I think the only real, legit way to "get rich quick" on Gaia is through buying Gaia cash.
Getting "rich" on Gaia generally takes time. However, aside from Gaia cash, the quickest way on Gaia to get rich would be mastering Exchanging/Vending. That's where my gold comes from :3

You look at which items are in the cash store, and see which sell the highest on the MP, buy it, sell it on the MP and whammo. That's how I did it. Although, I'm not 'rich' in the newer sense... gold has gotten less valuable it seems like ;-;
