Sir Lawrence saw MacKenzie and walked over to him. He had to have some answers now to the questions he had asked the night before, "General MacKenzie... you never answered my question last night... why were you accused of the murder of Arthur Richmond? And do you have any defense against it?"

Sir Lawrence then heard s lot of yelling coming from upstairs and he ran to find out what had happened. He then saw Mr. Rogers holding Mrs. Rogers limp body and sighed... he came to the conclusion that she had died in her sleep and he looked down at the ground. Things were getting worse and worse. He walked over to Mr. Rogers and placed his hand gently on his shoulder, "I'm very sorry, Rogers... I shall go get Dr. Armstrong for you so he can examine her and figure out what happened..." Sir Lawrence walked out of the room and searched for Armstrong's room. He found what he believed to be the doctor's room and he knocked on the door. When the door opened, he looked at the doctor and spoke quickly, "Dr. Armstrong... come quickly... Mrs. Rogers is... dead..." He led Armstrong to the room.

Upon receiving the grim news from Wargrave, Dr. Armstrong lowered his head in silence. He hadn't quite slept through the night, immersed in deep thinking. The death of Mrs. Rogers, the second in a very short length of time after the terrible warning from the mysterious voice, was a fact that could not go ignored by any of them. However, as Wargrave urged him, the doctor finally gave up on his digressions and followed the man to Mrs. Rogers' room.
The woman laid still on the bed just as he remembered at the time he had left her to sleep on the night before. Mr. Rogers now weeped in a chair with his hands covering his face, apparently unable to endure staring at his wife's lifeless body any longer. Armstrong did not need to approach her to realize she wasn't breathing, given the grave tone of the whole situation. Nevertheless, he kneeled beside the bed, hopelessly checking for the absent pulse. He lifted her eyelids briefly and sighed at the expected result of his quick analysis. "She passed away in her sleep, probably from heart failure..." he told Wargrave and the now widowed butler, albeit knowing that wasn't the only possibility. It was true that Mrs. Rogers' heart condition was frail, but such an unprovoked episode was still highly unlikely. Armstrong placed his hand on Mr. Rogers' shoulder and spoke in a warm, conforting tone. "She felt nothing during her final moments. May her good soul rest in peace."

William had only begun the investigation on the cyanide and he heard mr. Roger's yell. He rushed up to figure out what was wrong and found it was ms. Rogers... lying dead. He heard Mr. Rogers speak and bent his head downward in honor of the death. "I'm sorry for your loss," was all he could say. William had seen much death in his days, the two saddest kinds of deaths being married people and young child's deaths. A small tear crawled slowly down his cheek.

((So sorry, everyone sweatdrop Hope it's okay to find another broken Indian. If not, I'll edit.))
Lombard had been reluctant to speak about what had happened to him in the bush. He didn't plan to deny it, but he didn't want Miss Claythorne to think less of him. He knew that was a silly reason to not speak, but then Mr. Marston got himself offed, and the general confusion that followed rather turned everyone's attention elsewhere. At Sir Lawrence's suggestion, he went to bed like everyone else, but he didn't fall asleep for several hours.
After a night of fitful sleep, Lombard woke to the sound of shouts from down the hall. Mr. Rogers' anguished cries chillled him, and he knew that something was wrong. Bothering only to throw a dressing gown on over his pajamas, Lombard stepped out of his room to find that a small crowd had gathered in and around the Rogers' room. He stopped just behind Blore in time to hear him say "I'm sorry for your loss." Another one? Bugger. Are we all doomed, then? Lombard glanced into the room to see Mr. Rogers weeping and Dr. Armstrong finishing a pointless examination of Mrs. Rogers. So now there were eight. Wait a minute...
Remembering what happened with the statue the night before, Lombard quickly ran down the stairs to check the mantle. Sure enough, there were the pieces of another Indian statue on the floor.
"Everyone? You might want to see this..." he called to those awake.

Sir Lawrence heard Lombard speak and he turned to face him. He released that Lombard had to show them something that seemed to be very important... hopefully it wasn't another dead body, "Alright Mr. Lombard... what's it?" He walked out the door and followed Lombard down the stairs. There he saw was another Indian statue broken on the floor... just like last night when Marston died...
