I think its a great idea for J-rock/J-pop to be playing at anime conventions for promotional values and just plain having a goodtime listening to them. As MANY have said before me alot of Anime fans are into J-rock/J-pop so in my opinion its all good.

I still maintain that flying to Japan and seeing said bands in their natural environment is much better than seeing 'em here.

i wonder if there is going to be any bands that i know at Ohyocon........ like if they would come from Japan for such a small convention

if you're lucky, maybe there's a local scene with japanese bands or something... new york is like... king of indie/underground ********.... japunks will be coming back in spring and im sooo excited for it! i hope this time guitar wolf is in the lineup cuz i missed them 2003. check the url in my profile... karaterice.com .... some indie/underground punk bands roll with them so it's always a fun night 3nodding

Most sell out before I even get a chance to walk to the local conbini and abuse Ticket Pia. GRARGH. /rant It's even worse when the band is dominated by its fanclub.

I can't think of any American act where someone wouldn't be able to get tickets because of the damn fanclub confused Fanclubs in the states do NOTHING...it was kind of strange to find out how differently the Japanese viewed it all those years ago when I realized it.
