Jeff started patting every part of Yakov. "You're ok? Nothing is missing? Theres no rodent demons? No silver poisioned beer cans?" It sounded rediculus, but Jeff was being very serious. His face was mixed with shock, fear, and pain.

Jeff let out a very deep sigh before hugging Yakov back. "Good, because I'm not fighting the rat queen to get you back again..." He held onto Yakov tightly and happened to glance over at the clock. "s**t! Don't you have class?"

Yakov kissed Jeff on the cheek. "One, it's not as important as you. Two, it's pretty much guided study with me and two other people, I can just e-mail my advisor about it later. Three, it's not as important as you. Oh, and four, it's not as important as you."

Jeff smiled, though it wasn't full heartedly. "I...don't remember much of what happened...one minute she was on teh bench and the next thing I remember is me fighting a rodent queen which I know is definatly a dream...though she was kind of cute in a little sister kind of way...SO spill, what's happening?"

Yakov really didn't want to go into detail if Jeff wasn't ready for it, but he didn't want to lie to him either. "A lot's been happening georgous. You're gonna have to be more specific.

Jeff could sense how uneasy Yakov was. HE wasn't sure why but he suddenly was affraid to know what happened. "Well...um...I'm not sure how to be more specific." He tried thinking about last night and he got a sudden sharp pain in his skull. He grabbed his head and winced. "Uhg! My head..."

Yakov winced too at Jeff's expression of pain. "Hey, be careful with yourself. You've been putting your body through hell. It's a little upset at you right now." He laid his head down on Jeff's chest. He really didn't want to have to say this, but Jeff needed to know. "I suppose the really important thing for you to know is that Brittany...well...she's dead."

Jeff's eyes clouded over and his body started shaking. "...the...pain...silver...sharp...stop..." He started mumbling as the tears started pouring forth again. He started pawing at his wrists weakly.

"...d...dead...dead...d...dead..." Jeff started repeating the word as his arms went limp again. He stared into nothingness and wished it was he who was dead.

"I don't... hunt humans..." Connor reminded her when he pulled away for breath, but only for a moment. Somehow, though the blood had disgusted him, his heart was pounding and he wanted Luka right then and there. Their mouths met again and he groaned.

"We'll go now," Curtis told her. "And I'll drive at a relatively human pace so you have time to nap." He started the car and pulled out, headed comfortably towards the school.

Yakov snuggled up to Jeff. "I killed her, Jeff. I killed her...I couldn't let this go on. I need you. She was trying to take you away from me."

Jeff's eyes slowly closed and his breathing evened out. He stopped shaking and drifted once again into sleep.

Kat yawned but tried to stay awake for the car ride. She fell asleep once but woke herself up. When they pulled into the school she could barely keep her eyes open.

Luka's brain was firing two messages at once. One suggested that she rip the boys pants off. The other was busy telling her how sad it was that she was giving in with only one day left. Her hands weren't listening to either. They entwined themselves in Connor's hair. The kiss suddenly became even more intense. She tried pressing even closer. It was the sound of the door rattling against the door frame that made her stop. "Excuse me for a moment." She practically ran into the bathroom. She jump into the shower, cloths and all, turned it to extremely cold, and sank to the ground. "s**t." It seemed the only appropriate think to say.

Yakov wished that Jeff could manage to stay awake. His sleep had seemed more important than the nightmares earlier, but now...at least Jeff had him for comfort when he was awake.
