Areli smiled. "Don't worry. Its better than sleeping outside, most of the time anyway. Its cleaner, quieter, drier..." she murmured, before pulling him infront of her, and licking his fur slightly, starting to clean his fur down, os he would sleep clean. She kept her paw around him, tight enough so he would stay with her, but not so she would hurt him.

Jax yawned, snuggling down against Areli's warm fur. He shut his eyes and curled up into a little ball. At least it wouldn't rain inside.
Brooke padded into the den, about to call Jax over, when she saw the little brown cub curled up beside Areli.
'Aww, he's so cute...' She said softly, with a light grin.

Areli's ears turns slightly when Brooke spoke, and she looked up and nodded, before getting back to cleaning Jax's fur, until it was shiny and smooth. She hugged him close infront of her to keep him warm, knowing it would get colder as the night started coming closer. "I think I'm starting to like this little guy." she said softly to Brooke and anyone else that cared.

Brooke's smile grew wider. 'So am I.' She said, thinking of how she had despised the little cub not long before, and how she had decided she was starting to like him, and then gone back to thinking him the biggest little jerk in the world. But seeing him cuddled up against Areli like he was now gave him an air of innocence. 'I think you just became his mom.' She teased softly to keep from waking him up.

Areli smiled. "Maybe I have" she said, taking Brooke seriously in every way, as she kept Jax cuddled up close to her body, her paws wrapped around the little kit.

Jax was dreaming.
He had been but very young. All he could remember was a gray lion stalking away, each step full of anger. He looked at his mother, who sighed, and picked him up, bringing him away from his brother. And his mother had sat him down, and started to tell him...

Areli closed her eyes, laying her head on her paws over Jax. She tried to fall asleep, but it just wouldn't come. She sighed, not wanting to get up, afraid she would wake the little kit.

The young scarlet King watched all occuring within his pride with a quiet demeanor and an air of slight amusement. Seeing that the kits were welcome by all the lionesses, he relaxed, and padded off for his evening patrol.
He returned close to dusk, having mulled over the new Pride members during his walk, and decided the responsibility would be good for all the femmes.
He trotted into the den, and surveyed Areli with Jax, smiling at her.
On gentle, silent paws, he leapt up onto the ledges and made his way to his bed.

Amaree picked up young Revyn by the scruff and followed Areli into the den. She jumped up to her usual ledge and sat down. "Time for a little rest." She said, curling up around the cub to protect him. She gave him a final lick on the forehead and a nudge and began to purr and rest. She nodded off and began to dream.

Revyn was fast asleep before he had even touched the stone ledge. The days events had tuckered out the little cub. He had a family now...and two mothers...All was good in his world.
The teal cub followed at a more sedate pace. He chose a spot by the entrance of the cave. He was worried about his sister. She still had not shown up. Mewing softly, Aygra curled up into a tiny ball, eyes focused on the outside world.

In the distance a faint, but familliar mew could be heard, calling for her brother. Dolsia had traveled far since she lost track of her brother, and tiny little black ears, and purple flakes could be seen poking up over a distant hill.

Brooke lay down on her ledge, letting her head flop onto the floor. Something nagged at her and kept her from falling asleep. She stared outside with her intense blue-eyed gaze, her ears perched forwards, straining. She could almost swear she heard a mewling, very faint and barely audible. She lay without moving. And... there it was, again. It was getting slowly louder and she was slowly surer that some little lion was coming their way.
She stood up, and padded to the den's opening..

Aygra was on his paws, ears straining forward. "Sister?" He sniffed the air but smelled nothing. Knowing that he hadn't been hearing things, he mewled out into the darkness.

Areli lifted her head slowly, her paws still wrapped around little Jax to keep him warm. She looked off, out of the den, before seeing a small dot rising over the hill.

'Sister?' Brooke repeated. She took a step out of the den. 'Here, Aygra, come with me.' She didn't want the baby wandering about alone in the dark.
