Deimos The main one isn't active enough as it is. We may have plenty of members, but I think few actually post here. More forums would probably collect dust. Unless they were provincial divisions. Then all the "hey whos from ____ town?!2?" threads wouldn't have to be locked, just moved. Maybe we could name the subforums?

Kitsune_Dakota Maybe we could name the subforums? That could be a good idea. I mean, even the provincial threads aren't that active. Most of the headings are "I'm from ______" and they never come back. Subforums might encourage more people to talk about their city/town, plus any affairs revolving around their area. We could try making more events I guess. I'll be happy to provide art as prizes. And I may contribute some gold once I finish more art commissions. We can hold avatar contests, but whoever's hosting it must not profit anything from an entrance fee of some sort. It is a guild, after all. If someone was looking to profit, they might as well move to Avatar Talk. Other ideas: - banner contest - story writing contest - Canadian history contest (which wouldn't be much of a contest when everyone has access to google) I have to admit though, half of the time I'm not around the guild forums is because of the people. neutral Sometimes I see people who can't type coherently, I have to take a few minutes to make out what their posts mean or what they're trying to say. I guess it's cruel to say we should only invite literate people into this guild, but eh. confused I was hoping a story writing contest might inspire a well-amount of individuals to use their linguistic skills, rather than rp in a pub/bar but that's just my opinion.

A few prospective members on the "Join" list have looked good, as far as diction and typing goes. Unfortunately they seldom post. I get the feeling guilds aren't frequented often.
The alternative is the rest of Gaia, which personally, I am estranged to at this point. None of the prior people I enjoyed reading the posts of are around anymore. My former stomping grounds on the site - GD - is, sadly, sorely lacking as of late. Maybe I've just been around too long, but the quaint atmosphere of the guild is oftentimes a relief. It's like a retirement home for "oldbies" who can't keep up with all the new kids.
I was thinking of holding a saluting contest once, but in light of how many people have access to cameras, that probably wouldn't be fair. It'd make a nifty collage of nationalism, though.
Story writing would be a fantastic idea to get people interested.

I remember I was an ED Enforcer, but I grew tired of ED, until it got to a point where it lacked originality having one repeat topic after the next. Then of course, the Enforcer guild fell apart, the leader wasn't there to provide for us anymore. I don't even remember, it was so long ago. The saluting collage sounds neat, we don't have to make it a contest though. 3nodding We can still make it fair, no one loses/wins anything.

It used to be more comedic, but most of the regulars there now just seem to have the most bland, expected replies. The GD made a mimicry order after, the "GD Guardians" or some s**t. Their effect was minimal at best, and they phased out pretty quickly.

I'm glad to be a part of this guild! I wish I was feeling better though. I had surgery on my throat Wednesday afternoon. Hopefully, I'll start feeling better soon. At least I have percocet for the pain.

Their effect was minimal at best, and they phased out pretty quickly. Yeah I wasn't around GD long enough to see all that, but I was wondering what happened to the Guardians haha. Apparently they teamed up with the Enforcers, which is part of the reason why the guild faltered. And then of course, there was the constant criticism on how we're organizing an inferior complex. Wannabe-mods. But you know what, anyone could join the Enforcers as long as you believe in directing lost threads, not to make fun of newbies. As for the mods, they didn't have enough to get around. It certainly makes it more efficient now that we have a "report thread/post" option.

Damn, I should have checked for that thread. Feck. The mini-beaver banner is rockin'. I didn't know a slogan so loaded with sexual innuendo could catch on. xp
