Icesinger ^_^ thanks! :3 you should *laughs* The week after the con is my birthday week so I might be busy, and my sewing machine pooped out on me so I'm getting it fixed (I love knowing people with sewing machine) Its sorta odd to sew on someone else's machine! O: I found my extra sleeves! I might fiddle around with what looks best. I just have to figure out what shoes to wear D: Red shoes, white stockings! :'D That's nifty that you have a pair already. I just bought an Innocent World blouse with detachable sleeves. It's love, seriously.

:3 I was thinking of the red shoes and white socks. *o* they are so comfy too. If the red didnt work I was going to use my white shoes <3
XD yeah, I sorta took them off a Baby shirt I have. I have always wanted a Innocent World shirt! :< my boobs get in the way to much to wear them.

The prototype for my jumper/sun dress is finished--tomorrow I'm going to make the white sash for the waist and possibly a few decorative bows for the shoulders and hem. The next version is going to be in a green print. It'll still go over the white skirt.

Please ignore the lack of blouse and true petticoat. I was so excited to finish that I jumped to take photos immediately.

Belatedly, to be honest, I'm not sure what people do, Misa. I deconstruct things either with an actual seam ripper, or just by tracing the pieces onto newsprint.
I suck, though--so you'll want to find someone else's advice before you try anything like that I'm sure.

It varies from person to person. Some people a lot more comfortable and advance in sewing feel like making there own patterns because of their experience and practice with patterns.
Even then, some people that have been sewing for a long time or those who have not sewed for long go with patterns and sometimes modify and mesh other patterns together.
It is hard to explain, if you are wondering how you should start sewing, then it would be best to start off with patterns that you can find. It makes it easier to move into making your own once you have experience a few and you learn techniques, too.

I has cake tiem skirt. DX I just noticed that a seam is in the front of the skirt so later I will but the zipper to the back and redo the ruffle buttons : D easy as pie...er no cake!!! front back, the ruffles attatch with buttons on the waistband <3 ^_^ it was the first time I put in an invisable zipper <3 it took me a bit to figure it out but it looks 100000000% better then the normal zippers I put in (we dont speak of those zippers) I just have to make the a bow that will attatch with a pin.

EGL Goddess excellent job icesinger! how long did it take you? ^_^ thanks. I think it took about 6ish hours maybe (includeds pattern making time and cutting out fabrics) I did most of it last night and the ruffle today. Now I just have to do the bow but I'm sleepy so it might get finished tomorrow ^o^
