Bed sounded really nice, especially since Kaleb really couldn't keep his head up and eyes open. The pain had eased up a bit, which meant he didn't concentrate on it as much, but he didn't seem to be concentrating on anything too well. He was too sleepy to mind. The mage's most immediate thought was the hope that Riley wasn't going to just pick him up and throw him over one shoulder like he usually did, since it would be really embarrassing while Demyx was around to see it.

He leaned down and picked Kaleb up carefully. He didn't want to toss him over his shoulder since that would probably mean a face full of feathers. He could just carry him normally and hopefully get him back onto the bed without too much trouble.

Skittering in, Demyx Carefully grabbed Kaleb's wings, and lifted the appendages enough so they wouldn't drag across the floor as they made their way to the bed. From experience Demyx knew that folding the wings felt pretty bad, but dragging them felt worse. It also messed up one's wings, as the sitarst knew all too well.

Kaleb whimpered once as he was picked up, but then quickly settled back to an unresponsive drowsy state. The little mage was glad Demyx was supporting his wings since the ache wasn't nearly as bad as the strain of letting them hang down. His new tail, on the other hand, hurt real bad just hanging limp, so he wedged his first tail between his legs and Riley's body and used it to cradle his new tail so it hurt less.

"Sorry .." He knew it had to hurt but it was just a bit more to bed. Once he got him there he laid Kaleb down carefully on his stomach. "I'm gonna have'ta move them again ta rebandage them. So i guess get comfortable and i'll try to be careful"

Mage laid down, Demyx slowly put down the wings as well. At least on the bed they could be spread out slightly to take care of them easier. It wouldn't feel good, sure, but it had to be done.

Kaleb shifted painfully and uncomfortably until he was able to pull over a pillow and wiggle over it enough to rest his head and shoulders on it. With that done, it felt much better than lying on the floor. "Thank you..." he said really quietly, letting his eyes close again. It looked like he was ready to just fall asleep right then and there, but then he jerked his head up with a concerned look. "I-is my balcony door still open?" he asked tiredly, afraid for what might happen to his books if the weather turned bad.

"Umm .. probably." He hadn't thought to shut it so he looked over at Demyx. "Did you close it?" Kaleb was probably worried about stuff getting in from outside and messing up the brick books.

Demyx was rather confused over Kaleb worrying about that, but he supposed worrying about stuff at home rather than the pain was a good thing.

Kaleb immediately settled back down, and made a quiet, agreeable noise to let Demyx know he was thankful. It was easier than nodding or forming an intelligible thank you. With that worry taken care of, the healer had fallen asleep within seconds.

"Good ... looks like he's asleep." He sighed and relaxed slightly. Kaleb asleep meant he could freak out once Demyx was gone. "Thanks fer doin that fer him. He'd b***h all day if it was left open."

Kaleb would like that. Then if he had to go to work maybe he wouldn't feel so lonely.

"Getting a hold of us isn't really...that...easy."
Demyx frowned slightly. It wasn't like the blonde had anything normal like a cellphone, and the castle itself didn't have a phone that he knew of. Besides, it wasn't like those that weren't even supposed to exist would have those kind of things in the first place.
"I can always stop by to visit though....and, yeah, I'll grab the dragon and bring it back here. Give me a few minutes..."
Grinning at the other, Demyx quickly opened a portal and stepped through.

Kid needed a cellphone. Or maybe since he was weird he didn't think he needed one. He shook his head and guessed that as long as Demyx said he would visit that would be okay.
