Her hands tightening into fists, she didn't want to hurt him, but she felt trapped... She didn't want him to get hurt, why didn't he understand? Would she ever be forgiven for what she planned on doing?
Tears went down her cheeks as she looked him in the eye, before looking down, away from the man she was about to hurt.
"I'm sorry."

Alric saw how she wasn't looking him in the eyes...she was embarrased for this but what was she planning.

With that said, she clunked him on the back of the head with a stick, hard enough to knock him unconscious for a while; looking away with tears in her eyes, she started to run having looked at the map already. She knew there was a sea nearby, where she could get onto a ship and sail away...

alric woke some time later...with a headache...she didn't...looking behind him seeing the stick....Oh she did.
Getting up a little fuzzy he shook out the cobwebs. Which way did she go......
He soon caught onto her tracks. It wasn't very hard, she was running and so she wasn't careful with them.

She ran the entire way through the woods, until she heard the familiar sounds of voices in her head. When she saw the sea, she could only smile a little; she would find a ship with people she could trust. Going straight toward the dock, Rin found a nice boat that would take her all the way north to Morgandy.
This will work, his thoughts are clear, and he can look me in the eye; he will do.
Getting onto the boat, she paid her fee, finding a place by the railing, overlooking the sea but not the town.

Alric was able to move extremely quickly following her tracks... once he was on his way he knew where she was headed. He had noticed she got a map and this direction there was only one town.
He left her trail knowing it was the only way he could catch her. cutting across going the most direct root, he soon spotted the town.
Where would she be....he scanned the city quickly noticing one of the boats was preparing to leave....that would be it. he quickly used his sight and spotted rin's unique color on the boat just before she went below deck. He got down to the docks quickly and boarded the ship, paying his way and hiding away topside.

Rin stayed down below deck until she could not stand the stench of filth and sweat; she had understood that Patches took good care of his boat, but was surprised to see this ship was nothing compared to his.
Oh well, this man was nice to let me board in such short notice.
Moving above, she noticed the two men following her, talking sweet words to her... but she zoned them out, leaning against the railing, allowing the cool, sweet air to blow her hair back.
"C'mon baby, you shouldn't be by yourself on a boat such as this, come down and join us in a friendly game."
The man leaned against the railing beside her, looking at the beauty that had happened to board; he had never seen someone quite like her on this ship before.
His friend went to the other side of her, slicking back his hair with some spit while he smiled, looking her down.
"We have cards, so you shouldn't get too bored while on this ship, and we'll see what happens."
"No thank you, I would rather stay up here."
She spoke sweetly, knowing that they would not leave her alone quite yet, no matter what she said.

Alric watched this interaction, ready to step in if needed. These two men probably wouldn't do anything but even if they did she could easily pushthem away.

Finally, the men got the hint and left, both mumbling under their breathes.
Sighing, Rin just continued to look off at the sea, before she began to shiver a little with the cold. A storm was coming; she could tell by the air.
Should I go in?
With the thought of the two men that just left her, she shook her head; no, she would be safer out here then in there.

Alric moved a little around the ship but always keeping an eye on rin. It would soon begin to rain and he thought she would go below decks before it began.

Still, she stood out there as the rain began to fall, her eyes looking up at the sky, before she looked back out to the waves. It was a little scary, but Rin felt secure... Like she did whenever Einar was nearby. She had missed him, and still did... but... she knew she could dread over it. Instead, she had to learn from it, such as leaving behind Alric...
"Einar, I'm sorry, I promise I won't let that happen to anyone else, because of me, and I promise to fix this war."
She spoke quietly, looking out at the waves.

Alric continued to watch....what was she saying to herself....he continued to watch as the swells continued to increase. why was she still out here in this weather.
Just as he was thinking this the boat dipped as a massive wave crashed over the edge washing rin off of the ship.

Eyes widening, Rin had only blinked before she found herself sliding; before she could catch her bearings, she was getting tossed around by the waves, cold and adrenaline rushing through her veins. She was terrified, feeling the waves continue to push her down, not allowing her a seconds breath before she was pulled down again.
There were no cries for help, not a word could be spoken before she was under, getting pulled down by an unknown force. She was now falling, sinking into the darkness, her eyes looking warily up at the light above, hand reaching towards unknown savior.
She thought of Patches, thought of Tristin, Adwin, Einar... She could see him, feel him above her, touching her fingertips as she knew she was hallucinating... but was it really that bad to see such a wonderful thing she had missed so much?

Alric rushed over to the railing looking in the water for her He could not see her anywhere on the surface. Then he noticed a spot under the water....that would have to be her. He quickly stripped off any of his equipment that would weigh him down, then diving into the water after her
As he broke through, he opened his eyes seeing her sinking beow him...hand outstretched. He swam down quickly reaching out just touching her fingertips...then he had her hand, pulling her towards him...towards the surface

As she felt herself being pulled up to the surface, she barely was able to make out Alric above her, holding her hand before she lost consciousness...
Alric... I'm so sorry.
Eyes closing, she couldn't hold her breath any longer, her grip on his hand going limp as they neared the surface.
