned cherry red, but laughed with Riku.
"I never noticed that there," she said, touching the place he had put his hand. She looked up at the moon. "I just realized . . . how clear the moon is up here in the mountains."

"It is nice in the mountains, is it not? The air is so clean, and all the trees. I like it up here, unfortunately I don't often get the chance to come up here."
He smiled, "I'm never going to get to sleep."

((Don't worry about that part too much. I'm relatively open to slight changes. Besides, I was planning on having things SLOWLY start to come back to normal... sort of. Atleast with the night part. I figured that once ALL of the Priestesses had been found(which they have), then night would start to fall again. It also helps irk some of the baddies. *grins*))

"Yes, it is," Lian agreed, smiling. "And I'm not certain if I am either, not after this." She sighed and looked back at the moon again. "I wonder if Liang is okay . . ."

"We will find out, I promise. As soon as we get back to the capital, I will make sure we do everything we can to find him." He smiled and looked up, "It is really neat to see stars, actually see the constellations." He looked very wistful, sitting on the ground, so regal and peaceful.

"Thank you," Lian smiled. Riku looked so . . . breathtaking, sitting there with his hair washed in moonlight. She looked up at the constellations too.

Riku glanced over at her, amazed with how lovely she really was. He remembered what she'd told Chiriko and tried to push romantic thoughts out of his head. He figured all that would happen was harm for both of them, and it was better this way, just friends. Now that he knew what was pulling him toward her, he was better able to control it.
