Volker's eyes darted open as the prisoner regained consciousness. He looked down at the girl in disgust. "Security can take it from here," he groaned as he headed for the door. Motioning for a few guards to take over, he glanced one last time at Flaze before disappearing around the corner. "Wonder who will come for her," he muttered as he entered the elevator.

It had been hours. Hours of nothing but searching. How on earth could she have gotten herself so lost, and why didn't anybody know the way? Mylan kept her head down, sighing frequently. She had given up on asking for directions long ago. Most people only looked at her like she was crazy. At one point, she actually laid out her tarot cards, seeing if she could find a way back. All they did was point her back to the ocean. The very last time, she almost didn't believe what she saw. "Is that boy channeling...electricity? Mylan only shook her head at the boy when he swung himself up onto the buildings. "What on earth?" Her eyes then fell on the dragon. "It's so beautiful." Kicking up sand as she made her way down the beach, Mylan crouched down in front of the dragon, examining it.

Flaze glared at the guards. She slowly got up, then walked to the farthest, darkest corner. Pain was still traveling through her body. She sat down in the corner, and touched the spot that had knocked her out. 'Stupid golf ball cannon...' She thought. Flaze leaned against the wall and closed her eyes. She tried to imagine what it was like outside. Sunny. She closed her eyes harder, trying to imagine that there would be dark, gray clouds. Outside, the clouds did just that. Flaze slowly opened her eyes and stared at her weapon, which she was still holding in her hand.

Zephyr slid down a curtain hung out of a window, and dropped onto the savement. He vaulted over a parked car, and sprinted across the street. He flipped over the railing at the edge of the pavement, and climbed a draipipe onto the roofs again. He was nearing the C.E.R. headquarters, the same way he had escaped two years ago. He shivered.
((So you...wait. I won't say it! Because you'll just invent some magical way of knowing about Zephyr's abilities.))

Btw gabby, no, I hadn't even realized you posted... sorry! ]]  As Gabriella takes Alendel out of her coat, he takes a seat on her soft hand. "Yessum yessums... Alendel sent by good empress mother. Protect you, said to Alendel. Alendel keep you safe. Comet has come, evil evil comet. Alendel remembers still the prophecy of the comet. Alendel there when legend was born." Alendel excitedly says. Indeed, Alendel was present when the great prophet told the story of the comet, nearly 3,000 years ago. He was probably one of the few beings left in the galaxy old enough to remember it. "Comet come, puts princess in great danger! Puts everyone in great danger! Alendel told make sure lady good Gabriella safe. Here Alendel is, his life to serve her." Alendel stands to give a deep bow to Gabriella.

Zephyr crouched on the rooftop adjacent to the C.E.R. building, and held his left arm out, his hand clawed. a ball of lighting grew in it, and when it had reached a size that satisfied Zephyr, he brought his arm back, then shot it forwards again. The ball slamed into the building, overheating the circuits, and melting the fuses. All the power went down, including the emergency power.
((So, you still like surprises? Sorry, couldn't resist saying that. biggrin ))

Flaze quickly looked up when the power went off. She tried telling herself that she could escape. She quickly got up, only to fall down by the pain that was still in her leg where the cement use to be. She cursed under her breath, and closed her eyes. 'Come on... There must be someway to get up and run without actually getting up...' Flaze thought. Still holding her weapon, she started to think hard.

Volker jumped as he saw all the lights suddenly go out. "Damn you!" he shouted as he ran as fast as he could back to the cell. The door slid open and Volker marched in front of Flaze's cell. "You! And you! Secure the perimeter!" He demanded as he drew his blades. "So, you're not alone on this planet, eh?" he asked her as he looked around. The only light was coming from the flashlights that the guards were carrying.

For some very odd reason, Flaze totally forgot about getting up, and her mind went to the fact the lights were off. 'That has to be Zephyr!' Flaze thought. She closed her eyes and told something to herself over and over. 'Come on... You can think of a way...'

"Get Delta Squad down here! I want every door blocked! Nobody gets in this room! Ya hear me!" Volker barked as he looked down at Flaze. "You're little hero can't get through here," he spat, turning his attention back to the task at hand.
